Cleveland legend Jim Brown said this after the Cavaliers championship in 2016. Also, multiple Cleveland media members have been talking about it. Do you all think we’re going to see it go up after LeBron retires? And if so what pose do you think it will be?

If he comes back for the mle, they can make the entire stadium a statue of Lebron and draft all of his kids?

  2. Illustrious_Kale_692

Lebron 100% deserves and will get a statue. Probably not right after he retires though

  3. Remote-Cucumber3503

The arena should be the I Promise arena. There should be multiple statues. The powder toss. the block by James both for sure

  4. CD-ROMCOM

It should be himthrowing his baby powder in the air

  5. justsomebro10

Obviously getting a statue. Will either be his signature dunk but I’m really hoping it’s The Block.

  6. Statshelp_TA

He’ll definitely get one. Probably will wait a little after he retires so that it’s not lost in the rest of his retirement tour spectacle

  7. CruffTheMagicDragon

That’s the most obvious thing ever

  8. Forty_Six_and_Two

After retirement, absolutely. I’ll never forget that comeback championship, down 3-1, everyone already crowning GSW.

    “LETS GO!”

  9. At this point, If anyone thinks he isn’t getting a statue they are delusional or just plain dumb. He’s done more for the city than any other athlete, possibly done more for the city than *any* athlete has done for *any* city.

Yeah. Of course. Absolutely no doubt.

The powder throw is the coolest pose. The block is an iconic moment, but it isnt a particularly cool pose IMO.

  11. WateryPasta

I would be suprised if anyone thought the best player in franchise history shouldn’t get a statue

  12. TallBobcat

Either the powder toss or Blocked By James.

  13. Jay_Nova1

Absolutely.  The powder pose during a snowfall.  🙂

  14. BustyUncle

He’s going to get a statue. Probably when he retires

  15. AkronGooner

I’m not so sure that he’s getting one anytime soon. You can’t leave a team twice and act like you are all about that city. He’s clearly stated that Akron and Cleveland are different in his mind. It’s no more “his city” than Nick Chubb’ or Lou Merloni’s city.

Very very few cities get to lay claim to an athlete that is truly legendary

Boston has Tom Brady. Chicago has Jordan. Ontario has Gretzky. And we have LeBron James. Arguably the most legendary one considering his global impact on culture and how long he’s been doing it. Anyone from Cleveland who doesn’t like and appreciate him is throwing away something 99% of sports fans will never get. Build him 10 statues. The only thing left that I want him to do is retire a Cav

  17. MozzyTheBear

Oh, he’s getting a MFing statue. I’m not even the biggest Bron nutswinger in the world by a mile, but I will go build one myself if no one else is willing.

  18. ReddyMcRedditorface

We put a statue up of Jim Fucking Thome. LeBron deserves 15 statues.

  19. UnconventionalWriter

Please god anything but the yellow jerseys.

  20. Still_Level4068

Yes I mean he brought a championship to cleveland on a promise

Alot of athletes promise to bring a championship to a city it don’t happen especially after you promise that.

I remember in hs when he got drafted I always wondered how lucky we were to get him like seriously

  21. TheSmokedSalmon420

I’ve said it before but I want it to be the largest statue an athlete has recieved. The MJ was weak af.

I want a LeBronument that is multiple stories high – I want it of his block with a giant basketball smashing into the side of the building. You walk under it every time you enter the arena

  22. Make it the size of the Statue of Liberty and put it on Lake Eerie.

    Statue of LeBrety

  23. ryuujinusa

I would be shocked if he doesn’t get several. CLE & Miami at least.

  24. alarmingkestrel

The statue should be towering over everything as you approach the city like the Titan of Braavos

  25. math-yoo

Maybe you could wait to talk about statues until a player retires?

  26. OkUnderstanding5343

Jim Brown lived and played for the Cleveland Browns his entire career. LeBron James hopped every couple years to try to find another champion. Let him build his own statue in Los Angeles.

  27. DrummerSteve

There 100% be a statue of LeBron in front of the stadium after he retires.

  28. BuschLightEnjoyer

The dunk or powder toss would be cool but I’d also like one of the famous photo post 2016 finals of him holding both trophies. Celebrate him getting one for the land.

  29. CountCoffinberry

The lebron statue is better than half the jordan era nba
