That was by far the worst game of this season to watch. Everyone knew what was coming. Absolutely sickening stuff.

Lane has got that “I really hate this fucking job sometimes…” energy, which to be honest, I can relate to. After that debacle of a 2 minute report, I’m starting to wonder if the blame is misplaced. If there’s anything I’ve learned after years and years of working in corporate america, it’s that the people enforcing dumbass rules and policy are just the buffers for the true decision and policy makers. And I bet the true powers like it like that. They can represent NBA officials as like this group of independent contractors that don’t have bosses or anybody to answer to, and then you make all the policy decisions, and they take all the blame. But the reality is (probably) that it’s not a bunch of out of control renegade refs making willy-nilly calls as they feel, it’s that they’ve been repeatedly trained and steered into a specific direction, and this is the result.
That game where naz, kat, and rudy, had 3 fouls a piece in the first half and Joel had like 1. The entire second half he just had wide open mid range jumpers cause everyone was afraid to even graze him.
