MASSIVE Bulls Trade Update…
This whole season we’ve been ramping up the Bulls trade talks talking about everything you need to know about the players involved who’s going to be moved and the big names that could be coming back our way however now with injuries happening almost every single week the Bulls right now without so many pieces
That it could stall things come trade deadline I’m your host Joey Mercer this is another episode of bulls digest and before we get into it there today I just want to say that about 85% of you that watch these videos are not subscribed to the channel so if you aren’t already
Subscribed to the channel make sure to go down below hit that subscribe button turn on the bell for notifications and every single time we upload you will be notified so you can stay up to date with our takes on your Chicago Bulls so without further Ado let’s get into the
Topic at hand there today which is injuries changing their plans now we’ve heard about Zack LaVine being available the entire season and how the first injury that he came with and when he went down and the team was playing very well which kind of changed his trade
Value or so we think her Bull’s doist before that the team was not playing very well at all and that’s when Trey talk really started to ramp up for them now there’s some more people injured on the team which are causing things to kind of go astray when it comes to
Moving some of our bigger pieces Dal and Terry just went down with an injury against the Toronto Raptors Tory Craig hasn’t played since December 16th and we’ve missed Lonzo ball for the past year and a half now when we go into the topic that saw today was from the dunk
Central and really piqued my uh interest because the article was from the athletic and I always like to see what they have to say this tweet said the Chicago Bulls are not anticipate to execute a major trade and will most likely retain their Core group of players per at Darnell Mayberry with a
Week remaining before the NBA trades deadline few within or around the Chicago Bulls organization anticipate the franchise making a major move if the Bulls swing a deal before the February 8th deadline most will will be surprised it’s not that the Bulls can’t make a trade but there’s a prevailing belief
That the front office won’t commit to something substantial now I saw the link to this I wanted to look more into the article cuz I thought there had to be more to it than just the front office not one to make a move and there
Absolutely was we can look at it and it says there’s a long history of the Bulls sticking with the status quo and after the last two deadlines came went without the Bulls being active the team’s decision makers haven’t provided any reason to think that will change Chicago
Also doesn’t sit in a position of power the Bulls are clinging to and perhaps overvaluing their most attractive asset Alex Caruso drawing little to no interest in their most talented and highest paid player Zack LaVine and might be stuck paying pricey aging veterans in demard D Roan and nicoa vuvi
And these are some accurate facts it’s it’s hard pill to swallow for sure but moving Caruso seems to be how we’re going to really push the needle on a trade but they have been like we really don’t want to move them he was an all the offensive guy last year we really
Think that he can stay on our team if we’re going to make a push for a championship which is true but I don’t think that they’re just a piece away from winning one they’d have to make several moves so if it came down to having to move him for the better of the
Future of this team then you might want to really sit down and think about that instead of saying he’s nearly Untouchable next thing we saw in this article was couple those realities with rampant injuries continuing to ravage the roster further tests revealed fourthe forward Patrick Williams has a
Phone edema in his left foot the diagnos diagnosis sorry calls for active rest Williams is scheduled to be reassessed in approximately 2 weeks he has been fitted with a protective walking boot to immobilize his foot it’s pretty clear right now with moving into the end of
The month of January and then 14 or 15 days until the break I think we can anticipate he’s not going to be able prior to the all-star break Bulls coach Billy Donovan said and I didn’t think he was either when I saw him in the boot against Portland on Sunday night but now
Reports are coming out that it really does seem like it’s going to be closer to a month until we see Patrick Williams back on the court for the Chicago Bulls next thing we saw was the injury update last night during the Toronto Raptors game saying dalon Terry with his right
Ankle is out for the remainder of tonight’s game versus Toronto and after seeing him uh sustain that injury I didn’t think he would return with the trainers having to come on the court of course as well the next thing we saw in this article though was Williams absence leaves the Bulls without three
Rotational players line and reserve for Tory Craig are also injured and Craig is expected to return soon but a PA’s seconde for Dale and Terry will join them on the injury report Terry exited the Bulls 118 to 107 home loss to the Raptors on Tuesday with a right ankle
Injury he needed assistance to the locker room and left the unit Center using a knee scooter Terry was receiving postgame medical treatment at his locker and was not available to reporters the absences have crippled the Bulls as the deadline approaches not exactly the news you want to hear
About a young guy who has been playing very solid as of late in dalen Terry although Julian Phillips last two games have been very good maybe he can get some more burn with d and Terry out the lineup but I never like to see any player going down with an injury
Especially a young one with a brave future ahead of him next thing we saw on this was the her her for us quite honestly is the fact that we’ve had injuries to some guys Donovan said Sunday in Portland you could sit there and say yeah with Patrick out and Tory
Being out it’d be nice right now to have a bigger forward we need a forward that would be something you’d want to do but it’s injuries it has forced Donovan to play Caruso for more minutes than our ideal kuso’s averaged 31 minutes in his past dozen games and he’s averaging 26
This season and just 22 for his career Caruso’s high energy style makes him more susceptible to bumps and bruises as well and that’s true I mean we’ve seen Caruso diving for loose balls and is scary every single time he isn’t getting any younger I’m not saying he’s very old
But at around 30 years of age he definitely isn’t getting any younger in this league and those bumps and bruises are what ended Larry Bird’s career and I’m not comparing the two besides the fact that their hustle is towards the top of the ladder as high as it can
Possibly be which causes a lot of strain and stress on your body over time for sure next thing we saw in this article was I don’t love it personally just for him Donovan said the Situation’s presented itself where quite honestly whether it be Alex or dear or Kobe white
Some of the minutes have gone way up and we’ll need some of her younger guys to take advantage of the opportunity but a really sweet spot for Alex is about 26 to 28 minutes rookie Ford Julian Phillips and Terry in his 8 minutes before exiting assembled a handful of
Plays that showed progress both slithered into the painted area and finished acrobatic layups in traffic after a season High 11 points in Sunday’s win against the Portland Trailblazers Philips scored nine points in 20 minutes off the bench he made two of three three-pointers continuing to demonstrate improv shooting mechanics
And Confidence from the perimeter and that’s really what he shown uh me as of late I didn’t think Julian Phillips was really going to develop into much as early on in limited amount of time he didn’t look like he even belonged on an NBA floor and looked like he really
Needed to be sent to the G League they have really pressed that they want to keep him up on this team and believe in his potential and it has shown that Billy Donovan’s going to done a good job playing him in the right spots and has really helped his and Dal and Terry’s
Growth this season props off to Billy Donovan the coaching staff as of late as I thought they’ve done a really good job with the minutes and balancing them out with the injuries in the lineup and helping those guys grow in the absence of other stars the last thing we saw in
This article was it sucks to keep losing guys especially guys like Patrick and dalen guys who’ve been playing well for us lately vich said dalen finally started getting some minutes and started making the best out of it vich said the team’s goal remains try to get us as
Many wins as we can he said we’re trying to catch other teams in front of us but also we have the teams behind us like Atlanta Brooklyn they’re right there so we have to make sure we don’t lose any grounded teams in front of us and not
Let the teams behind us catch us we have to dig it through it and find a way to play the best we can with what we have and try to finish strong and that’s exactly the mindset they need to have they need to know who’s in front and
Behind them and within a game or two uh between and even a couple of games behind you they can catch up if you go a losing skid it’s good to see Vu has that mindset and he spoke like a true veteran and leader so far the season in every
Interview I’ve seen him in I’ve been really impressed with his Poise and those but as we go forward with the bulls and lots of injuries hopefully some of the younger guys and some guys that don’t get as much burn can come in place instead of having some of the
Starters play far too many minutes and run them to the ground I still want the Bulls to try to make a push for the playoffs if they aren’t going to make any moves or really start to rebuild because they’re in a situation right now this season that it would make the most
Sense to at least make a chance at it if you’re in a current playin or playoff spot which they are now that is just my take and I want to hear from all you guys at home what you have to say so make sure to leave that down in the

Im soo tired of pwill
Bro with all do respect you crazy for thinking the bulls will make a push for a playoffs spot
This guy is naturally delusional
Would like to see Derozan get a shot on a contending team. Not sure who that could be tho
Send DeRozan to the Lakers for AD
I feel like the Bulls conundrum revolves around DeMars impending free agency status. If they want to re-sign him with a smaller contract, they will need to retain the core. If they dont want to retain him, they need to extend PWi ll and trade for some picks.
I personally am not gonna put my faith into Coby White. He is at best, the 2nd option for a tanking team. Or 3rd option for a contending team.
Keep Pwill out for 2 months, let see what this kid JPhilips do.
Get rid of the front office.
