We, the die-hard Bear fans, are tired of waiting to be competitive. If Caleb is willing to air behind fields and learn, draft him, if not, pick up weapons we need to win now.
Trade picks with Wash and throw Sam Howell in the deal (along with whatever else the Bears can get). He looked good in his 2nd year with only 1 game under his belt from year 1. Have a real QB comp in Chicago.

You’re a fucking crazy if you think they can win eight or nine games just because they draft Caleb Williams… And you think that in his first year in the NFL he’s going to be really good… Why? Look, I like Sean Payton, but he didn’t know that Patrick Mahomes was going to be this good, did you know Drew Brees was going to be this good, did he know Tom Brady was going to be great? He can say all he wants about Caleb Williams but until he proves it in the NFL He’s just guessing like everybody else… That’s not enough of a reason to get rid of Justin Fields just because Sean Payton likes him more than other quarterbacks… God forbid he’s wrong… They ever admitted? Do any of these draft “experts“ admit when they made a mistake? Never… So who cares what he thinks… I know what we have with Justin Fields and I’m thrilled, I want him in Chicago he’s the right guy, has the right character and work ethic and he’s a tough guywho has the right mentality to be a Chicago bear. Caleb Williams can stay in Los Angeles or wherever he feels at home…
He seen three or four games? Remember the Pac 12 is not exactly a division of great defense… At least Bryce Young played against better teams… Also Caleb Williams is a scrambler which means the defense has to pay attention to him that leaves receivers open… They tried to contain him knowing he’s going to run around and scramble, so guys get open does he make a lot of tight window throws? No… Has he made anythinglook so easy as Justin Field does? No… Justin Fields has made some spectacular throws and runs in the NFL, not in college… That’s a huge difference because he’s going against grown ass men… Not college kids
He didn’t see the same thing in Brock Purdy, he didn’t see the same thing and a lot of the quarterbacks that got better after their third and fourth season… It takes time… A lot of people thought Bryce Young was going to be Great his first time out… So even though I respect him, he doesn’t know what’s going to happen until he gets the NFL… And perhaps all that scrambling is going to get him injured a lot sooner

Do you know who else is a generational talent? Justin Fields, Patrick Mahomes, oh what about Tom Brady? Now nobody thought he was going to be the goat, what about Joe Montana? Nobody thought he was going to be that good, same thing with Steve Young, Did people think Lamar Jackson, Jalen hurts or Josh Allen would get better and better at their third and fourth season? Nope… And yet they did… So it also depends on his situation… If you put Caleb Williams on a young and less town to team that is rebuilding… Believe me, he’s not gonna be so special… But if he goes through the wright team in a great situation sure, he’s got a better opportunity to start winning sooner… But it’s not gonna be as easy as you think since he’s going against bigger, faster and smarter players who know exactly How things will go for him his first year… Eventually he could be a special player, but we already know Justin Fields has the ability to be a special player… Right now! Because we’ve all seen it but what really bothers me is that you guys have forgotten all about it, you forgot how good he can be, you don’t seem to remember all the good shit you only seem to remember all the negative stuff which was mostly not his fault anyway… How many dropped passes, how many poor routes, how many guys who didn’t get open, how many times did they get sacked because the protection broke down too soon… Justin is not a perfect quarterback by any means, he still needs to learn he still needs to get better… His is way higher than most of these guys coming from college. So don’t forget about that you’re not cases and remember all the good stuff not the negativity… Because it’s fucking annoying as hell. Look at Celebs wins the past 3 years against top 25 teams. Celeb is 4-9 against top 25 teams in college. This is the NFL not college. Fields had Nagy his first year and Poles tore the team down year 2. This is Fields first year where they started putting pieces around Fields. Poles couldn’t do it all in 1 year. Keep building around Fields and pass on a so called generation talent and trade the pick for a generational haul. Why would Poles take a QB that cries in his mothers bosoms

I don’t see Williams being the generational talent that a lot of people are thinking. A good player but not generational. Tom Brady was generational. Patrick Mahomes looks generational. Others that look more generational than Williams now are Burrow, Herbert, Jackson and Stroud. He’s more like an Allen or Hurts or a Murray or Baker. Maybe a Lawerence or Justin Fields. Not generational. We’ll see if he can prove me and others wrong.

Caleb Williams is working out at the QB collective in LA. Go look at the coaches they list on the first page as associated with their program; Shane Waldron is one of them. Do you think those guys aren't talking Shane up to him? Caleb wouldn't go to a school that teaches the Shannahan/McVay system to play NFL QB if he didn't want to come here. Justin Fields is tougher than most quarterbacks in this league. The young man took a lot of abuse with a soft offensive line for protection. He's been through the trenches of bad coaching, a talent stripped team in the midst of a rebuild, and lack of offensive weapons. But he's not a good quarterback? You can't win with him? You clowns are pitiful. And what's insane is these are the same individuals who were ecstatic when we drafted for Fields. What a bunch of switch-a-roos! If I was Caleb I wouldn't want to play for Chicago either. They have no loyalty or decency to build around their young quarterback ( I hope that isn't the case with Poles). If the quarterback struggles, they will forget all of the important deficiencies he has around him. Put him in a non conducive environment to grow and then blame him for the organization lack of success. Just pitiful!
