The breakdown of the trade is DeRozan for 40 mil of expiring salaries and a second round pick. This can also potentially be beneficial for lavines future value as we all know the two of them can’t co-exist, so trading demar and plugging zach into the lineup in his place and him playing good to end the year could hopefully at least raise his value from negative to neutral going into the off-season.
AC gets 2 frp due to his bargain of a contract for an all-defense first team player.
Carter gets added in because 1. He’s way more useful on a team with a player that draws a lot of attention (like bucks last year with giannis) giving him space and time to get his shot off but also 2. I know that those 2 firsts would have the potential to br pretty good but I’d be pretty bummed if that’s all they were able to fetch for DeMar and AC. Feels at least one asset short
