Playing playing within a game um we started out well so that’s really the main thing to that we started out well the ball was Finding finding the open hand and we was making shots today as a whole everybody’s making shots so it’s a good thing for us it’s a good thing that

We finally started off well I mean we’ve been starting off well these past few games but you know today was a good another good start so we just want to keep it up obviously for you you and you and Mel just kind of been on the same page

Together scoring wise but for you in that third quarter I guess what did you see that was kind of just working for you just getting 21 that period oh yeah um just having it going um coach was just saying you know run the angle pick and roll to see how they’ll guard my

Pick and roll you know at first they had a big and drop coverage so I was getting downhill mid mid-ranges and layups then they went to the um you know the switching defense with the small with their small guys so you know I was scoring on that too so it was just you

Know I had a rhythm going to start the third and you know we we kept riding the high hand so that’s really what happened in the third quarter is there kind of like a a I don’t know if it’s a chemistry or something where you and Mel

Starting to feel each other out to say okay who’s kind of you know feeling it or who’s kind of roll because he had 17 in the first half you have the big third player are you guys just kind of like sensing the chemistry when the others

Kind of cooking a little bit yeah for sure um uh just playing off each other that’s all just playing off each other reading the game making the right plays um no matter who’s got to go and just read the game make the right play and the ball find you so that’s really all

It is to we’re just playing off each other you know really well so we just want to keep it up and keep it going until Allstar break so let’s keep it up K you’re around you’re at like 27 points on 50 4090 over your last eight games

Assist numbers are up and all that is there anything about your offensive game this season in terms of your development that sticks out to you when when you’re assessing these performances n just uh just making the right plays so that’s all I try to pride myself on whether

Just shooting they making a right play u most teams are being aggressive trapping my screens or just trying to be aggressive get the ball out my hand so more more likely times is a double team so somebody has a open shot you know the guys knock it down I get the assist for

It so it’s just just reading the game reading how the team is going to start the game out on me so honestly it’s just making better reads in the game so and that comes with experience from playing so that’s to maintain to that was there a momentary sequence tonight when you

Could see Ben whether it was him passing the ball or doing whatever and you just kind of felt like he was back and I guess what does that add to this offense that’s already starting to collect a little bit yeah as I said before uh you know when he’s playing we’re

Faster uh transition points the pace of play is uh much higher um cuz you know he pushes the ball makes or Miss no matter the team makes a shot or miss a shot he’s pushing the ball and getting his good looks early in the shot clock so it gives us more opportunities for

More possessions and stuff like that so you know obviously you know he’s still figuring his way back his second game back but you know Ben is doing Ben so we just you know happy that he’s back playing we just want to you know keep it

Going cam when you look at you know with the way that you’ve been playing this season and now you’re seeing opposing teams such as the Sixers tonight with the way they’re tra you or throwing different coverages at you how does how does that make you feel knowing that now

You’re pretty much showing up every team scotting report I mean yeah I feel I’ve been showing up early early in the season um just because the hot star I feel like I’ve been showing up all year but I feel like they’re taking more of attention to it

By trapping me you know getting me the Trap coverage um not letting me you know when I get a ice so they’re coming to trap so not really get the one-on-one matchups like I used to get early in the year so I feel like that’s that’s

Probably the main thing to it but I feel like I always been on the scy report far as you know how well I can score and how well I can turn the game around but I feel like the main thing is just they’re not letting me me get to the iso as much

When I got the mismatch so that’s probably all it is to that so you know what happens with that you make the right read whether it’s the lob to Nick or a wide them three to our Shooters so just playing the right way and reading the game what you just think of Nick

Tonight you know 13 rebounds in the first half um what did you think of just his tenacity on BL it’s great um it’s great we need Nick play that every night you know small team we’re small so you know whenever he’s rebounding like that

You know it helps us cuz we get out and run you know he can dribble up push it and get us shots he can get us shots as well so you know when he’s playing like that playing with that energy you know I feel like we’re hard to beat so it’s

Just you know we got to keep it going and you know good thing you know Nick’s playing the way he is cuz you know we need him sure Ben didn’t take a shot didn’t score but still had the impact that he did when you see a player like

That obviously you’ve been around Ben now but when you see a player have an impact like that what does it say just about how much he can affect the game without even taking a shot or scoring a point yeah um it’s good good it’s good cuz you know Ben is technically our

Point guard in that second unit so he pushes it he gets us in our offense you know sets guys up for good shots um you know he get the rebound push it um guard the bigger guys so it’s really a big help for us in that second unit you know

With day Ron being out we need more sides in the second unit so for him to be able to you know to bring that energy and bring the ability to you know to bring the big out when he is dribbling cuz you know they bring the big out and

He can you know do a little drop behind the screens get us get us guards open shot so it’s good to have good to have him back in his impact so you know we just gotta keep going you when you look across the court at a guy like Tyrese

Max he was a couple years older than you making his first All-Star appearance this season does that add any added motivation in a matchup like this no not really I’m just um I’m not at all actually I’m just playing my game you know hopefully my time will come but I
