According to Stein the Hornets want Green in exchange for PJ Washington.

  1. I’m okay with this if we can get Nick Richards as well

No, thank you. Green looked pretty good since coming back from injury. Dude just turned 23, shoots 40 percent from three with decent defense. Seems to be a good kid as well. Don’t trade him, if it’s not for someone, who improves the roster substantially. PJ is ok, but not the guy you trade Green for. At least imo.

  3. Of course they do. PJ is not even starting on a tanking team.

I don’t understand y’all’s obsessions with PJ. Average or below in all statistical categories. The idea of PJ is more intriguing than the actual PJ.

Think the dream deadline from the existing landscape would be the Mavs pulling off a combo and landing both Kuzma and PJ. Josh for PJ clean swap ideally, and then FRP and salary for Kuzma.

This subs infatuation with PJ is hilarious. Dude is ass and Josh has been playing much better recently.

Unless PJ plays at a significantly higher level than he has been this year this trade isn’t that much of an upgrade. I would rather involve Green in a bigger trade than just getting PJ. If you add Nick Richards in then maybe.

The money doesn’t line up for a perfect swap. If we could attach Holmes or Maxi along with Josh for PJ I think that’s a net positive.

Green is not solving any of our problems and at times his inconsistency hurts the team. It’s a no brainer

I had a dream that I woke up to a Woj bomb of us getting Markkanen, and it was a good dream. So this is me manifesting that.

Not worth it, Hardy I trade immediately for him.

This seems lateral to me unless we could offload a “bad contract” too. Still doesn’t fix all our issues Also puts a lot of pressure on exum to stay healthy the ROY

I think the idea for PJ was he’d be cheaper than Kuzma or Avdija, but Green is too high of a price imo. Granted, I’ve been a Josh defender all season

  13. If the goal is make the team worst is a good trade.

This is actually kind of a tough one. We need the size and defense against larger forwards, but we’d give up some shooting efficiency in return. This could work out well for us and give us the extra defense we need in close games, or it could be like having 2 Grant Williams’ out there during one of his bad shooting nights. If it’s Josh + Holmes then it’s a no for me – but I think it’d have to be that from a salary standpoint alone. I think right now I’d say no but it’s a way closer call than most people in here are making it

Problems = Coaching, taking risks on risky players (and realizing the risk instead of the reward); possible solution = New coach, building patiently through draft and sensible signings, developing young players, not trading draft picks unless the player coming back is a sure fire, historically dependable upgrade. Unfortunately we toggled to Win Now mode in Lukas rookie year for some reason. If we had just slow played it a few years, we’d be in a much better position.

i’ve soured on pj but i’m also not the biggest fan of green like a lot of people are here.
