Giddey was amazing tonight. But the fact that there’s “apologize” and victory laps thread whenever he has a good game just shows you how far the bar has fallen from him.
Games like this were much more frequent last year and even the year before. Making threads like this is just proving the point of the “haters”

Giddey haters don’t get this team. Yes, SGA is the star on the team but you see other players really lift in certain games and at crucial moments – whether it be to adjust to the opposition, just the player stepping up, etc. This can be Chet, JDub, Dort, Wiggins, Giddey, etc.

He had been bad last many games and play well once only in this second half.
Trading him away is good for him so he can play in a way that he’s comfortable in.

I never stopped believing. He looked great tonight and without him we would have lost this game, no question. That pass to Wiggins for the tie in regulation was crazy. I turned to my girlfriend and said, “he’s the best in the league at these kinds of passes. watch this.” And then he backed it up. What a great moment. What a great game. Man I’m so happy to be a Thunder fan.

I apologise josh. Ive seen you play during the tank days and you were very impressive especially in the play in game. Ive even defended you this season when i mentioned your shooting %s were up but the haters got to me and i actually believed them. Hope you are here for a long time and i will never question you again.
My goodness. I am glad I missed out on all this craziness. Giddey plays a semi decent game on offense in the second half (for Giddey anyway) and people forget that he has played bad all year.
In fairness Giddey was a sieve on defense today and I don’t view that as good, but whatever.
Don’t you guys think an apology thread is a bit dramatic and much? No one has stolen your lunch money or anything. They just have a different opinion than you.
I have never seen such craziness in support over a not very good player. Usually people agree to disagree and respect each other’s opinions.
Giddey did play BETTER today than he has. He’s just not very good as a general rule. One game doesn’t change that, no matter how you view the game.
Everyone needs to take a step back and relax. Just because someone has a different opinion than you does not make them your enemy.
I still truly believe we needs to trade Giddey and that he sucks but I am truly glad that he was finally able to contribute a little bit for once for the win.

As a side note, once Giddey is traded this place is likely to be a much more civil place to be. These Giddey supporters are not able to handle any sort or criticism of him and I’ve never seen anything like it. They can be so hateful and mean spirited simply because you don’t bow down to their hero. It’s insane.
