I understand coaches are in the win now mode, but I’m not. I want to grow the kids.

Once again, it’s only The Athletic pushing this simply from a Kelly Iko article that also managed to overlook that we’d make a trade for a big to compete in the NEXT season. I’ll wait until it happens (that is, if it actually does) to believe it. As of right now, I don’t think I’ve ever been tired of a non-story as much as this. The Nets FO doesn’t deserve a free pass and should suffer with every loss they get this season as it helps us.

I’m watching us lose games this season because we don’t have competent shooters and/or inexperience from the youth. How does Mikal Bridges of all players move the needle? Yesterday’s game showed me that one player isn’t enough. If you haven’t embraced that this is a development season with at most a play-in spot, I got nothing for you lol

Biggest mistake they could make. If trade green, move him for someone who moves the needle. Bridges doesn’t do that. When you panic is when people make mistakes

Just media trying to throw a dart and get attention. It makes no sense to give the nets all their shit back and Jalen green for bridges. He doesn’t move the needle enough. Not even close really. You only break that up for a YOUNG STAR and there are none I see available.

Does Amick have some inside info about Udoka and Jalen?

  6. Completely ignoring the Rockets side of it, if we actually had Jalen + all Nets picks on the table and the Nets didn’t take that, I think they’d be incredibly stupid. That’s an overpay on our part. Nets fans love to clamor to that report that someone offered 4 firsts for Mikal, but the chances that was 4 unprotected picks are very slim and I’d be surprised if the price was the exact same this season, and beyond that getting their *own* picks back should be a huge bonus for the flexibility it gives them.

But to the Rockets side, I also think we’d be stupid to give that offer. I’m actually against the grain of most the sub, I think I’d definitely listen to a Jalen for Mikal swap, but fair value to me would be way closer to either just the Nets picks back (keeping Jalen), or Jalen + the ’24 1st + minor assets. I really like Bridges and love the idea of his fit on this team but he’s not worth giving up the full hand of cards for

If Mikhail was doing what he’s doing and was in his age 24ish season, I’m all for it. He IS better than Jalen at the moment. However, this is his absolute apex likely. And for that reason *dramatic pause* I’m out.
