Wiggins to Indy?

Sooo according to Shams we are showing interest in Wiggins. Who do you think is gone? Hield obviously.

Wiggins would be an interesting fit. Definitely would be a buy low you’d think, just not sure how I feel about his contract. If he could get back to what he was like in between 2019-2021 seasons it’d be awesome

    Please no

We have a young roster bristling with talent who need the minutes and opportunities that Wiggins would take.

I am sure he is a nice fella who saves deaf orphaned puppies from house fires on the weekends but I do not see a reason to trade for him regardless of how much of a “buy low” that it is.

3 years with $85 million due, after this season. That’s gonna be a no from me dawg.

It’s hard to understate how bad Wiggins has been for like the past year and a half.

He’s the 5th worst in the league for VORP and BPM, 14th worst for WS/48, shooting 31% from three and has a true shooting percentage of 0.516.

He’s been really bad, plus he’s owed $26-$30 mil a year through 2027.

    Keep him away.

Not a fan of that at all. Nesmith has been killing it and deserves the starting 3 spot. Wiggins contract is huge. This just makes no sense and is hopefully not true.

HELLLLLL NAHHHHH keep that boy in GS matter of fact why dont you send him to the good fellas over at detroit theyll take good care of my guy

  7. CommonerChaos

Absolutely not. Man’s played for the huge contract and has been terrible ever since.

  8. Accomplished-Dog2785

Whether true or false… trust in KP

  9. shastmak4

I pray they don’t do no dumb ass shit like this

  10. New_Essay_4869

As long as he doesnt start over Nesmith

I used to love Wiggins game. Not sure what happened but Golden State would trade him for a bag of peanuts to unload that contract. He’s a big part of Golden States problem.

Edit: just read at some point he slammed his own finger in a car door. Maybe he messed something up then?

  12. My man would miss an ocean with a ball these days… sucks to see how much he has declined. He’s hitting career low numbers across the board during prime years.

Hope he figures it out, especially if his poor play is tied to personal/family issues. But yea, let him do that somewhere other than Indy.

  13. WooPigEsquire

Why? He’s not good with a huge contract. Makes zero sense.

Guys, KP and Chad know what they’re doing. Even if this report is accurate, I’m willing to see where it gets us. That said, would I make this move? Hard no.

  15. bhorgicon

dude has all the tools to be a total stud, but i would only want him on the cheap to take the chance that we can unlock him…

  16. WooPigEsquire

We can’t break the streak of no number one pick ever playing for Indy for Wiggins…

  17. Playful-Goat-2441

    wut

not even Wiggins would trade for Wiggins

  18. AdCreepy9825

I would be totally against it based on his play of late and contract situation.

My only couple thoughts were is it possible that he personally is just not happy in Golden state and that has affected his play, we have seen this in the past with other players, magically turning it up a notch after being traded?

He seems like the kind of guy who would prefer less media attention and Golden state is not that place. Also maybe the constant drama of that team has weighed on him?

Also as a side note he might have some connection with Mathurin and Nembhard being a fellow Canadian.

Not saying I would do the trade, but it certainly would be funny to see him land elsewhere and go back to being that fringe all star kind of guy.

  19. AdCreepy9825

Also barring a 3rd team it would have to be Buddy + Jalen/Obi

I don’t see it getting done any other way?

  20. thefonz22

His anti Vaxx stance makes me say please no.

  21. Gethsamane

Don’t put that evil on me Kevin Pritchard

  22. Lasvious

Yuck. Are they giving us assets to take him? It’s a negative contract.

  23. Key-Contribution8620

He’s awesome! And has won a championship. Would be a great signing imo.

  24. AdCreepy9825

Also if we did make this trade does that mean Nesmith slides to the starting 2 guard and Wiggins starts at the 3?

There’s no way I’m moving Nesmith to the bench. He has been too good.

  25. WitnessGreatness10

    He’s only 28.

I’d take a chance on him. Pacers are still a star away from contending at the very least. Obviously you would want someone like Paul George but Wiggins would be like a buy low opportunity and hope he gets the offense going in new system/team
