Fact that the Atlanta Hawks have up in front told many teams that they’re about 5050 when it comes to actually trading dejon Murray now admittedly he was at one point considered to be a premier hub for offensive abilities alongside Trey young as they both averaged double doubles and where the top two leaders

And assists in the league all those few seasons ago but since adding Deonte Murray to their fold they have not been able to take the proper steps to take that next step forward as a team the biggest concern being now what they should do considering the fact that

There’s so much money invested into this dynamic duo obviously they’re not going to give up Trey young because he is the person that has more of a foothold and has become a staple of Atlanta culture which leaves Deonte Murray on the outs a little bit with that being said Deonte

Murray has really upped his play over the past game since his name got thrown into hats to see where he was going to end up going and he’s effectively kind of boosted his trade value showing other teams exactly what he can do now one could also argue he played his way out

Their demands are met the Atlanta Hawks are willing to trade him but they’re also not extremely pressed to trade the man which understandably so he has really stepped up his play recently and overall he hasn’t been the most abysmal player on the roster this season so far Jonathan Murray’s averaging 21.5 points

5.1 rebounds and 5.2 assists to go along with shooting splits of 4 6.8% from the field and 36.8% from three-point range now those are respectable numbers and obviously the percentages could be a little bit better but all things considered he’s been doing a pretty bang up job more recently he’s been really

Showing out and that has been the thing that really pushed his trade value forward now the Atlanta Hawks set his value at a starting caliber piece alongside two first round picks now there’s a lot of teams that might benefit from having dejonte maray on their roster but a lot of them aren’t

Willing to go ahead and make that move move just yet with that being said the only teams that have officially reached out were the Lakers in the Utah Jazz now allegedly there’s been 10 teams that have made phone calls but of course Mark Stein found this to be a little bit

Unfounded and quite honestly hasn’t found even close to that many teams that might have been gauging interest to figure out if they wanted to go ahead and try and make a play at him now the key thing to worry about when you’re looking at this situation if the Lakers

Situation has kind of stymied out and things aren’t looking very good as they’ve been sat at a standstill because of the trade that they offered initially now it’s time for the Utah Jazz to really make that play now they could try and convince them because the Utah Jazz

Are one of the few teams that have a substantial amount of draft capital and they are looked at to be buyers and sellers in the Market at this trade deadline with that being said there’s also a Marriot of other teams that also have a little bit to say here and there

But the Utah Jazz seem to be the team that really has the need for Deon tamaray on the roster if you’re a fan of the channel or you’ve been paying attention to Utah Jazz basketball you’ll understand that Colin seon finally got a start and alongside Chris Dunn he’s really flourished obviously Larry

Marinan has been the Hub of the offense for the most part but he’s more of an individual shot selector and he needs a table set for him adding a point guard to the fold that can both set the table play great defense and also shot create

Is what the Utah Jazz need to bridge the gap until Kon George is ready now Keon George has the issues that many rookie point guards have where they love to shoot the ball they might even take good shots but those shots don’t always fall right now he’s averaging 11 points to

2.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists now with that he’s also averaging two turnovers a game which isn’t exactly ideal but it is understandable considering he’s a rookie he also on 9.1 shot attempts averages 37.8% shooting from the field and on 5.1 shot attempts averages 32.3% for the three-point line so not great all around

But he does show flashes every now and then of the player that he could potentially be in the future for this team with that being said you need a point guard right now that can allow them to convey the proper draft picks to the proper teams over these next couple

Seasons and also continue to build them as they’ve come out and been a more competitive team than most analysts believe them to have been capable of doing with that being said their starting guard Duo is Chris nun and Colin ston Colin ston being a phenomenal scorer who has been very consistent in

All of his starts with the exception of one recent one where he shot one of 10 which was quite the anomaly for him but he’s also cut down on turnovers increas his assist total significantly actually posting a career high 13 assists in a very recent game and also alongside

Chris Dunn who has been the spearhead of defense for this team but only plays roughly 17 to 19 minutes a night with that being said he’s also not much of a scorer but understands that his job and role as a not extremely efficient or go-getter as an offensive shot Creator

He’s more of a table setting point guard as a Mike cley was back when he was with Utah now this is important because he shows them everything that they need out of a point guard with the exception of that efficient scoring that con sexon has whoever the Utah Jazz decide to make

A trade for is ultimately going to have to be for a lankier wing at the guard spot because you can’t have a situation where you have a short Duo backourt where Colin seon is going to try on defense but physically is going to be a liability because there’s only so much

He can do at the height of 6’2 there’s going to be a point in situation where he’s just being outdone we saw recently at the beginning of season when they played the Clippers and Bones Highland was giving that man buckets after buckets after buckets despite conct and

Having a hand in his grill the entire time with that being said though Deonte Murray fits this billing for the Utah Jazz and I believe that if they can make a trade happen and if they’re willing to go ahead and give up a little bit of draft capital in favor of winning over

These next couple Seasons things could get very interesting I think because the Atlanta Hawks are more so 5050 though this is a trade that’s more so Fringe but if any team can get the job done I definitely trust the Utah J to do it before I trust the Los Angeles Lakers

Now the biggest takeaway for this situation with de Jon Murray is the fact that he seems to want to be that guy he feels like he’s a capable scorer he feels like he’s a capable Defender he feels like he’s still that boy and so I think he deserves that opportunity

Whether it be with the Atlanta Hawks to stay there or if he can be snagged Away by a team like the Utah Jazz that desperately needs what he has to offer now remember he might not be the best player on a championship caliber team but him alongside Colin seon alongside
