Unfortunately this will be the first year in 4 that I wont be doing the trade deadline megathread. However as a primer:

    – Tyus Jones is stylistically close to Conley and the Wolves have held talks with the Wizards for him. Tre Jones also an alternative

    – Monte Morris is a fave of Connelly. They have held talks with Detroit and previously tried to get him last year

    – Schroder and Lowry have also been on the radar

    – Alec Burks, Dennis Smith Jr, Royce O’Neale, Bones Hyland and Delon Wright are all options if the Wolves go for scoring over playmaking (Wolves went for Bones last year and iirc Wolfson said we made a larger offer than LAC)

    – Jon expects the Wolves to make a run at McDermott or Hayward if they are bought out – Wolves could be legitimate option in buyout market

    – Do not expect Kyle Anderson to be moved

It does seem like 2 separate types of player focused. A playmaker and a scorer. Although the scorer could be a guard or a 3. Bones, Jones, Wright and Morris have been brought up since the Gupta year as trade targets. Maybe Connelly finally gets one of his men?

i’ll continue to be stunned if kyle gets moved. he’s too critical to the identity of the team, shooting be damned. leader in the locker room too

Looking like it will pry be a small move for a PG and hopefully a shooter/scorer in the buyout market

Tre, Dennis, Tyus or Monte, I’m good with either one. Please just don’t add another 30+ year old we’ll have to get rid of next year…

    > Despite having Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns, two dynamic scorers, in the starting lineup, the Wolves are ranked 19th in the league in offensive rating (114.1). The ranking plummets to 27th (110.2) in the fourth quarter. It is the number that keeps president of basketball operations Tim Connelly and coach Chris Finch up at night.

Uffda, that is rough. One of Ant or Towns needs to be “that dude” in the 4th quarter.

Tre Jones is shooting 27% from three this season, I don’t want another undersized PG who can’t shoot we already have JMac, give me Tyus Jones please…

I think this is the most nervous I’ve ever been at a trade deadline lol

Hard for me to understand how there’s still so many people who don’t want Slowmo traded. Eye test backs up the numbers… completely kills the offense and I don’t think his defense justifies it.

What I think will happen; 2025 2nd and Shake for Alec Burks.

What I want to happen; 2025 2nd for Monte Morris and sign Dougy McBuckets after a buyout

“Don’t expect Kyle to be moved” Lol yea our offense will continue to be piss poor in 2nd qtrs and at the start of the 4th smh. Also why is Lowry on the radar?? I’ll actually throw up if we get him

No doubt, Kyle has been horrendous on offense, but any benefits we realize in moving Kyle for better offense may be a net negative or neutral based on what we lose on defense. Kyle is pretty versatile on defense in that he can guard certain guys that are bad matchups for Jaden and KAT. For example, without Kyle, Ant may be our best matchup against Zion – this will lead to a direct impact on Ant’s offense. Not saying we don’t trade Kyle … just need to be aware that we made our bones this season as a defense first team and our defense may suffer.

Tre Jones is an interesting Jonny mentioned but I dont think Spurs would trade him. Schröder and a scorer like mcdermott or walker would be a great trade window for us.
