As many mistakes as the Rockets made and as heartbreaking the end was, at least it was an entertaining game. And being both down our 2nd best player and 6th man and a terrible road team, but keeping it close with a playoff team is honestly fine. Even if we used up all our good shooting for the next 10 games tonight.
… Is it possible to competitively tank into the top 4 and get our pick back?
Amen dialed it up at the end. His lack of shooting really hurts at times but the defense, hustle, rebounding, and IQ are great. Seemed like he had so many putbacks tonight. Good showing from him. Jalen Green made a bunch of tough shots, though I didn’t like the shot selection in the 4th even if it kept us in. Hard to believe that will continue with how inconsistent he is. Sengun’s defense was rough, not a great matchup with the speed and pace and having to play offense but he’s our best player and must be held to a high standard.
Offense was not the issue here. With how shots fell and the Pacers lack of D, I have a feeling we’ll be really missing FVV these next games. And the defense was rough. Lots of Pacers movements causing breakdowns and miscommunications, making us tired. Doesn’t help the Pacers were super hot shooting. Just a bad game on that front? No FVV and the higher pace causing us to focus more on offense, dragging us into the Pacers’ game? Remains to be seen.

Team played like DAWG in the 4th quarter. Amen Thompson is incredible, so much hussle. Remember we’re playing with a buncha 3rd year or less players, I’m ecstatic for the future of this team.

I think people need to start accepting that for all he does well Sengun is not gonna be a serious player on a title contender. You can’t win with a center this porous defensively
I dont know why people r so upset but against a good team which is better with siakam, and while FVV was out we played well. Yeah we could win and made too many small mistakes but still i like the team.
Want to see this team healthy maybe they can make another run.

Amen is so different than FVV, but I love watching him play. Hopefully he can improve his shooting a bit. Solid game for our dudes. We’re so fun to watch, even when we lose.

Udoka is braindead, man you only got one timeout left, you sub JG out for defense, but the defense still doesn’t work. Then you wasted the final timeout to put JG back. What are you doing?
Our bench couldnt keep up the pace. Almost all of our starters + tonight. Good game. Could have been a win.

Those kisses bunnies are such back breakers. They don’t seem like a huge deal in the moment but in theb4th Sengun and someone else (I think it was Cam) missed easy layups, after beating the defence, that’s 6 points we left on the table.

Tonight a 21U team (and one Canadian) almost beat the best offense in the league. I aint even mad, it was a good game.

Jalen Green will be a star. I have been saying this for the longest.
Our offense really sucked in the third quarter but a good showing for the team against a strong contender in the Eastern Conference. Hope the team bounces back brings it for the next game and is able to keep it going for most of the game
If there’s a team I detest more in the league it’s mostly and particularly the Houston Rockets in the 3rd quarter.
Aaron Holiday lost us that game. The second he checked into the third quarter he allowed Mconnel to get to the rim at will and create points and assists.
For someone that is supposed to be a defensive specialist he is awful on ball.
Without fvv, Rockets may get better results by playing the Jalen & Sengun game, it was quite good tonight.
I think Cam could have been used more rather than Holiday. Holiday was really bad all night.
Also, people wanting Sengun to be traded or blaming this result on Sengun need to wake up. I will admit that he was at average efficiency by his standards (still 20,10 and 6 with 1 to BTW) . However, the stretch where pacers got the lead to 14 was when he was sitting. Everybody needs to understand that without Sengun on the floor, The Rockets cannot create any offense.
This was a winnable game. A young, inexperienced team let it slip away. They’ll learn. They’re learning. This was an encouraging game.
Ime Udoka is ass when it comes to rotations.
Great game from the young guys. But what year is udoka stuck in? This is the same issue I have with people substituting and comparing green and cam. Don’t replace them with each other, play them off of each other.
