[Woj] Atlanta’s best return package for Murray might only include a good young player or expiring contract alongside one first-round pick. Atlanta is mulling over whether these types of returns even make sense to trade Murray before the deadline.

Basically it’s either we get him or they wait til the summer. At least we’ll know by tomorrow so we can move forward
Yeah this basically the “John Collins’ problem for them. Teams are smart not to give up multiple 1st round picks for a non/binge all star at this point. Especially his contract next year gonna be much harder to trade so good luck to them.
So, they overpaid for him and have to act like they’d rather keep him since they can’t recoup that value
I’m just going to mute everything until tomorrow
Because Hawks doesn’t want to sell.
Keep him in Atlanta, we don’t need/want him.
Clippers will come in with nothing in return and get him
3 years later – “Hawks looking to trade Murray”
The man don’t wanna be there just trade him already
Lol Goodluck to them if they decide to hold. His extension kicks in and becomes far less appealing to trade for as you have to match like 30m of salary
Only reason to ever have moved him at the deadline was to attach a contract imo they’ll never recoup the draft capital they lost. If your best return is an expiring and a 1st, you can probably get equal or better value in the summer when there’s more teams who are willing to make moves.
I’d love a back court duo of Reaves and Murray. 40$ mill for two starting guards who can put up good numbers and have good clutch genes is great salary work. But dear god this is getting annoying. Can something just happen already.
Can’t wait for the lazy “we should’ve traded for Murray, he would have led us all the way!” kneejerk posts after every loss this year. Sad thing is, you know some people in here already have them typed up in their head, just waiting to post.
Haha get ducked
Trades not happening, they have no incentive to trade him when he still has multiple years left
