You just paid money to a guy to watch a sub par product while wearing a jersey to fire a guy that really just takes orders from the guy you gave money to.
The irony isn’t lost on me. This is like the extorted business owners the mob targeted hating the low level gangsters doing the dirty work but loving the boss getting the kick backs because he handed out Turkeys on Christmas.

I’ll be honest, as much as they’ve frustrated me I have to remind myself their hands are completely tied. Jerry will never spend money and yet we still have the highest average attendance if I’m not mistaken.
I mean realistically, what can they do when they can’t replace Lonzo’s contract money, and now Lavine is out too? A competitive owner would probably allow some extra level of spending to offset the money lost to injuries but Jerry never will.
Sure in Lonzo’s case they probably hoped he would play 60ish games most seasons and have to nurse him through injuries to get to playoffs healthy. Instead his knee just stopped functioning.
You can probably fault them for renewing Zach though given his injury history…of course it was all working great when everyone was healthy…

Should have been fired 2 years ago, mistake after mistake. Meddling in mediocrity is so much fun for a big market and a “charter” franchise. At least Gar/Pax built 3 teams to contend. These guys are bums.

All in all It’s evident that the Bulls’ front office has fallen short in leveraging their assets effectively. Despite investing in players like Zach LaVine and picking up promising talents in Demar lonzo caruso., the team’s performance has plateaued since the lonzo injury . The lack of strategic moves at the trade deadline for two consecutive years is disappointing, especially when us fans hoped for a revamped roster. It’s crucial for the front office to reassess their approach and make bold decisions to propel the team forward.

Somehow with all the money and draft capital used to build this team, acquiring Alex Caruso was this regime’s best move lol
