Joe Mazzulla said Lamar Stevens is excited for his opportunity in Memphis and Mazzulla is happy for him. Stevens could get some serious minutes on a Grizzlies team that has been decimated by injuries. Mazzulla said Stevens was a professional who never missed a day.

As much as it’s good for Lamar to be around championship ball, I can’t imagine he’s pissed about going somewhere he immediately starts and auditions for a proper contract instead of rotting at the end of a bench

He was a pretty decent rotation player for Cleveland and I was surprised that he never even saw the floor here..
Kind of wish they traded Svi or Luke instead because I thought Stevens added some more depth, but they never gave him much minutes. I wish Stevens success with Memphis (at least for next year)! ☠️
