I’m honestly surprised I haven’t seen this comparison yet… Scottie v. Kobe (Years 1-3)

Probably because they’re nothing alike style-wise

Magic is a cliche comparison but a hybrid of Magic and Draymond is the best comparison in my eyes.

I still remember those OG and Kawhi stats comparisson 😂

First the Giannis one, now a Kobe one. I think if anything, all these posts are saying is “You can’t compare different players trajectories” To imply that Scottie is better right now than Giannis and Kobe were at their ages doesn’t really do much. I am sure there were a lot of players that were better than Kobe and Giannis in their third years that didn’t come close to their greatness.

That said… Scottie is a beast. He’s improved in every year… including that second year because he held the same stats, yet had more defences thrown at him. Plus teams then planned for him knowing what he was capable of.

I love Raptors fans because unlike Leafs & Jays fans they can hang their hat on these things & feel good.

Do Bruno Caboclo after he’s done being two years away from being two years away

Scottie has had a great start to his career, he has a loooong ways to go if he wants to be a top 10ish player in today’a nba let a lone any sort of all timer.

Kobe was on very little minutes, this is a more accurate comparison:

The per 36 minutes stats is 17pts in season 1, 21pts in season 2 and 18pts in season 3 for Kobe

The per 36 minutes stats for is 15pts in season 1, 15pts for season 2 and 20pts for season 3 for Scottie

“*Scottie Barnes* is gonna be all-star, he is gonna be the *face* of this *league*” – Darko Rajakovic

Is this going to be one a meme? Scottie compared to everything?

  14. Haven’t been around all that much lately. Am I missing some kind of joke with all these comparison posts? lol
