[Wojnarowski] “Few more deals have been discussed. One that didn’t get anywhere today, Kyle Kuzma & Dallas. DAL kept pecking away at him. That’s not going to happen. Michael Winger really values him in Washington. I don’t think they expected to be quite this bad this year with the Wizards.”


Wojnarowski continued:

>”[Dallas] is pivoting to P.J. Washington in Charlotte. Those teams talked today. They talked tonight. I think there’s still more conversation to be had tomorrow and I think that’s largely off of maybe draft compensation, what that might look like…So that’s one to watch tomorrow.”

    I really hope the rumor of Green + draft compensation isn’t true.

    I am afraid that we will do a panic trade. I really don’t want to trade Green for PJ, and I fear that we will do it and even add a pick.

    Stein said that Charlotte wanted Green and a FRP. Woj is saying that the conversation is going on “draft compensation”.

    Considering that both are reliable, we can infer that the Green-PJ swap is more or less agreed and the hurdle is the FRP. As much as I like the PJ-Grant PF rotation for the next years, we get a Maxi surplus (Maxi, that is ramping up his game rhythm and getting better) and, without Green, the only defensive guard we have is Exum. It would free up minutes for OMax, but I fear we will end up seeing a lot of Luka-Kyrie-THJ minutes, which will be a defensive nightmare and it would negate the defense PJ would bring.

    Not a fan.

    Not a fan at all. Don’t see him moving the needle for us. Better do nothing on PF and get a backup center instead. We won’t compete this season anyway.

    Frp for pj would be an unmitigated disaster

    Logic dictates it’s Grant for PJ swap, especially since Green is the only SF on the team. I doubt we swap out only SF just so we can collect three undersized PF and Maxi. DJJ has been used as a PF on the team.

    I think Stein or Fisher said Grant and Tim are the only players been discussed in trades.

    If it’s Green, then this FO would have turned Brunson, Luka, Green, Doe and often injured KP into Luka, often injured Kyrie and a bunch of below average players. And yet, we all keep calling Donnie a bad GM.

    Damn. Really like Kuzma. Washington just isn’t gonna do any deal without 2 firsts, which is too pricey, but they know that.

    Kuzma is inconsistent and a mediocre player that needs the ball in his hands. Getting him would’ve been a bad move.
