Get that guy away from our locker room

Hope the cash considerations are enough to buyout the trash and give Barlow a full contract.

They should verbally promise to buy him out by the deadline so he can join a contender, then wait till 1 day later.

Don’t ever want to see either twin in a Spurs uniform.

Don’t let him off easy. Don’t waive him and don’t let him onto the team. Let him sit in purgatory.

We get one roster spot free.

    Is that….. KILLIAN HAYES MUSIC???

(I hope we give Dom a contract)

Big “Yeah, well *we* don’t want *you*” energy here. And the petty part of me definitely appreciates it. We told this MF a 2029 2nd is more important to us than him.

So it’s Dougie for a second rounder.

    I’m ok with it.

While it feels like we should’ve gotten more for him, Doug has a reputation for lackluster defense. So for a contender, he’s a 9th man during the playoffs (when rotations usually shrink to about 8). The type of guy you throw out there for 5 minutes to see if he’s got it that night or not (e.g. what Bryn Forbes was for Milwaukee).

On top of that, it’s a Clipper’s second rounder in 2029, which is great for a couple reasons.

    1. Kawhi, who’s the youngest between him/PG/Harden/Brodie, will be 37 and there’s a good chance Clippers will suck so the pick will be in the 30s.

    2. By 2029, our team will be in contention, which is when we get the best use out of second rounders. That’s when we can bring guys along slowly and really horn in on their development. Right now, it’s hard to focus on the development of our end of bench guys when our starters are also developing.

And finally, that’s more minutes for Dom, Branham, and Champagnie.

Barlow has been a stud this year, so I don’t have to justify that one. With the open roster spot, we can sign him so we don’t have to deal with the limitations of the 2 way contract.

Branham hit that sophomore slump hard. But even though Blake has seem to overtake him in the rotation, he’s 20 and I don’t want to give up on him yet.

Champagnie looks clumsy. Like anytime he does something on the court that’s not a 3 point shot, he looks like he’s about to mess up. But as he gets older, stronger, and adjusts to the nba speed, I think he can be a pretty good role player.

This opens up a regular roster spot. It’s likely the Spurs either do something on the buyout market, or use it to convert one of their two-ways like Barlow into a regular contract.

Can anyone tell me the difference between waived and bought out?

Shooting comes at a premium and our premium is a second rounder. Cool..smh

hey, could somebody explain the whole situation with Marcus Morris? I’ve only began to watch
    NBA seriously this season.

Marcus Morris averaged 7/3, with a whopping 40% from 3 (don’t look at the number attempts), must be worth a late second to someone, right? Give him to the Jazz so they can waive Samanic lol.

nah dude let’s get this guy to the g-league
