Bucks NEEDED ENERGY! Tim Legler thinks Pat Bev will be a difference maker ๐Ÿ‘€ | The Woj Pod

What do you think about the the bucks filling that that hole Patrick it became so glaring to them okay the difference between Drew holiday at the point of attack right and the and the pressure he puts on when you come over half court his willingness to fight over screens

Right the way that he can switch on the bigger guys and use his strength to root him out of the post like all of those things add up and then when you bring in Damen Lillard who we kind of ignored a lot of that end of the floor when he was

In Portland because it was go get 35 that’s your job on this team now it’s like wow that’s a pretty big at that spot and I think obviously that became something that the Bucks knew you bring a Patrick Beverly now look this isn’t a Patrick Beverly of four or five years

Ago no that was irritating everybody that he played against okay but he still is impactful on that end he’s also just juice and energy he’s one of those guys a lot like Bobby poris who I always say this about Bobby poris and Milwaukee one basket out of him he’s worth 10 points

The way that the crowd reacts to him yes they’re going to react that way to Patrick Beverly he brings something to your locker room that’s going to matter that’s tangible that right now they need they need some toughness they need a guy to leave skin on the floor the young

Guys in Philly loved Pat Bev why did Philly do this here’s why they needed the three second round picks to get buddy heeled and so by trading Pat Beverly for one of those picks uh trading Jaden Springer to the Celtics for another second round pick and then

The hope that they can get a point guard in the buyout Market there’s a point guard in Charlotte named Kyle Lowry who may or may may or not have some ties to Philadelphia wait a second no W isn’t it guaranteed that any Nova guy has to end

Up in New York right they just lost one right hopefully that’s not going to be bad karma they’re down one Nova guy they’re down a Nova guy how many Nova guards can they have in New Y all of them well Philly might get one so I think there’s the hope that they could

Get him in a bio Market but they had to get a player like buddy hee who could come in uh you know give them you know certainly some scoring some offense in the interim here as they’re trying to hold it together and then when they hope

Uh Joel embiid comes back um what did you think of the Buddy heeled Edition well listen this this team is taking on water I mean I think 4 and 12 without Joel embiid here they needed they needed shooting um it’s kind of one of those hedge bets where they keep still keep

Their flexibility in the off season and you get you improve um as far as adding a shooter now the interesting with thing with and Tim can talk about this more is that buddy has struggled a little bit in Indiana of late and kind of lost his

Role they’ve used Ben more here but they needed shooting um you can put him with Tyrese Maxi I think the goal is that hopefully you get him be back and you’re not sitting it in the playing spot and that you still have something left and you lose some size you know Marcus

Morris you lose some size here um you make this move because you believe embiid’s coming back right because he’s yeah I don’t think you can send the message that you’re punting away the trade deadline I I think the the Sixers know there’s an inherent risk here that

Maybe they don’t get Joel MB back maybe they get back a Joel embiid who’s limited and not himself and they’re not good enough to win they understand that risk and I think they just feel they have a window with this player and it shrinks every time he goes into a

Surgical procedure every time he has an injury every time he runs up and down the court the window just gets a little smaller so they do take some risk here but they are hopeful that they can get him back that he’s going to be healthy enough they’ve got to just basically not

Try to take they’ve got to avoid taking on a lot of water while he’s out they it’s not just embiid who’s been out they’ve had other players out injured but they’re in a free fall right now can I take a look at this from the other perspective for a second Indiana because

They’re really interesting team to me I don’t think they’re that far away I really don’t and I thought buddy heeld would would Garner more value in return than he got that was a little bit surprising to me and what happened here I think Benedict Maan has made him

Expendable Benedict Maan is is is going is a better allaround player than buddy heeld he’s a better all-around scorer he his upside might be eventually maybe an All-Star even potentially and Ben Shepard they like a lot so they made him Expendable but I thought they’d get more

In return so you you lose the catch and shoot aspect they did just get Doug mcdermit to replace some of that and he hasn’t been playing a ton in San Antonio hasn’t done a lot maybe they have a bigger role for IND Indiana I just to

You guys I’m just asking you both why wasn’t buddy hee worth more than what Indiana got return and they tried for months they had been trying for months to get some value for him and just couldn’t get it you know you know why Tim because 11 teams are monopolizing

All first round picks 11 teams have 75% of the first round picks over the next seven years and it’s hard to come by those those contending teams don’t have the that draft assets anymore and you look at certainly like a team like Philadelphia who was restricted to trade

Out of first based on what they owe and then certainly had that Clipper one that they’re saving for maybe in in the offseason here it just becomes you know seconds or a little bit more valuable right now if you if you have him um at your disposal and he’s a free agent this

Summer so he’s a player that and I think if it was a team about what it was going to cost to resign him you know he had a pretty sizable extension on the table at one point in Indiana that may not be on the table for him this summer when he

  1. Pat Bev seems like the perfect role player to have on your team. And yet, this is his 9th team in 11 years. ๐Ÿค”

  2. The bucks need to cut their losses and fire doc. Heโ€™s already lost the locker room, and pat bev is his last attempt to get the locker room on his side. Bring Bud back. The organization should appreciate him a lot more now.

  3. Man, the Bucks are awful. They received a beatdown from Minny at home. They should fire that new coach they just hired. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I think Docโ€™s reputation is so bad, teams who want to tank can hire him and then blame him when they keep losing. Doc has now become the ultimate scapegoat since his playoff resume is labeled as a HISTORIC LOSER. The guyโ€™s team had 30 chances to eliminate a team and they failed to win every one of them.

The Bucks made a big mistake. They were the 2nd seed before they fired Griffin. Why make the coaching change by midseason when theyโ€™re a 2nd seed? So they fire Adrian and are now much worse with Doc! Itโ€™s boneheaded decision making. At least give Adrian a chance to finish the season. They were already halfway with him.

Stupidest decision. Bucks are done. I donโ€™t think Dame would fit Heat Culture either had he ended up there. Heat might be worse with him. He doesnโ€™t play defense and thatโ€™s a problem under Spo and Riles. Both Bucks and Sixers are done. While Cavs and Knicks are moving on up to replace them for 2nd and 3rd. I like the Knicksโ€™ chances again against Cleveland.

  4. Heโ€™s a difference makerโ€ฆ.. for like 3 months. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

  5. I love how all the media focuses on is Dame's defense vs. Holiday's. They all seem to skip over the fact that the Bucks also let go of J. Carter and G. Allen. They were hoping that 1 or 2 of the younger guys with Beasley would or could fill that hole. I don't think they are done, I expect them to be active and sign one or two players in the buyout market.
