Being down with major injuries and still being competitive is nice to see. And you can’t say “but it’s just the Hawks” cause we’re in a similar position overall as them. For a better-than-expected but still ultimately development year, can’t stress too much at this point and just look for development.

Besides the inefficient shooting and 3 settling, Jalen looked nice with the rebounding and passing. Jabari also inefficient but was really good defensively. Aaron Holiday is a good shooter and can play well within his role. Williams can at least get a bucket in spot minutes.

Edit: Amen has great D and hustle and is learning with major minutes as a rookie. Jeff Green shot well tonight. Players like Tate and Landale were not useless tonight despite the vitriol they often get, but are still very much meh role players.

Roster issues very much need to be worked on. And with our young core still needing to figure things out, I would prefer this offseason for building supporting pieces and worry about the Core 6 next year. Gotta give them time, through the highs and lows, in the new system. Including Ime, who I hope is learning a lot as things go.

Let’s see what post-ASB brings in terms of changes in how we play.

  2. 13/43 from three and Jabari and DB go 9/34. No chance of winning with such an inept offense.

Just so bad. Honestly reminds me Silas with some of the very questionable decisions and plays in the end. Losing mentality is coming back

We are getting used to midness.
Keep losing but “how about those dunks!?”
“At least Jalen got a TD”
    Tough times ahead

This was always going to be a tough tough game From Canada to Atlanta on the 2nd half of a b2b, with half your guys injured but damn what an effort from Green if only he can sort his 3 point shooting out and he can still make it here

  6. IllustriousLie8510

Id rather lose by 20 than experience these fake comebacks that lead me on

  7. Our comebacks are so fake it’s on sale in a Chinese fake market.

  8. omgwtfisthisplace

Should have given Jock more mins, 9 boards in 12 mins.

  9. jmart1242

Too many injuries. Could’ve won that with Cam and Sengun. Shoutout to Holiday with a great game.

  10. KDs_FakeAccount

Build around Jalen (and Cam)! More shooting and lob threat is all we need

  11. BigTonyEnergy

On one hand I’m falling out of love with basketball, on the other we only 2 games behind Jazz for the 10th seed. We just need out full squad back and we’ll go on a run at some point.

  12. AdmirableRise3758

Even my ex didnt blue ball me as much as the rockets have been this season

  13. Acceptable_Ganache51

Why does it feel like losing culture is creeping back in

  14. WuziMuzik

Really feeling all the injuries tonight, but despite everything. This game was still better than than their last one against the hawks.

  15. nonetimeaccount

A FOR EFFORT JUST DOESN’T FEEL GOOD ENOUGH RIGHT NOW

GIVE ME MORE OF ALL AROUND JALEN. GRATS ON THE TRIP DUB. KEEP IT GOING.

    WE. DON’T. GOT. SHOOTERS.

IDK IF AMEN WILL EVER BE A STARTING PG BUT HE IS DEFINITELY A BALLER. THERE’S TOO MUCH GOOD GOING ON TO DENY HIS SKILLS.

UNC PLAYS BECAUSE UNC IS A PRO. EVERYONE UNDER 25 IN THAT LOCKER ROOM NEEDS TO TAKE NOTES.

I JUST WANT TO BE HEALTHY AGAIN.

    STAY TIPPIN

  16. handofluke

3.5 games out of the 10th seed, not looking great.

Jabari and Brooks underdelivered a bit but I understand that with Cam and Sengun out the defensive intensity and shotmaking responsibility has to go elsewhere. Jalen played his heart out and it’s awesome that he got a triple double when he wouldn’t sniff one in his rookie/sophomore year. Shows growth and the intensity that burns as he begins to approach his ceiling. Amen shot alright but I want to see more of what we drafted him for. We don’t need another inconsistent scorer who can’t make threes, we need a defensive-minded playmaker.

  18. A disappointing game but some good moments. Also nice to see Nate Williams get some run, we will probably need to see more of him with the injuries to Whitmore, Eason and it looks like Tate could use some rest as well

  19. cool_hue

We’re still young and our vets have been disappointing. We need to find some hierarchy if we want to break out. Thunder crowned Shai and he has lead them to the next level. We have to figure out who is our guy. I think it’s either Sengun or Jalen. Jalen was great tonight, he works better as your primary ball handler and he just doesn’t work as the third guy behind Sengun and Fred.

Back to the hierarchy thing our offense at points has looked worse than Silas ball due to anyone going into iso and trying to call their own number. Dillon, Jeff, Aaron, and Tate need to calm down with the trying to get their own bucket. It works some nights but others it’s a disaster.
