The Mavericks led wire-to-wire as they defeated the Thunder, 146-111, in today’s matinee. Luka Doncic led Dallas with 32 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds (35th 30-PT game of the year, which is second in the league) as Kyrie Irving added 25 points, eight assists, and six rebounds. The new additions for Dallas, Daniel Gafford (19 points, nine rebounds) and P.J. Washington (14 points, five rebounds), had great debuts as well. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 25 points, six rebounds, and five assists in the loss. That’s four wins in a row for Dallas as they move to 30-23 while the Thunder fall to 35-17.

In their 1st meeting Shai had 17 PTS, 9 AST, 3 REB, 5 STL and Luka had 36 PTS, 18 AST, 15 REB, 2 STL, 2BLK. In this 2nd meeting Shai had 25 PTS, 6 REB, 5 AST and Luka had 32 PTS, 9 AST, 8 REB. STOP the comparison, if Luka had Thunder's squad they would be easily 1st in the standing.

Mavs FG% 58, OC 38. That's 20 more! No wonder they won. BUT… average FG for both teams is around 50 I presume. So we shouldn't get too excited for the Mavs and downgrade OC. Next few games will be different, mark my words.
