Luka Reveals the Truth About The Most Insane Moment of His Career
The more times it Blitz we won more games that’s interesting I’m gonna look at that I’m gonna look that set up you’re a big Advanced St guy I can tell no definitely not you’re in the analytics now I’m not why you don’t think I was as a
Player you don’t think I was studying the as a player you were shooting I was correct correct that’s about it that’s about it I would have let never okay um I want to ask about one one specific play from last season and that was uh the Knicks game timeing shot off the Miss
Free throw oh yeah so there’s two things that are really fascinating to me about that play number one was your celebration yeah which I want to hear about yeah you’ll be surprised watch that celebration yes you were surprised what I thought okay and then the second
Part is the fact that I was only with you for two months but the amount of dumb that you practice no I’m being serious the amount of dumb you practice and then it just comes out in a game like I I bet you I whether you’re willing to admit it
Or not I bet at some point in your life you’ve practiced intentionally missing free throws yeah I did it against San Antonio too yeah that’s that’s year there was a shot you made it against Atlanta in that 73o game from the right corner behind the backboard it
Was over the backboard I know that’s what I said yeah and going right I don’t go and going right you you can’t shoot going right crazy just show it no you just gather dribble and and snatch it back no it was going right I know but you never shoot going right you shoot
Going right yeah of course but tell me about that celebration oh yeah moment yeah actually thought we won it was two points so maybe you aren’t that smart yeah maybe not yeah I actually thought it was you thought it was a onepoint game I don’t know what I
Thought but I thought it was a onepoint game and that’s what I’m saying so I don’t know was happening I actually thought we won cuz then I went there to celebrate it and then I think sew tells me you know it’s a tight game so oh that’s fascinating yeah but then I
Wouldn’t miss the free throw right I don’t know what’s going on but that a lot of emotions but but that was a that was a great example of uh the joy at practice oh that it was a a great example of both it was a great example
Of the joy and it was a great example of you doing dumb at practice Yeah coming out of in a game I do practice a lot of them going back to the criticism is it still as fun do you still find as much joy does it wear on you at all you’re older
Now getting old but no I mean I find Joy yeah Ian there’s always been going to be CR criticism you know uh but then I always remember when I was young I just wanted to be an NBA player that’s it and now to be where I am it’s
Just unbelievable so that that all goes away at the moment but it’s weing down a lot sometimes honestly what was your stat line last night 35 18 and N yes how many turnovers one one at the end of the game yeah apparently that was the only game in basketball references database
With the with that stat line it’s pretty good you forgot two steals one block should be three steals but like I said your defense has just been phenomenal this year did I say that or did you say that you said it I said it you should
Say it on TV I should yeah push the agenda for NBA second defensive team the other stat I got this morning which I love this one last night broke a tie for the most career 35o games before turning 25 you now have 89 all right you’ve moved
Into third place all time Wilt has 92 LeBron has 103 close LeBron when did you turn 25 February 28th I don’t think you’re get there you might be you you could beat Wilt you could beat Wilt so wil is second yeah Wilt second you can get that
You could be Wilt do you do you think about LeBron’s record I know you get asked about it yeah is it is is stuff like that important to you no is there any chance you would ever you’re not play I say I’m not playing that long no
Chance I’m going to have my own Farm I’m going to be in Slovenia what does a perfect career look like for you from here on out you’ve had a pretty damn good career so far but from here on out I mean I still nothing I mean in NBA I won
Europe but you know championships that’s it do MVPs matter to you I mean obviously I would like one you’d like one yeah of course yeah who wouldn’t like MVP I’m just saying one MVP a championship and then you’re in svenia on your farm hopefully I can get more
Championships but yeah I still got a build a farm so it’s so I still got some years to go
Do you remember when the Dallas Mavericks and the New York Knicks had a nail biter of a game and Luka Doncic intentionally missed a free throw, got the rebound and hit the game tying shot to send it into overtime? And the Mavs went on to win the game? Well… the entire thing happened because Luka didn’t know the score lol. He thought it was a game winner and that’s how we got the iconic Luka celebration.

Luka’s already a NBA legend at 24
MVP
That game was the 3rd time a team had ever come back from a 14 pt deficit with 2:30 left in a game in the nba. Huge
The opening back and forth was so funny hahaha great interview
How can you not love Luka man
Luka is messing with JJ. I love it! Too bad the NBA leadership doesn’t like Luka.
This guy some how won’t win MVP despite his second best player missing 75% of the season and any decent teammate he has is in and out of the lineup every other game or just flat out missing weeks lmao
"Push the agenda to the NBA all-defensive second team" in a dead serious tone. Love you, Luka! 🙂
Me and Luka have the same aspiration….
our own farm.
Luka: "That's about it."
JJ: "That's about it?"
Luka: "…"
The dead silence and the stare got me 🤣
luka is actually unintentionally hilarious
Wait so he thought he can either tie the game or win it with free throw and went for the game winner? That a killer right there.
'Getting old.' 'When I was young, …' — Luka
Man the silence after JJ said ”that’s it” had me dying Luka’s really a comedian 😂
Joker loves horses.
Luka loves farms.
Luka always downplays stats, but it’s clear he studies the advanced stats hard haha
Luka is funny asf😂😂
Just a side note, but wish there could be two separate tables. Seeing the squeaky, see-sawing tables as the host/guest rest their elbows detract from the value/presentation of the segment.
0:31 Haha I love Luka for this.
YOU HAVE SEEN IT HERE FIRST. Jokic and Luka WILL BE teammates AT SOME POINT in their career. Even if its when they are past their prime.
A farm I love it ❤😂😂
Also Luka is a millionaire. Why can't he build his farm now?
This is the best ex player, current player interview ever LOL
How small that coffee cup is in his hand is funny every time.
the funniest thing was when Luka hit the off balance 3 game winner on Memphis like a couple years ago
If I was Lukas friend, I would do that dance every time something remotely positive happened. 😂
Luka had the most efficient game in NBA history scoring 73 points in regulation shooting 75% and the NBA and its media pimps bashed him for it. He’s remained at #2 behind Embiid in scoring but he’s #6 on the MVP list. Refs allow players to assault him in games and they never call fouls on them. Notice the NBA never promotes him although he’s broken almost every record. They hate White European players and they don’t try to hide it.
i love this guy
Why don't players practice missing free-throws? I used to practice hitting the back of the rim so the ball comes off hard & high. I practiced hitting the front of the rim & the side of the rim depending on who I wanted to get the rebound. Guys who get the crunch-time shots should practice missing free-throws & gauge how the ball comes off the rim.
I’m a Black female who grew up in the Deep South during the Civil Rights era. I can definitely recognize racism. I can say whatever the heck I want to. The NBA is treating White Europeans like they treated us in 1965. The players respect Luka but the NBA FO hates the European players. There’s no place for the NBA hatred in 2024. Silver should be ashamed.
There is no doubt somehow some way Luka and Joker will team up to win a couple of titles then it's all farming and harness racing from then on out.
2:05 lmaoo this guy 😂😂😂😂
The blks are jealous AF
JJ needs to get off this dude’s balls smh Kyrie is the heart of this team, quit playing
Let’s gooooooooo Mavs! I’m your biggest Pittsburgh fan!🖤💛🏀🤟👇
Pure joy is what that celebration was.
Wait are these two comedy gold😂😂😂
I still gotta build the farm is a bar, and he knows it.
If he keeps practicing that, he could get like Steven Adams one day
This was like a parody interview lol
I get what Luka is saying. In the moment, you go in knowing that you have to miss, rebound and make the shot. And is such a feat to make It work that, when you do It, the adrenaline and tension and thinking "I did It" usually make you get a bit lost in the moment.
Reverse j.r smith
Luka is a troll😂
"You were shooting". "Thats it". Luka is great. Implying JJ just needed to shoot and didn't do anything else
Luka's a funny guy 😆
Did he take English classes?
Anyway, it's nice that he keeps it honest "Who wouldn't want an MVP".
Hope he gets that farm of his someday
I never knew Luka was so sarcastic
Luka has the most european humor lol
Props to the guy that edited this. Made it even funnier.
