Can we stop calling people doomers when they point out our one big glaring weakness now? I know the run to get back into the seeding race was awesome but now everyone’s legs are tired and we have an obvious problem that should’ve been addressed at the deadline. Lot of big teams in the West. This is the year if we can get past this one hump
I knew this team was unserious when I saw players at the Super Bowl yesterday.
Piss poor defense and selfish offense settling for okay shots. Shades of the loss to the Pelicans. Can’t be losing games like that again.
They didn’t back their talk up. Knew this shit was gonna be a wrap when I saw people at the Superbowl.
Just get Thaddeus Young at this point…6.8 strong guy that can play defense and rebound and not get killed in the paint…yes he is 35 and his 3pt is gone but that all we can do right now since FO though it was smart not going after a PF when we really struggled all year against teams with length and size.
The second unit is way too volatile, and I’m not picking on just the bigs.
What the hell did Ty tell the team at halftime?
Can’t wait to see what Ty comes up with to address the size issue
The game was lost in the 3rd quarter. That was tough to watch
Boo on to the next. We have problems with big teams but those series we are going to need 40+ minutes from Kawhi, pg, zu and harden. Those Plumlee minutes killed us
Getting beat down at home with the 1st seed on the line is beyond embarrassing.
I Hope being stingy with they 2030 pick doesn’t bite us in the ass. The Clippers need to get bigger and there is no excuse that change that
Russ played too many minutes 15 max, if PG is still hurt sit him because he’s hurting the team. Let Jordan Miller play more
Ty lou and the coaching staff need to get together and draw up some gameplans against these bigger teams, taking contested mid-range shots isnt gonna cut it
5 out and spam threes like a boston or GSW might have to be the plan, we have a better offense then everyone
Winnable game if Plum, Norman, and Russ hadn’t performed poorly.
Harden has to be in the small ball lineup, Russ has been playing too many minutes.
Plumlee and Theis aren’t competent playoff centers, I’d even rather try Tucker tbh.
Should’ve traded for some length. Some be tripping when they said nah
Russ blowing 3 easy layups leading to fastbreak points on the other end was the game. 12 point swing 🙁
Russ has proven he can adapt. I’d really like him to play Clippers ball rather than trying to one up opposing transition attackers. Gonna be a lot of film to learn from after this one. First half was fun.
turrible ernie
Wolves didnt shoot hot from 3s, we got bullied at home. if you think this game aint on ty lue then you seriously need to watch that 3rd qrt again and tell yourself why Russ played almost whole qrt while Rudy is playing deep drop coverage
I don’t believe PJ is that ass that he can’t get minutes. Maybe he can at least provide some toughness?
We have big guys on the roster. T Lue is like a woman who loves small dick because she’s never tried big lmao. Fr tho run a big lineup against Minnesota, at least Wingstop.. Coffey was cookin and needed to be fed more. I’d like to see Mann get 30 minutes or so.. I’m concerned lately where we look like total shit when Kawhi sits.
Russ sold this game idc what anyone says. I swear he wasn’t being baited into shooting 3’s before, but it’s ridiculous now, he can’t be playing more than 18 mins vs good teams. Every transition layup attempt is an automatic bucket for the opposing team. His hands are horrible, even on made layups, the ball floats outta his hands. Why does Ty Lue still think he can play small ball for extended periods vs big teams. Even though Zu was struggling offensively a bit, he’s so crucial for us, I hope it’s just a minutes restriction thing.
A defensive big who could actually fucking jump would have done wonders for this team. We have little blocking presence or lob threats against big teams like the Wolves
Disappointing game.
The Wolves are a good defensive team but it felt like they were in our heads before the game even started. They dictated the pace and changed our offense.
Our defense was lousy tonight, lots of easy shots at the rim for the Wolves.
Norms shot was off, not surprising with the shot he took on Saturday.
More concerning is Plumlee doesn’t seem to have the elevation he had before the injury. He was never a high flyer but he’s definitely struggling to get lift out there.
Why y’all take down my post game L video smh
As good as the Celtics are even they made moves during the trade deadline. We should have done something and it’s going to come back and bite us in the playoffs.
Twolves just might be the toughest matchup, if it isn’t a hot shooting night small ball is useless.
Really wish the team had gotten a real PF
“Show me” game. Definitely showed me we aren’t ready.
“B-but we don’t need trades, we don’t need size, the team is fine just the way it is, stop overreacting”🤓🤓
They are limping to the ASB. They better all take a look in the mirror and destroy the Warriors on Wed. Then carry that shit over after the break.
There is no excuse to play that sloppy and lazy tonight but especially the last 6 games or so. Tired is an excuse but going to the Super bowl instead of being ready for a massive game shows me some are no where near as bought in as I thought.
Lue also needs to take a T sooner or later. He has never done it and that Harden no call was blatant as fuck in front of multiple refs. Shit changed the game and they marched to the line all 3rd quarter.
The fact he hasn’t in 4 years now tells me he never will and sometimes you have to.
Whatever, chalk it up as a learning experience but our spirit we are playing with does not look right.
Playoffs look scary at this point.
First half was good. They played their asses off and it was what I expected: a close game against top seeds.
Then we kept trying to counter their size by going micro…well yall know what happened then. I don’t know how they can gameplan against size. I think best move is sign Thad Young and try to get Zu back to playing like 32 minutes a night. We’re stuck with what we have otherwise. Doesn’t help that our other big men, Plum and Theis, haven’t been very good as of late.
The Warriors are a good matchup for us tho, let’s hope they right the ship.
It’s just hard to win when the opposing center can dominate all 5 Clippers physically _at the same time_
A couple of those Gobert offensive rebounds were just deflating
Let PJ Tucker cook, seriously if we’re gonna do small ball against a team like Minny, we gotta play 5 out.
Zubac needs to get back to the form before he was injured, Cause plumlee and theis won’t have any use in the playoffs, and we relying on small lineups gonna eventually get pg or kawhi injured again
No ones gonna take take us seriously if we keep making the same mistakes.
We got blown out at home with a healthy roster. What happened to our PNR. Why does coach always have the same starting lineup against teams with size. Why did Theis not get more minutes. Our team is just gonna lose confidence if we always let the pressure of 1st seed get to us. So many issues this game had. We was fine on the road despite a loaded schedule and now we fully rested comfy at home we already got 2 losses. Oh btw the dynasty been on a hot streak and we play them next
No defense man. We haven’t played good defense in weeks
Russ can’t be playing high minutes vs serious contenders, im praying come playoff time he’s at 15 mins max. Playing small ball with Russ defeats the whole purpose of it, let PJ get some run in that setup
Enough is going to be said about the roster deficiencies (and rightfully so), but I’m worried that their slipping back to the tendencies that ruined last season. Team keeps getting away from ball movement, pick and roll is non-existant, too much iso ball and guys chucking up inefficient shots. We’re really going to see what this team is about in the second half. Got 4-5 12:30 games, a bunch of back to backs, and two 8 in 12/13 day stretches. Gotta be willing to focus and lock in everyday or else
Plz get Plumlee out of this team, I can’t watch him play anymore, dude couldn’t hustle for a rebound even if his life was on the line
