This is one of those fouls that gets called every time if it’s Luka Doncic getting hit and there’s 7:00 left in the second quarter, but the whistles are normally swallowed on the last shot of a game. I’m not a huge fan of the rules changing depending on game situation. Personally I prefer to let ’em play in both cases but this whistle is not particularly out of line with the whistle shooters get throughout the league, it’s just the rules usually change in the last ten seconds and they didn’t this time.
