Wolves are the #1 seed and their FO + coaching staff are in agreement that going big is the key to their success. Meanwhile, D. Hamas is about to play 3-guard lineups which will provide no defense or rebounding..

Lmao. I will never get over the fact that people call him Hamas. As in fucking terrorist… Fans are savages.

Wolves have the luxury of playing Reid, KAT, and Gobert heavy mins.
We’re missing Cam, Vando, Christie, and Vincent. We can’t get away with LeBron guarding smaller players on a consistent basis (even though he is still capable). We’re literally playing bigger with Rui in the starting lineup but, defensively, he misses a lot of rotations. We can’t consistently play Hayes or Wood heavy mins, although both have looked good in stretches of games at times. If Hayes continues to play well, we’ll see him more with AD.

I once thought Ham was better coach than Chrish Finch….

The Wolves are a way bigger team than us lmao
ProblematicAndCrazy
With the current players that the Lakers have available, we simply do not have an adequate wing rotation. Vando and Max and Cam are out right now. Rui is a statue on the perimeter.
Let’s see what happens when we get our wing depth back. Not going to judge lineup rotations until they come back. Ham looked like he was starting to turn a corner RE Vando before his injury, let’s see what happens

Guess that Gobert trade is starting to pay off

Meanwhile the Lakers still haven’t found a legit back up center. Pockets salivating at 3 guard lineups which will put more pressure on AD. I’m worried AD is going to get worn down or injured having to be the only defensive anchor the whole game. Pelinka is too dumb to realize we won a chip by having two defensive centers play alongside of AD. Why does this dimwit ditch the idea when AD himself says he plays best this way. No, instead we are constantly pushing a 3 guard lineup season after season to only fail, season after season. Even the Clippers have decent centers with Zubac, Plumlee, and Theis.

You say that like you wouldn’t drag Ham for playing Hayes/wood each 24mpg just to “go big”.

Y’all so dramatic

look I can agree with the 3 guard lineup as long as we aint doing darvins defensive scheme and let teams get practice shots against us, in theory 3 guards that will lead the offensive player into bron or ad is alot better than what we doing
Mr310
We need to use big lineups more, they work against the right teams. But I remember that unit getting smoked a couple times early in the season too. Ham just needs to recognize when its big vs. small time
madvisuals
didn’t we play AD at the 3 that one time lol what happened to that
UltimateSnake
Lakers started the big lineup trend in 2020 then went away from it. SMH

30 minutes for Jaxson Hayes? Do you have KAT, Naz Reid and Rudy Gobert level of centers here? Anthony Davis, yes.. then?
EverybodyBuddy
This is bigger than Hamas. We won in 2020 because of size. Rob immediately dismantled that size in the off season and we’ve never got it back.
RareWestern306
Hmm, Lakers were pretty big in 2020… What happened there?

I fucking hate this sub lmao. Ham could say literally anything and you idiots would find some way to get mad at it…

I’m generally here for the Ham slander but you’re comparing apples and oranges bro. Saying their success is exclusively tied to size is laughably reductive when the reality is that the players who are providing the size have the right set of complimentary skills. Kat and Gobert don’t work if Kat isn’t an elite spacer.

This post is basically comparing Reid and gobert to wood and Hayes..

Outside of AD, the wolves bugs are better

I got excited during preseason when they had Rui AD and Wood playing together. Haven’t seen every game but don’t think they’ve been in the same line-up recently
