You gotta respect it. Lot of guys would’ve dipped to go ring-chasing. Kuz really does seem determined in doing something significant here. He’s not the best player by any measure, but I have nothing but respect for how much he hustles and competes on the court, and for his leadership and character. We are lucky to have him guide the young guys on the team, and I know it’s unlikely but I hope Kuz can stay here for the rest of his career and hopefully be here when we get a chip.

Kuz is seriously the man. No need to care about this franchise, we’ve given him no reason to want to stay. Seems to want to be the main guy and try and build a team around him. Probably won’t work but who knows, maybe Jordan Poole learns to play basketball again

Don’t really blame him. The city of Dallas sucks. Most drab, lifeless, soulless city I’ve ever visited. Not a fan, and looking at all the NBA cities out there, it’d probably be last on the list of places I’d want to live. Obviously well behind the DMV.

Article said the trade was fair and not a home run. Has less to do with Winger/Dawkins goodwill, and more to do with a quasi lowball offer from the Mavs. Kuz is a GREAT guy, but he’s not gonna be here past the rebuild. If the right deal comes up after the season, he’s gone, IMO. There’s more nuance to this situation than what it seems on the surface.

I do appreciate him sticking through the early years of the rebuild as a leader, but I hope this doesn’t turn into a Beal situation where we don’t take a good offer and he just whittles away over time without any results.
It’s wild to me that he’d want to stay though, gotta respect that

It’s so funny how our top players such as Wall, Beal , Kuz, Porzingis end up liking DC. But it’s not looked at as a attractive free agent destination to outsiders. Hopefully Will changes the narrative
VictoryForValkyon
and we didn’t even need to offer him a supermax for him to like us huh
you love to see it

I hope he’s still here for whenever we stop being an unserious franchise. He deserves to contend with us if we ever get there while he’s still in the league.

Not a good sign when a garbage player gets what he wants….GOOD franchises always make the right move for their team not what trash players want.

I’ve seen enough. Offer him a supermax with a No Trade Clause
