I’m not diving into stats but are there other all stars that have a game where they score 3 points with 0 assists like on Monday? Jamal’s inconsistency is the reason he doesn’t get picked. And it’s not just inconsistency, it’s the games where he all out disappears.
With his current career resume? No. But if he continues to play like this in the playoffs, he will eventually be the best non all star player all time. Although with every great playoff run, the chances of him eventually getting into the all star game will get higher and higher even if he continues having mediocre (for his standards) regular seasons.
Rod Strickland is the name that stands out to me. I can’t believe he was never an all-star
