Last year, Windhorst and them talked about how the NBA wants to expand to Mexico by having a team in Mexico City. The main thing holding them back is actually altitude. It’s hard for players to play there, especially older players, because it’s higher than Denver even. I’m sure the teams employ exercise scientists who are the ones holding their stars back from these games — easier to get injured, harder to recover, etc.
If you told me Atlanta was on the list of top 5 highest altitude I wouldn’t have believed you. The more you know (cue NBC 90’s music)
I’ve been to 4 games in person so far this year.
No Haliburton at the Pacers game
No Lebron at the Lakers game
No Embiid at the 76ers game
Thunder had a full lineup
Some of those people were out due to injury, but none of them were out when I purchased my tickets to the games 🙁
Was at the Bucks game, Giannis and Dame were playing.
I’m sure this contributes to Utah having a historically better home record.
Yeah it’s really frustrating. It’s so hit and miss getting tickets to games before the day of.
