[95.7] “If [LeBron James] has wandering eyes in the summer, or if Kevin Durant does or if Paul George is going to be a free agent at this point… the #Warriors will be in on that conversation.” @anthonyVslater on the Dubs potentially bringing in another star ( @MorningRoast957 )

We have the assets and we have Stephen Curry.

  2. Cheap-Bed1892

I’ve always wanted Paul George to pair with steph for years now

  3. Paul George would be the one I would want of those three

  4. InevitableBudget510

Sorry Dunleavy, I wasn’t really familiar with your game

  5. AggressiveRegret

Wonder how much dray’s comments affect the KD thing. PG is spicy because he’s basically 2022 playoff Wiggs all the time (when he’s healthy)

  6. sergechewbacca

MDJ is unhinged in the best way possible

  7. DerpDerper909

Paul George would be awesome in a sign and trade for Wiggins and possibly someone else

  8. ImTheBestNerd

Mike, I was not familiar with your game

  9. SeekingSignificance

I just fear Kuminga will be the cost for anyone

  10. Could you imagine if the Clippers somehow retain George, and get KD and LeBron as a big 3. Would be a serious contender, despite anyone’s age.

Nuggets can have Draymond, we’ll take that big Serbian lump off their hands.

This report isn’t really a revelation or anything. Lacob most likely has told MJD to go for a whale in the off season. If one isn’t available, the other direction is to possibly build around the idea of the Steph and Kuminga duo.

  13. Any of these guys would need to flame out in the playoffs.

Ohh this is good, cause Slater is known to write stories based on fact and less opinion. Very reliable source

Every free agent looks at every team. Ok maybe not every team, but a lot of teams. Since the Warriors aren’t the Wizards, of course free agents who want to win will consider the possibility.

    This is a non story.

  16. KD won’t be back with the draymond shit plus he hates bay media

  17. the warriors are not trading kuminga. Steph/JK duo extends Steph’s window they can see it now

  18. candyman58

This is what we are talking about stop it

  19. Downtown_Ant

There’s no way KD can come back. If you thought the slander was bad before, it would be exponentially worse if he had to return because he couldn’t win a title elsewhere.

    So let’s talk paths here:

The Warriors can’t play in free agency, full stop. Even if they renounce Klay’s rights and cut Paul, they’re still well over the cap.

That said, there’s a narrow window to play in the sign & trade market. They’d be hard-capped at the first apron, so they’d necessarily have to dump Paul + someone making real money (probably Wiggins, if I had to guess) in the trade, but they could maybe make that workable.

Easier would be packaging Paul + Wiggins for a max guy in the offseason, if someone wants out.

I realize I might be in the minority, but I’m kind of over the old veteran FA move. It’s a young man’s league at this point. Fit over name for my liking. PG can be great but he can also disappear. KD made his choice. Lebron? No. Just no. First Chris which we’ve accepted but Lebron? Even if we won’t it all it wouldn’t feel right. Good maybe, but not right.

But, in the end I’m just some dude that always hesitates at the big one name FA signing that sets everything back a bunch for one shot at it all. Feels sort of panicky. Like betting it all on black rather than sitting and playing for a while. Swinging for the fence so if you strike out you can say, well, I wasn’t swinging for contact.

  22. cock-a-dooodle-do

Bro, why? Why fuck your depth when your young players are rising to the challenge. If Kuminga becomes a 25 ppg guy next year, we are good.

  23. thesecondandre

LeBron, Steph, Dray, Wiggs and JK is crazy.

CP3 is here too. Might be a reason to keep him.

  24. OlorinDK

Well, if Wiggins is again the 2nd best player on a championship team, or if Kuminga is, I’m not sure I’m trading either (or both) for aging and/or injury prone players. Not even superstars.

Now we know why and for who, the Dubs picked up a 2nd round pick.
