Quin is not it. Nate was a better coach and had the team in a better place on defense and nearly the same offense with Lloyd Pierce holdover coaches. Definitely resetting my expectations for him until he proves me otherwise.

i’m just gonna say it man can we stop acting like dejounte isn’t one of the core issues with this team ? he was brought in to be the 2nd guy on the team on offense and bring defense to the backcourt and he’s a turnstile on defense and he’s wildly inconsistent at running a offense but he thinks he’s the guy so he pouts and gives half assed effort if you don’t give him the ball and allow him to do what he wants . replace him with a actual 2 guard who can defend and shoot and see how much different things look
This is the most down I’ve been on a Hawks team in years. This team has no glue guys…no locker room leaders (love Trae but that’s not him). Just a complete nightmare last two games after we’d kinda turned the corner winning 6 of 8. All that hard work is now flushed down the drain
Our stupid fucking beat reporters floating unfounded Trae off-season trade rumors has gone to his head. Trae clearly was pissed off today and was all too happy to let DJM chuck at will which has become the norm for the Hawks. If Trae is gonna sacrifice his own shots, it needs to be for JJ, Hunter and OO, not Murray who is already taking 18 shots per game

I hate this team. I hate how the Magic, Cavs, Knicks all rebuilt faster/better than we did. I hate Tony and Nick Ressler. I hate Landry Fields. I hate everything about this team.
Idk how we go about improving this team in the summer because we basically have no good assets apart from Trae/DJM/OO/JJ and DJM is the only one who looks to be available and we all saw how that went at the deadline only path I see is Kobe and JJ becoming stars in this league
I would not be surprised at all if the front office traded all of DJM/Bogi/Capela this offseason. Those 3 have major deficiencies that have not improved whatsoever.

I’m sorry but this team needs a rebuild so bad. Even if we got better players, I doubt we ever become championship contenders in the Trae Young era. We fuckin blew it. Lick your chops and trade him to the Spurs to get our picks back so we can tank. Trade Dejounte to wherever tf idc. Get picks back from trading Bogi and Clint. Keep Hunter to boost his value then eventually trade him too. Play and develop JJ, OO, and Bufkin.
Quin, it’s not a matter of competing. The defense is hot ass and the backcourt is unmotivated.

This is some immaculate tanking from the Hawks going into all-star break. A loss to the Bulls gave them tiebreaker. This loss also gives us a 2 game buffer in the standings.
Yes this isn’t what you want to hear but the on court product sucks. We have a 55 game sample size and this team isn’t doing anything. Our best bet is to get as high of a pick as possible which can allow us to A. Keep the pick and the SAC and take someone with high upside. B. Package the SAC pick and our pick and move up in the draft.
The only thing we can do right now that can help the team long term is giving Kobe, AJ, and Lundy NBA minutes and hope our front office does some moves in the offseason. This is a hill I’ll die on.

I’m not hoping for anything to change anymore (except for the rookies to play). I’m embracing the tank. I don’t know if anyone in the organization is, but the result may be the same. This is our last chance at a high pick for a while. Maybe we can strike gold. It’s more likely than the FO finessing their way out of this hole.
The thing that kills me is that the front office wants to lie to our faces and say they’re developing internally whilst showing NO SIGNS of such things
