Hard to be too mad since we we’re so depleted, but still frustrating because we clearly could have won it (and thus gone into the ASB as the 4th seed). Ah well.
I missed Abbott Elementary to watch the Sixers fuck up a routine rebound.
#AND IF YOU DON’T LIKE THAT, WELL THEN I GUESS YOU DON’T LIKE PHILADELPHIA 76ERS BASKETBALL, BUCKO
The heat own us because they do all the little things that this team NEVER fucking does. So fucking annoying.
Well, let’s just get healthy after the break. Hopefully Batum, Melton and Roco will come back
More C4, less KJ (KJ was even decent tonight, but he’s not that dude)
Rebounding has been a problem all season, even when Embiid was playing and still no improvement on that front. Daryl sold not improving that aspect.
I think Nurse messed up by not having Ricky in at the end
Also the passing back and forth between Maxey and Hield with no plan or will to shoot hurt us
Looking like a team of 5 Tobias’ on that last rebound.
Not a single minute more of KJ Martin or Nurse’s judgment comes into question
we actually did well rebounding until the fourth believe it or not, i honestly feel like miami was getting a lot of lucky glances
Closing lineup should’ve been Maxey Payne Hield Council Reed. Leaving Oubre and Martin in the game when they showed they had zero idea how to play against a zone was certainly a decision from Nurse
Pathetic effort in the 4th vs a undermanned Heat team on a B2B. Hate to say it but that’s difference between the Heat and every other NBA organization
I hope I never see Kj martin minutes again… where tf was ricky
I don’t know if it’s just me but this might be the worst defensive rebounding team I’ve ever seen. Just so consistently give up 2nd chances
KJ Martin and cam Payne to close out is not the move. Especially on a defensive possession where you’ll need the board.
Damn I guess we kind of got the full Buddy experience now. Still worth it, still love what he brings. Gotta temper our expectations a bit. But my god when our guys get back bums like KJ and Cam Payne won’t be seeing minutes in the playoffs.
Nasty politics keeping ricky out of the closing lineup
I hate when this team loses as much as anyone, but we’re also down 4 starters, one of whom is the mvp. Sucks that we’re down so many, but it’s tough to be mad when we lose one this close.
i was able to forgive playing marcus morris over roco because roco’s knees are clearly dust
but KJ martin over ricky council? i seriously gotta hear the reasoning behind that. KJ is not a vet and he’s not skilled and he’s not smart. he shouldn’t play in the clutch EVER
Not to stir the pot but… Pat Bev would’ve got that rebound.
Haha on to the ASB, definitely feeling better after the deadline.
Any rebounders in the buyout market? Asking for a friend.
Buddy was feeling it early and some combination of Heat adjustment, inability to get Hield more good looks, and minutes accumulating slowed that down.
Nice that the all star break absorbs one full week of Joel recovery. Should make him resurrect on or about Easter.
WTF WAS THAT? Why is Cam Payne in defensive lineups when you need a fucking board?
How the hell did Kenyon Martin have 20 rebound games and his son can’t rebound for shit
not even kidding when i say i’d rather see the bucks in the playoffs over the heat. i want no part of their devil magic
Same thing happened at the end in Cleveland where they couldn’t rebound for shit. Got lucky then, not tonight.
if we have tobias we win that game
We got bad oubre and bad Payne tonight. If one of them shows up it’s a W
The sixers got out rebounded by 2 despite missing 4 guys. They didnt lose because of the rebounding they lost because they shot 28% from 3 and missed 4 foul shots.
Morey needs to really think about giving Maxey a max contract. A max guy needs to be able to keep our heads above water when Embiid is out.
This Heat team had NO ONE, and were coming off a back to back. This was pathetic.
I think Maxey’s game is severely overinflated by standing next to the best player in the world. Without Embiid he plays like 1 good game out of 5. A max contract is going to end up being a big mistake.
This sub isn’t going to like to hear it about the Phila hero and golden child though.
This season’s 100% over.
* hield is setting slip screens that he used to set for haliburton but for maxey. the difference is haliburton would hit hield on those screens as he flares out to the 3pt line.
* ricky should have obviously been in the closing lineup. his energy going for rebounds and loose balls would definitely have saved that last possession when adebayo got the rebound over kj martin.
* great game from paul reed. looked like the same energy he showed more consistently last year on the boards and it paid off with the double-double.
Criminal Rick Council IV not playing in the last minutes.
Can’t even beat a tired depleted Heat.
We are trash.
There are some truly abominably bad takes. “We can’t beat an undermanned heat”. The Heat are missing 2 rotation players. The sixers are missing 4 STARTERS AND 2 BACKUPS.
Saw that Google Pixel commercial every break. Is Jalen green the worst nba player to get a major commercial?
Some of our fans are psychotic… we were missing the MVP, 3 other Starters, RoCo, and Kyle Lowry and were using Hield, Payne, and Council that didn’t play with us at all until a week ago and haven’t had any time to develop chemistry. The Sixers will be a juggernaut if healthy in the playoffs. Health is the only real issue, not the production of our 13th best player KJ Martin.
Offense moves the ball and looks better without the ball stopper Harris in the lineup. Nurse needs to make a commitment to giving Harris less minutes, if he can’t consistently contribute. See y’all after the break, maybe we will have everyone else ready to go
So many dumb comments….it is really eye opening
Should’ve won this game, this team lacks fundamentals and discipline. A lot of the little stupid shit cost us this game, can’t be like that against the Heat.
I feel much better about this teaming heading into the break, they are making plays and not rolling over to teams. Once we get everyone else healthy and figure out rotations, should make some noise in the East. Feels good
Maxey and Hield did solid, Heat were injured too so pretty meaningless game although I would’ve loved a win. Oubre and Payne were rough, even just adding Batum in this lineup we probably would’ve won. The development of Maxey and Hield and them continuing to get comfortable with each other is very promising. Can’t wait to see what this squad looks like fully healthy.
Fuck Haywood highsmith
