I’ve been seeing people say for a while that we’re basically locked in to 5th, but suddenly we’re only 3 games back from Charlotte.
We have the 4th toughest Strength of Schedule remaining and we still have to play them twice. Beyond that do you think we can climb into the Top 3?
I know losing isn’t fun but the trade deadline has passed, the draft is all we have left, we’re in tanking season now baby!!!
TheLetterOh
I hope they pass us up, but I would never count on Charlotte to win basketball games.
Imo it’s not worth it to chase after it and I really hope that they don’t start aggressively tanking like they have the last few years.

I don’t think it matters much. The difference of quality in draft picks is very little 1-10. If you’re hoping for Sarr, the odds of moving up from #4 or #5 are about the same.
I’m personally not worried about moving up or down a spot.

We can shut down Ant and Grant. I want to watch Scoot and Ayton for the rest of the season.

Chauncey’s booty is what we need to guide this tank!

I think it is possible to catch CHA. I look at CHA and see guys like Mann, Grant Williams, Bridges who probably feel like they have something to prove. Couple that with Brandon Miller, Mark Williams, and a healthy LaMelo and I could see them winning a few games down the stretch. They also added some veteran shooting with Bertans and Curry. Not saying they are good, but the end of the season can get wacky.

In my opinion, hell no lol we should be more worried about Memphis catching us. I think we’re a better team than Memphis honestly. We could win more games.
lunes_azul
Small chance but there’s a chance! They’re absolutely terrible without Mark Williams and LaMelo Ball. It feels like Ball might finally be back after the ASG, which will give them a lift.
Little bit worried about Memphis. With Adams and Tillman gone, Ja finished and both Smart and Bane with ‘extended’ injuries, they’re arguably the worst team in the league with what they have left to work with.
Randvek
No. If we move slots it will be because Memphis passed us. It’s very unlikely we go lower than 5, imho.
Memphis basically did pretty well when Ja came back but have been worse than us the entire rest of the season.

I’m a bit worried about the Grizzlies on our heels, they’ve been losing a lot.

Wow there are some assy teams this year. And yes.
TrumpedBigly
I really hope so.

#4 slot: 58.8% chance of a top 5 pick
#5 slot: 44.3% chance of a top 5 pick
In other words, a 26% higher chance at a top 5 pick with the #4 slot instead of the #5.

Still can’t believe Charlotte slaughtered the deadline so hard. Kupchak with the bishslap on the way out
SongBig1162
I don’t really think it matters I don’t think anyone in the top 5 outside of Nikola topic is worth a top 5 pick. If we could win games because scoot is improving I’d rather have that outcome instead.

Blazers still have two games against the Hornets, lose both of those and there is a chance to do it.

I don’t think it’s worth rooting for this year. The top is so flat, I’m taking that as an invitation to root for wins and for the kids already on the team.

Anything’s possible if you despair enough.

I don’t have the slightest bit of worry where our picks end up based on the layout of this class. The guys I want (Matas and Zvonimir) will likely be available at both of our picks
jboarei
I believe all spots are still widely up for grabs. A massive losing streak could inflict any of the bottom five still.
pokemongofanboy
What site is this with top 4 % etc?
effkriger
I’m worried about Memphis
Oggbog
Don’t know if it’s worth the effort, it’s a 2% difference between 4th and 5th. We’re bad, they’re bad. I think we should keep trying to win games.
If we go on a wild tear and say win 3 games in a row, maybe then you reevaluate who plays. But for now it doesn’t matter
