Steve Kerr Postgame On Warriors Collapse Against Clippers After Tyronn Lue Ejection
I think 42 43 points what was what was going on with your defense yeah they picked us apart in the pick and roll and we didn’t adjust to it well enough um you know they got the ball into the pocket uh nor pow got several threes you
Know out of that uh you know the pocket pass uh and then we fouled them I think they shot 15 free throws uh in the fourth quarter 37 for the game so um thought we had a really good uh first three quarters defensively um for the
Most part the third quarter was was uh you know better was okay um the last couple minutes of the of the third it felt like um they got loose a little bit and then they just dominated the fourth seemed like the offensive reruns I think
They had six in the fourth all so they seem pretty timely how much did those kind of yeah those are for sure you know when we did get stops um we just couldn’t come up with the ball so disappointing because our defense has been uh very good for the last U few
Weeks and we let our guard down looked like you did not want the foul when clay committed the foul yeah we didn’t want we’re down three with 38 seconds um so you know it’s an obvious uh defend and no uh you know just play it out and get
A rebound and then we’re it’s a one possession game oh uh hi uh coach so uh clay this Ison performing just um inconsistent so you as a shooter uh in your career and you have some incredible moments in your career so you definitely understand a Minds set and confidence as a shooter so
When a player going through like such a career challenge what kind of role uh should a coach play yeah uh yeah I mean that’s that’s my job to help our guys be the best versions of themselves and um you know there’s different ways to do it um but it’s mostly communication and
Perspective and and then trying to to put players in the best position to find their Rhythm uh within the game Steve is given that you know we’ve seen this kind of thing happened before do this feel like a little bit of a relapse to what happened earlier or is this just a
One-off you think uh I think this is a one-off I think you know we played um we played a really solid game 34 assists and nine turnovers but the game got away from us defensively uh they’re in the fourth and uh you know I’d like U I’d
Like to to watch the tape and see how we can adjust better and because they they picked us apart in that high screen James Harden was fantastic tonight and U and we just could carral him in that fourth quarter and as I said um you know they they took advantage in every way
Offensive boards um you know getting to the rim we fouled them we fouled you know fouled James on that three-point shot which was a big play and so like I said we we lost uh control of the game defensively and I don’t think um we adjusted well enough either as a
Coaching staff what do you think about the play that um py got the uh flant on on psky and just how Brandon kind of played over the course of the night Brandon was great you know he’s um he’s one of our best players um he’s um you
Know he took a couple charges obviously shot the ball really well tonight um you know he’s um he was he was um really really good you you seem to be kind of settling into a closing lineup recently but you know Gary is back now and obviously he provides something
Different defensively how will he factor in potentially you know in closing lineups and did you think about him going to him tonight you know late I did put Gary in kind of mid fourth for JK for a few minutes and then went back to JK we felt like we needed the size uh
Out there but you know Gary absolutely has a chance to to close games um in that spot you mentioned psky shooting um if he makes threes how does that sort of change the dynamic I know he does other things for you but when he can shoot threes like he did tonight how
Does that sort of change the I think one of his best skills offensively is is driving close outs you know um when the ball swings to him people are closing out he attacks the close out gets the ball right to the front of the rim he
Has that Euro Step layup uh he’s a good passer so the more he’s making the three then the more teams have to close out on him and now he can attack that close out and generate a shot for him or someone else if

I wonder how come none of the reporters ask why Klay was out there in the final minute and lost the game for the team?
Lol
I swear it's Kerr and Klay who will cost Steph his rings cause they still live in past glory and don't adjust cause of ego, politics and just idiocy. Kerr doesn't trust the young guys and gives passes to vets though those vets fail the team time and again. No meritocracy. No accountability. That's awful for TEAM CULTURE. After what has happened the past two years, I think Kerr is among the bottom 3 of NBA coaches the past two seasons. He doesn't extract accountability, doesn't let young guys grow, doesn't let Steph thrive when he's hot. He is a huge reason why the Warriors keeps losing close games. Not Klay. Cause Kerr in the first place shouldn't be putting Klay in the clutch at this point. Worst coach of the year.
This loss was NOT a one-off. This loss was the result of systematic bad coaching. Kerr does not seem to know what the hell he is doing and I have had enough of this nonsense!!!
GP is arguably the best on ball defender and he's talking about defense 😂
