Well I’m convinced
I don’t believe anything unless there’s an anonymous source that was quoted.
Who is this guy
Why are you posting guys from Spurs Twitter like they’re actual journalists? They’re just regular fans with blog posts lol
This trae nonsense is driving me crazy. why not wait until his contract is over at least? so we know he won’t leave in free agency
Would getting Trae now be doing what the mavs did with Luka? I don’t mind it if we’re keeping Devin, Jeremy and our own picks, at the same time I’m also mindful of going too hard too soon, Atlanta picks next year and 2026 could be pretty valuable players too, and Trae needs the ball a lot… I guess either way would be somewhat exciting, because in the end we have Victor and he’s insane
Other than actual beat writers (Tom orsborne, Jeff McDonald, Tom petrini) Ty and Noah are the best spurs bloggers with some connections. And then when I’m starved for spurs content in the summer I like clan but not enough to keep up with him in season.
Lol Air Alamo coming with the heat. [0%]
Offseason makes a lot more sense. Neither team would have benefited from doing the deal at the deadline. Hawks are play-in bound either way, so why not give it one last run and spurs could use these last 30 games to keep Vic at 30%+ usage until they figure out how he would play with a scoring guard. Offseason also gives the spurs time to figure out 2nd unit if Keldon is in the deal (probably would be for cap balance right?)
This doesn’t seem like a Luka situation if you believe in Vassel and Sochan, not to mention they’ll still keep all their own picks from at least ‘25 onward. They can keep building out the roster with all of their pure assets in tact. Hopefully they can keep their own ‘24 pick, but man you gotta consider giving it up for franchise certainty at all key positions for a long time.
“Going for”
Which means they’ll make an offer. Doesn’t guarantee they get him. I’m sure they will see what happens with the lottery/Torontos pick, see if any star player loses early in the Playoffs and is disgruntled.
Going after Trae would be a giant mistake. He requires 20 shots at Westbrook efficiency+turnovers. Also complete defensive liability. Trae is a system and we would be better off pursuing a pg via draft.
I mean, putting this person’s credentials aside… Is anyone really surprised by this? It’s the most obvious move I can think of.
its too obvious they will try to get trae young with all the assets we have
