This was a loss that did not need to be that bad for one and it was honestly a very winnable game for the most part if we run this correct lineup the emphasis that we’re putting on Keon George to develop is starting to irritate me I’m starting to get lost in
The sauce I’m not buying it I’m not I’m not bought in what’s up D I’m I just I can’t I appreciate you I need I need to get a cut you know I got I got hair hold I got hair right here damn I got hair
Right here but my Corners are weak right here as we can see yeah the law play what works exactly exactly now credit to Taylor Hendricks right he didn’t shoot the best from this game again but his box score plus minus was let me check to make sure I don’t botch this his box
Score plus minus was a negative -2 because he played well within his means he didn’t overplay his part he was 0 of two had four rebounds had one block had two turnovers and four personal fouls right not a great game for him but he did what he needed to defensively
Overall to prevent himself from getting put in terrible situations thank you tayden done not starting as a disgrace thank you um I I I objectively cannot I I would I wouldn’t put anybody through that experience remember how we had Taylor Hendricks guarding Kevin Durant and Kevin Durant broke them off that one
Time and kind of did them dirty but Taylor Hendricks had that one block and like we can live and put hang our hats on that block and be like hey our rookie has promise objectively this guy has he’s he I’m not gonna say he has no promise that’s not what I’m saying
That’s not what I’m saying but Keon George was getting Fried by Wardell Stephen Curry and we left him in the game and then we pulled him out and then came back and put him in again continue getting fried just just irritating from that standpoint because there there’s objectively nothing that he learned in
That entire game because he came back in in the fourth quarter and did the exact same thing he was doing in the first half that led us into the deficit he had one of the most egregious box score plus minuses that we’ve seen to date from anybody right in a jazz uniform negative
32 negative 32 shooting two of 10 from the field one of six from three right he went one of two in this in the fourth quarter shooting wise was one of eight previous to that so not great you know had both of his turnovers in the fourth quarter too so
That didn’t help things um he did have four assists though we’re gonna try and be a little bit positive but I I I object you can play people like Jordan Clarkson sometimes for the fact that for example Jordan Clarkson was hot coming out the gate now he only ended up
Hitting two two out of his last 12 shots um which was bad but here’s why I’m not mad at Jordan Clarkson today guys he started the game five five we really needed that because we weren’t getting buckets out of keontay George right the rest of the starters were eh Lowry
Started the game really slow had like six points at halftime really started heating up in the second half didn’t get a free throw by the way deserve some I’m not gonna sit here and say oh he should have taken 10 but we’re we’re too two
Two fouls too much to ask for on him I don’t know apparently so though on our home court my issue with my issue the reason why I don’t have an issue with dra clar let me finish what I was saying 7 of 17 41% from the field not great but

Minus was a negative -2 which I was fine with I was acceptable with because he was on the court with most of the starting lineup and even with Walker kler on the floor Walker kler had one of the best box score plus mins with a zero
He put up a goose EG box score plus minus the most even you can get and 25 minutes and 48 seconds 507 from the field 74 71% from the from the field you know hit the one free throw that he took it was an and one we needed that it was
A good play he finished it I love that for him you also saw him grab nine boards had an assist had two steals had four blocks and only two turnovers and only two personal fouls 11 points he just missed his double double right Walker did his
Job today so I round of applause for Walker Kessler because you know we’ve had our gripes with him previously but today was not one of those days where you would have those issues so I’m appreciative of him really getting on things and really just being one of the
Best versions of himself we’ve seen all season because that hasn’t always been the case right but the story of today unfortunately is the fact that we ran a piss poor lineup for lack of better phrasing that involved Keon George getting minutes he should not have been on the court playing in because the
Objective of playing a rookie in poor situations is so that they can learn and get better right if you play him in the first half and he’s getting fried and you I’m assuming that in the locker room you have a conversation you tell him how he needs to be running the scheme I’m
Assuming we know we’re playing against the greatest shooter of all time you know not to go under a screen you know not to Sag off explain to me why when we cross when he crosses the half court we’re not above the three-point line why are we beneath the free
Three-point line why when a screen comes do we allow ourselves to get caught over the screen we don’t fight over we don’t call for a switch we say nothing we just get caught on the screen or We sync with the rle man why are you sinking and leaving John Collins to
Contest make the screen take you out of the play right if you don’t we know they’re known for screen action that’s what they do that’s the Warriors experience right a million screens in a in a DieHard three but if you just allow people to do what they want to do of course they’re
Going to do it and if you put your rookie out there and tell him what to do and he cannot properly execute you need to pull him from the game because objectively he’s not learning anything he’s just getting fried the whole time and his confidence is falling through

That second half Keon George was just so bad in this in the short minutes that he played in the second half that it effectively made everybody else look like they were not doing their jobs properly and that’s my biggest grap with today’s game am I going to sit there and say that
Keon George can’t be a good point guard I think he has the potential to be an All-Star caliber player at some point you know I just think that it’s gonna take him a little bit longer to get there um it’s hard to play a think of dejonte Murray right cool we didn’t get
Him at the trade deadline but the thing about Deon Murray he knew as a rookie coming into the league if he put enough emphasis on defense he would it would force Greg papovich to play him because as long as you can guard somebody I can play you you don’t have
To hit all your shots but as long as you cannot get fried on defense I can play you now if you put yourself in a situation where you can’t really play defense but you can have but you got a burner on you and you can get hot sometimes I.E Jordan
Clarkson right you’re willing to I’m willing to take that risk if you’re gonna give up 20 but you’re also capable of giving me 25 and at worst you’re gonna give me 15 I can play you right because at at worst it’s not gonna be that bad right I can have people cover
And help you out on defense at best you’re a big plus despite not being the best defender right that’s acceptable but if you can’t get a bucket and you can’t guard anybody I cannot play you and today we played him 30 minutes and you can’t do that because you’re
Effectively conceding the game to the greatest shooter of all time in a team that you’re gonna have to fight to be in the play in I wanted to I thought we were a playoff caliber team after the trade deadline I was pissed I’m not goingon to lie I was looking at it from
I was it made me not hate the game of basketball but it made me really look at things from an A very emotional point of view not an objective one objectively Danny a did what he needed to do at the trade deadline I’m willing to defend him
Now he made the right decisions I might not love them but ultimately it’s kind of like eating Brussels sprouts or your vegetables you don’t they don’t taste good you don’t love them but ultimately eating your broccoli every day is going to be better than eating a cake for

Have Lowry still have Collins who’s been playing really up to standard lately today wasn’t a great game for him but it also wasn’t a bad game for him Walker Kesler playing out of his mind doing his job perfectly well Colin ston was on fire today did his job well Taylor
Hendricks is playable because of his defense right he’s not getting absolutely Fried by anybody he played Kevin Durant and had some bad plays but he also had a couple good plays he had a couple good defensive stands you saw him learning on the fly right that’s defensive IQ you can’t really teach that
In game either you have the the ability to process the game at a higher level or you simply do not and Taylor Hendricks flexed that against Phoenix and he brought it into this game because he was not getting fired by anybody right continuing on on the list we still have
Jan Clarkson who’s gonna be he’s gonna have great games some games he’s gonna have bad games some games we know who Chris Dunn is Chris Dunn he knows when he’s not hot right he was one of six today 0 of three from the three-point line he also had three boards three
Assists three Steals and only one turnover right so he knows who he is he had the highest box score plus minus yes at uh plus six right and we played him 19 and a half minutes that tells me if Chris un started the game like he should have and
He closed the game like he should have we’re we potentially win this one right so I’m wondering if we are going to just let the boys play or if there isn’t a to just let the rookies get burned and if that’s the case go ahead and roll out
Bry sense the ball a lot more often right we saw at the very end there kir Lewis came in Bryce came in Luca came in om came in at this point just let those boys play because uh we had no intentions of winning the game now maybe this was I’m
Also willing to entertain it it was potentially just a test game to see if Keon was ready if that was the casee I hate to tell I hate to tell Will Hardy and everybody else in that you know the coaching staff in the front office we

There was one bad turnover at the end of the third quarter he goes to the rim and he got scared because on the previous actually both of his turnovers were actually pretty reasonable the first one no because he had a turnover and then a foul so one possession at the end of the
Third quarter he comes down the lane and mind you he’s been bullying who was it from the Warriors let me see Lester konus he was bullying him that entirety of the third quarter comes down the lane konus hands up ready to draw that charge TT wasn’t ready to
Adjust for it came barely on a lane put him on the floor they call a charge I’ll live with that I’ll live with that every time right because you know you have that mismatch in you’re trying to attack the mismatch I’m not mad at that at all
Shout out tht right coming back down though that next possession at the end of the third quarter he comes down clock winding down games it we’re about to we’re about to go into fourth but we want a bucket to close to close this out
On a run because we were down 13 or we were down 11 actually I think um comes down barrels into the lane it’s clogged up in the paint but instead of attempting a shot he looks corner and darts the ball if he floats it it might
Get there even if he floats it and it gets picked off they won’t have enough time to throw that go-ahead pass to Klay Thompson who was still down in the court to get that play to extend the lead next an extra two points now am I extremely
Pissed about it no because at the end of the day he hasn’t played that much too often he was racking up dnps before so this is the best tht we’ve seen in some time um so I’m not going to sit there and put two two poor plays that really
Weren’t that poor they were just you know bad judgment plays on him and say oh he just played poorly because no he played pretty good today his defense was pretty solid overall in the zone he wasn’t overplaying his part he wasn’t getting Fried by anybody his switches and pick and rolls were pretty
Reasonable I mean you know one of three from three for tht isn’t bad I can live with that that’s not too many shot attempts for him he was also five of nine he knew his role he knew that he could exploit them on the interior so he
Was taking that ball down the lane and shoving it down people’s throats you know had four assists had a nice little dump off to Walker Kesler after drawing Draymond in coverage you know and I think it was uh kaminga who tried to get over there Walker Kesler protected the
Ball well went up strong right smooth layup didn’t dunk it but smooth layup I like lik it overall I think we could have had a few more free throws that would have been nice I think that we shouldn’t have played we we I can I can accept us losing a game
Because we’re not as good as the other team that that happens it’s part of the game of basketball anybody that’s played knows sometimes you just put you just line up your five against another five and you understand y’all just don’t have it that night y’all just don’t have it that day
They’re just a better team than you I can live with that but what I can’t live with is rolling out a poor lineup and understanding that it’s a poor lineup and still playing it as though it’s going to work if you keep doing the same thing over and over and over again
Using the same recipe the same method and expecting a different result that is the definition of insanity today we were insane because Keon George at halftime had a box score plus minus of a negative 26 and I looked at everybody the same liability right John Collins was okay

He shot pretty good from three 40 Seven he also wasn’t terrible defensively right he looked a lot more engaged a lot more active his clothes outs were a lot crisper than they usually are it looked like he was genuinely putting in effort on defense today and that’s why I
Refused to cook Jordan clars in today despite him going two of 12 for his last 12 field goal attempts right had a had a hot start went cold but he gave me the font I was getting fono energy out of him essentially to say that when his
Shot wasn’t falling he was still willing to attempt some shots admittedly maybe a couple more than I would have liked but at the same time nobody else was hitting at the times sometimes when he would elected to take the shots that he took um but he was giving me that effort on
Defense he wasn’t out there getting boiled he was doing fine in his pick and roll coverages he was making sure to communic he was talking on defense today I don’t usually see him talking he was talking today um but yeah just just not very good on our

Wanted to hunt his shot a little bit more he was willing to get a little bit more bump off offish he was setting screens like he meant to set screens and I like to see that energy at allar because it’s not something you see often from him he usually makes the right play
He usually takes the right shot he’s been low-key developing that off the off the dribble game it’s not great yet it’s not perfected but I’m seeing some more growth and that that that that’s going to do wonders for us maybe not this year obviously but you know going into this
Offseason if he continues to work on it going into next season maybe even the year after that right as we as we potentially put together the pieces to be a contending team I think that that’s when things will really start clicking for him specifically and it start making
Us look a lot better as a team we said yeah what Jackson said because he’s a rookie and they want to develop it’s he didn’t learn anything today that’s what pissed me off the most Jazz have a point guard issue because D players like Hendrick need

To the G Le team he’s still making the proper rotations and communicating really well which credit to him is it’s hard to do a lot of people are gonna sit there and say oh he’s not scoring a lot so he must be a bust right people were
Even saying that in our comment section like if if he was that good he would have been playing it’s like okay well he’s not a playmaker right so he can’t take oenux role and be the Hub of the second unit offense that’s not going to work we’re paying John Collin too much

Is shooting poorly he’s also going to be a slight liability on defense right we know this the energy is always going to be there but he’s always going to be slightly physically outclass which is why I can see people say Chris dun should be on the floor right there’s
Some days where Jordan Clarkson is super hot and if you want to sit there and the fourth quarter comes and Jordan Clarkson’s hot and and Colin seon is not I can understand pulling Clarkson over him but there’s no world where I see keontay George playing so many more
Minutes than Colin seon I understand the development part right completely understand it I believe in I’m a proponent for it but not in a game like this there was nothing Keon learned you just G you just you just basically had fans pay for 30 minutes right that 30 minutes of their tickets

Clarifier by and large like your top five is not going to be as high high up in aart as they have been in recent years right the blend between the first and the 20th pick is not there’s not a significant enough Gap right whereas in other drafts you’ve
Seen a lot of guys fall to like 18th 20th there’s been even a couple second round guys that have like Fallen under the radar or they had certain things that just weren’t ideal about them but when they got drafted they were in the right system to go ahead and succeed and
You’ve seen them do wonders and so far they have promising careers the expectation with this upcoming draft class in particular is that they don’t have as many of those pieces there’s the overall talent in the pool is not that high so yes there is a potential opportunity that you pick a second round
Sleeper or a late first round sleeper but by and large most people don’t expect that potential out of most of those guys so to speak so that’s what we mean when we say you know this draft class is weak it’s not to sit there and
Say like the top 10 guys are just trash like they’re not trash but the overall Talent on the paper is not as high as previous drafts and then the likelihood that you get a player that just surprises everybody is significantly lower though still possible it’s just objectively

Thought that KO was probably going to get traded to a contending team um but if that was the best offer that was on the table I can see them going ahead and forcing the issue just because you want to go ahead and clear those contracts obviously we
Bought out Kevin Knox so he’s not a factor anymore the only guy active on the roster right now from those trades is a Kier Lewis Jr and obviously he played like last two minutes of the game so nothing too crazy going on there auto porter was on on the bench and Street
Clos too um not that he’s actually going to be a factor at any point um those days are probably behind him as well so those contracts were willing to just let expire and let Taylor Hendrick roam free and play him some more minutes now do I
Think that he was worth more than 19 minutes definitely I want to see tayor Hendrick play 25 minutes a night don’t care where you get the minutes from don’t care who you take them from um you could take I’m willing to entertain a lot that has Lowry Kessler Hendricks dun uh ston

Iv been saying whole season that Keyonte is horrible defender. Also iv been saying that there is no hope jazz be top10 end of the season. Also iv been saying that tem is lot worse after trades. People may not understand how big impact those trades actually made. It affect everything and everyone in team. Also those trades made long term negative impact on the team and it results, not only this season but next season too.
Because jazz have Hardy as a coach and couple good players, they still can beat some of the worst teams in nba but everyone should understand that rest of this season is tanking. So Hardy didnt made mistake to play Keyonte over Dunn, even when he was horrible. That was subtle way to lose game what was they intention whole time. I just hope people dont think that jazz play for play-in spot when they obv dont wanted to do that.
Also iv been saying that Ainge made moves what affect negatively years to come. That we will see next season and after that. I still hope jazz get that PG what they need in next summer so next season wont be 3rd tank year on row. Without that it will be and team not allowed win games next season either.

I agree with you on KG's role and growth. Prior to the trade deadline his growth/role and lineups were ideal. He is not ready to step up like this… I honestly thought it was a lowkey statement game from the coaching staff to the FO that he ain't ready.
