I really believe we might be at a turning point in the luka era. With the help he got this season he finally started playing defense (the lack thereof hurt the mavs a lot in the past). This makes his teammates expend less energy on D (not having to often play 4 on 5) which gives them more energy on offense which further helps Luka and the team. This could therefore be the start of a great run of multiple seasons of contention for the Mavs

He’s gonna get more assists now
Two stats that should be shown to us plebs on a regular basis with all of the other standard stats:
1. Pass to assists
2. Pass leading to shooting foul
It’s ridiculous that we don’t have these on major sports networks when you know it’s collected quite easily.
This might be the single most impressive thing I’ve read or heard about Luka. This puts him in the 🐐 point guard/playmaker conversation, and should make him undisputably the best point guard/playmaker active right now. Unreal.
