Okay regrading the NBA’s biggest trades of all time at least people thought this was going to be a big trade so as a reminder in the summer of 2021 the wizard sent Russ to the Lakers for Kyle kosma Montes Herold kcp and a first here’s the thing I was never a fan of
This trade for the Lakers like teaming up three dominant paint scores together in today’s NBA just never made sense now Russ was coming off his lone season in DC where he averaged a triple double including a career-high 11.7 assists per game but man it’s hard to understate
Just how bad Russ was on the Lakers but it doesn’t just stop there because Kyle kozma has turned into easily the best player in this deal and the kind of guy the Lakers could use last thing the Lakers turned down a similar package for buddy heeld who not as good of a player
As Russ but would have been a way better fit so final grades at the time I hated it for the Lakers in hindsight I just love it for the Wizards

After getting wesbrook they traded him for some better talent and with kuzma being the okly player on the wizards from this trade the lakers kinda won it if Westbrook was still on the team and KCP wasnt in Denver and Harrell dont think he is in the league anymore so really the lakers won

Coming from a Laker fan and Russ’ fellow Bruin, yeah, I don’t know what the Lakers were thinking. The trade had such little potential from the start. And not only would the Hield trade have been a better fit, but we wouldn’t have had to give up KCP in that trade.

not the biggest trade of all time, just a normal offseason trade in recent memory. Andrew you gotta stop going off recency bias in all your vids. Ik your wizards won the trade but this trade wasn’t even that big in the span of this decade when you look at every nba team that’s traded a superstar/all star player.
And then the Wiz gave Denver KCP who has been a perfect fit in Denver and without him they would not have won the title.

hey man, love your videos, but I don't quite understand how the wizards get an A+ in hindsight. I get you're a dc fan and are biased, but they have one of the worst records in the nba this season. I feel like i might understand better if you went into what they flipped kcp for with the nuggets and who they got with that '21 pick, but to me that seems way too kind regardless.
