Joel Embiid Speaks Out on Sixers Deadline Moves…
The dust has settled of the NBA trade deadline and we have a clear picture of what these Sixers are going into things with now we still have to wait for for news of what the buyout candidates will be to fill out the final remaining three roster spots on the team we are getting
A little bit of noise from the sixer Superstar himself Joel embiid spoke out and took to Twitter to give a little bit of his trowel moment and give his thoughts on the process so to Dive Right In Joel’s specific tweet following the deadline this coming 46 minutes after
The deadline concluded saying lots of people got better with three exclamation points that’s fun for competition dot dot dot now Joelle knows exactly what he’s doing that we know who he is at this point in time we’ve lived through many many years and many eras of Joel embiid’s online Antics whether this be
The same guy that was tweeting at Kim Kardashian and tweeting at Rihanna before he even took step even before he stepped on an NBA floor the same dude that used to post pictures on Instagram dunking on Carl Anthony towns directly tagging him and calling himself soft
This is who Joe embiid is that at his core he likes to be a guy that has fun online and now he’s gotten a little more mature and a little bit more I would guess like Direct in the things that he’s doing that rather than being so
Obnoxious and blatant about it that he’s more of a subliminal guy that’ll send some send some notes send some directions and I think that’s exactly what he was doing for this case now while this is just a throwaway comment that frankly I wish you did not send I
Wish you didn’t click Send on that button I do think it is worth noting that I would love to hear whatever it is in Joel ID’s head right now that we do know the future of the sixer season is more or less fully dependent on when he
Can return and at what level he will be able to play at when he does step back on the floor that my personal opinion has always been when you have Joel embiid playing at the level he has proven to be playing this year you cannot afford to waste any season that
You don’t know how long that window will stay open to contend with him at his MVP level so you go for it year in and year out now I do think Daryl Mory kind of half stepped in that direction by making the Buddy heel trade and to go in and
Look at all their moves at the deadline these Sixers acquired buddy heeld Cameron Payne and two second round picks while trading away Marcus Morris feron corkas Patrick Beverly Jaden Springer Daniel house and four second round picks I do think these Sixers got marginally better at the trade deadline that I
Think the Buddy heeld impact is being undersold by a lot of people buddy heeld is going to be a 15o per game score for this Sixers team he’s a caliber of shooter that they just straight up didn’t have and he is going to be helpful in both allowing this team to
Tread water until embiid comes back and be even more lethal once embiid does step on the floor I think he is up there with the JJ reic is as far as what his role will be what caliber of shooter was be and it is not shortsighted to say
That buddy heeld is a top five three-point shooter across the entire NBA period that he’s that good on that combination of volume and efficiency I think people are going to be surprised what an impact that he does make you look back at his track record and he’s
Had a super positive impact on all teams and while there is a little bit of defensive concern the positive that he brings on the offensive end far outweighs that and frankly this team needs ways to score the ball right now but he is a guy that will be a concrete
Part of this team in the play playoffs and assuming that they are still in a good spot with Joel and beid returning we will see what happens from there but the other piece that I did want to tie into this and talk a great great bit
About is this Grand cap space plan by Daryl mury that we’ve been sold this method this strategy this mindset for several months now dating back to this summer when talking about the James Harden discussions and that he only wanted to trade James Harden away for expiring contracts to keep the maximum
Flexibility for this upcoming summer so to take a look at what the six-year salary sheet sh salary sheet exactly looks like as you can see Joel embiid Only books for two more seasons after this as well as a player option for the third and everyone else with the
Exception of Paul Reed is on an expiring that Paul Reed by the way it is a little bit of clause in there that they have to make it past the first round of the playoffs for those next two years to become guaranteed so there is still a
Chance that he becomes a free agent as well but the bottom line is that Daryl M has had all his focus on Paving out all this flexibility that since the time that Daryl M took over this Sixers franchise so much of his times and so much of the moves have been focused on
Undoing previous wrongs that backtracking on other works whether that meant trading way out Horford and having to attach draft picks to make that deal happen shipping off Ben Simmons all these other things that he’s had to work through and fix others mistakes this is now his chance to paint this roster as
He see fits and likely his last chance to retool a full full Championship Contender around Joel embiid now there is a little bit of a balance between this year and next year that obviously we know that the focus in Mor’s mind has absolutely shifted towards next year
That they did hold on to their three first round picks that were available for trade once they get to draft a that will extend to five first round picks that are available to trade based on timing and all those things that come along with it so there is the future
Outlook from there but the season’s going on that this Sixers team is still going to be in the playoffs so they sit at 30 and 20 right now at the time of recording this this is before the Hawks game at this point and to look at the
NBA standings as a whole Sixers in fifth place the Pacers just one game behind well a little bit behind them with a 29 and 24 record a little bit of difference in games played there the Miami Heat in seventh the Magic in eighth and they’re not that far off like they’re going to
Be in this playoff hunt it’s a vastly different outlook for this team whether they stay above that playing line or not I think that should be the absolute focus and I think it can be done that I think all these teams have vulnerabilities and I am hopeful that as
Bad as has looked right now when there starts to be some other guys that heal from injury guys like the Anthony Melton and Nico Batum that have been out of the lineup for extended time the team will look at least better than they do right now and I’m not saying they’re going to
Turn around and be this Championship contending Team without dwell embiid they’re just straight up not they’re hardly going to look like a playoff team but if they can just play slightly below 500 basketball you will stay above that top a top six seed in the East that
Right now they’re 10 games by above 500 that they just have to basically win 45 or more games and I do think that they can stay above that so if you can to win 15 more games from here on out I do think they have a really good chance of
Staying in the top six seeds and and then once you got a ticket of the dance we will see what happens from there how the buyout candidates come in will dictate what their overall chances are here but I did want to talk a little bit more on the the overall Long View here
That wanted to point to the next year’s free agents and this is one of the reasons I’ve been so critical this plan is this is pretty underwhelming to me that looking at the best players available Klay Thompson we’ve talked about him Tobias Harris we know how that
Story goes James Harden we’ve tried that Pascal sakam I think it’s very likely he resigns with the Pacers Gordon Hayward yuck Lowry available on a buyout Demar D rozan likely to resign with the Chicago Bulls buddy heeld we’ll see how this experience goes Mike connley H D’Angelo
Russell uh Gary Trent Jr Marquel folz Marcus Morris that is far from the star studded list that I think many have in mind and now there are guys that could become available LeBron James Paul George those are two names that jump out that could opt out of their player
Options and become available on the open Mark I know LeBron specifically seems to be teasing things and there was a report about Paul George and the Sixers being very aware that he has not signed his long-term extension yet but the bottom line is this isn’t this star studded
Team now what what are Star studed options that Daryl Mory has to attack now what there is appealing even Beyond just looking at these Stars it is this flexibility that no longer are these Sixers hamstrung to the $40 million you’re paying Tobias Harris or the the
Guys that you have on the books that you are committed to Daryl Mory will have a chance to rewrite things and I did want a shout out from Sixers Galaxy here tweeting this out saying I’ve seen a lot of Sixers fans confused about the cap space plan that Daryl Mo and the front
Office are operating under here’s a little breakdown the NBA cap projections 141 million the Sixers projected cap space 58.3 million it can become 65 million with Paul Reed’s contract not guaranteed the players under contract Joel envid and Paul Reed non- guaranteed well why would they preserve all this
Cap space when the free agent class isn’t that strong trades that’s why if Philadelphia has a max slot available the front office can simply trade away picks for a star player without giving up any valuable players or any player at all of their own also by not trading
Away any first rounders yesterday Phil can now offer up to five up to five around the draft those will come in handy when you’re bidding against teams like OKC and the Knicks who are all expect to be active in the star hunting Market this summer so I do think that is
Well said I’m just still a little shortsighted on there has to be a guy that becomes available for trade and I’m seeing The Whispers of names like Trey young I have no interest in that from a Sixers perspective I don’t think that’s going to be a good fit next to Joel and
I do think try young goes underrated in the conversation of how good he is on an NBA scale but I don’t see the fit from that standpoint Paul George seems like a pipe dream and a guy that I would love on this Sixers team but I can’t realistically see him leaving La LeBron
James obviously would be phenomenal but he’s also 40 years old he wants to be out out in LA and he want more specifically wants to play with bronnie James if he takes this NBA leap this year so every guy that I kind of talk myself into feels like there’s this
Little scratch next to it of why it won’t happen now in the end you are building build an ecosystem that should attract highlevel players that Joel embiid obviously still playing at an MVP level Tyrese Maxi this upand cominging star who has a blank check attached to
Whatever he will be being paid next year that the Sixers should absolutely lock him up on a long-term deal and he and with that by the way comes the pressure of then actually being the number two guy and we will see how that ultimately takes place I think the rest of this
Season will tell a lot about what the future outlook is for Tyrese Maxi frankly for the early early time frame looks like that he might not quite be ready to be guy capable of keeping an offense of float the way that they truly need him to right now maybe this is just
Him being a little under the weather I know that he’s battling some sickness I know he’s hitting a little bit of that wall midpoint of the Season there’s a lot going on that I’m not going to fully throw at Tyrese but it has been outside of those nights where he catches fire
And shoots the lights out from three can drop 51 points I haven’t seen that consistent level to elevate the floor of a team that you basically have to do as a star that is something that Joel embiid is so good at that I don’t think he gets the necessary Rec uh NE
Necessary acknowledgement for of when he’s on the floor they’re going to be a good team it’s as simple as that that he is that level of game-changing talent I don’t think Tyrese is ever going to approach the Joel EMB level of special as talented as he is but there still has
To be a little bit of more ability to raise everyone around you to increase the level of guys around you in a way that I have not quite seen from him’s still 23 years old got a long way to go and has answered every call so far so
I’m not going to say he can’t do it I don’t think there’s anything that I want to say he can’t do at this point cuz he’s blown through every expectation to this point but something to keep an eye on moving forward but this all comes down to what jel embiid’s Outlook is
That with that tweet that is something that kind of Sparks a little concern in my head that if Joel embiid is sick of things if Joel embiid is sick of just continuing to Kick the Can down the curb of not having this true plan of always pushing till next year I would
Understand and if Joel embiid walks in that office and says Daryl I’m sick of things I’m sick of this not being progress in us getting closer to this Championship Daryl kind of has to respect that so I’m not saying that Jo be is going to walk in there and request
To trade tomorrow in fact I think it’s much more likely that he does return to play this season recovers from the miniscus and they have some sort of playoff appearance but you do have to wonder what his long-term patience is I’m not going to act like these Sixers
Have been perfect in the way that they have managed both Joel and the organization as a whole in fact they’ve been pretty far from it so if that’s the case Joel is a special talent any team around the league would absolutely welcome him and it would take a hall to
Make it done I hate that the groundwork feels like it could be laid for a rebuild as well and if you want to do a rebuild the best time to do that is when you have a blank cap space as well so a lot to think about there I hope that is
Not the case I hope Joel embiid is fully hand inand and fully aligned with Daryl Mor’s Vision but there’s a lot that’s still to go down with in the Sixers organization and I would be lying if my Panic meter hasn’t increase slightly about the long-term future of Joel in
Recent days let me know what you guys think in the comments how legitimate of a concern is that and is that something that has not gotten enough attention I do want to hear from you guys with that make sure you’re dropping a like on this this video drop a subscribe to the
Channel and I’ll be talking with you next time right here on six years digest peace

I like cam payne but i dont think he is goin to can consistently give u those numbers every night. I would of prefered they keep Pat Bev I think he would have the team competing in the playoffs if embiid comes back
Lol, we 100% kept our picks so we can draft Bronny. 😂😂😂😂😂
I think they’re going to go after Mikal Bridges in the summer
Call me crazy but i want sixers to get Lowry & Stanley Johnson plus 1 other guy with 3 open roster spots
– Stanley is doing solid in G-League now & he belongs in NBA as good depth
When Maxey come back, no he not going to get 20😂😂😂just give me 10 or 14 pts
5 first for guys like Markennen? Caruso Drummond? Bojan? D Murray? Retain others in team friendly deals? Oubre Harris Nico Melt?
Sixers didn’t improve at all as long as Paul Reed Mo Bamba and KJ Martin are on this team. Tobias Harris is average at best
No defense
Buddy
Sucks Payne sucks
U won't make the playoffs
Kj Martin still on the roster lol
Terk can't play defense
Council looks lost
I can't wait to see them go against Celtics
The Philadelphia sixers always get the leftovers, We still need a good backup center, and Taller players and better shooters, To compete with other teams 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sixers Other teams always get better players 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Mo Bamba is not a center, is something of a awkward forward, beening the case , i believe Bol Bol would be better in that spot , offense, shot blocking.j can create own shot , handles too
Tank toward the bottom and draft Lebrons son. That seems to be the way to the top of the East.
Everyone who mad we got rid of Pat are the same ppl who hated that we got him in the offseason but I digress….
Tobias is embarrassing himself at this point.
There is no excuse why he doesn't average 25+
He should be questioned in every post game press conference on why he's not hitting that number
Just a reminder that the starting 5 of Maxey, Melton, Harris, Batum and Embiid had the highest point differential in league by a wide margin of any 5 man lineup. I truly think their plan is/was to have that be the playoff starting 5, meaning they need a couple pieces to fortify bench for playoffs. This means Buddy, Oubre, Payne, Reed and hopefully Lowry will all be coming off the bench, and that would be our 9 man playoff rotation. You can make it 10 by adding another buyout guy or hoping RoCo get’s healthy who can play PF and C that would be big.
Once we get healthy I think the starting 5 should be Maxey, Hield, Harris, Batum, Embiid with Melton and Oubre coming into together off the bench for an offense/defense dynamic energy. Then Reed, Payne, RoCo and whoever we get in buyout.
So now alongside the highest scoring duo in the league you have Harris, Hield and Oubre who have all averaged 20 ppg before and can get 20 on any night along with Melton and Payne who can also get 20 on any given night.
Hield, Maxey, Batum, Payne, Melton and Harris are 6 guys who have and can shoot 40% from 3 who along with Oubre can catch fire on any given night. If we add Lowry who was shooting 39% from 3 this season to the mix I think the vision becomes clearer.
Now had the Bulls not pulled out of the Drummond trade at the last second we would be in really good shape but nonetheless, this season is far from over.
I honestly feel like Embiid tweet was a passive aggressive way of saying he’s coming back this year so get ready. The ellipsis to me symbolized him saying to be continued when he’s back on the court. I think he meant it to give fans hope and not tap out like many have done already. But since he can’t flat out say he will be back because of medical reasons he said it that way.
What? you don't want D Russel?
That’s crazy.. you were just hatin last video….
I hear what you're saying but how can Joel give any kind of trade demands when my guy has never even had ONE season of being fully healthy. He has never played in anymore then 68 games. He also has just as many season under 60 games played as he does over that mark. He needs to have a year where he finally puts it all together and stays on the court for 70+ games, and is healthy for the playoffs. Then he can demand whatever trade he wants if they still cant get it done.
He didn't say anything lol
A name to consider for next year…Brandon Ingram.
He will be on the last year of his deal next season and if he doesn't sign an extension with The Pelicans I can see him being a solid option to want to trade for.
Sixers need to keep their picks. Their best two players BY FAR are guys that they drafted. As much as us fans hate to admit it, we're not a free agent destination. We never have been, not for elite players.
76rs NEEDS to head for YOUNG TALENT where's the youthful talent @ ?????
The NBA DRAFT 6rs forever trying TO CHEAT the growing process there's NO 9NE AVAILABLE THEYRE ALL TAKEN 76rs is NOT getting Zion Williamson
NOT getting Brandon Ingram
NOT getting CAVS & RAPTORS young studs BUOLD YOUR OWN talent and STOP projecting players not to be special.
Heck TRADE Joel Embiid hit restart
Bev love is Ludicrous
Buddy Hield impacting the shooting of volume and efficiency to provides more flexibility in the playoff
