Podz says that he envisions himself being the next cornerstone of the Warriors franchise:
>“When he retires, in how many years that may be, I feel like it’s my job to fulfill what he’s doing,” Podziemski told reporters.
>“Curry’s amazing,” Podziemski said. “Just to see the things he does, as a husband, father, and businessman. To see how he treats people — he’s never too good for anybody. He always wants to be treated just like everybody else. You know, for some stars, that may be different. They might want a different reality of life. But Steph’s one of those guys who doesn’t care. He just wants to be like everybody else. He just wants a chance to play basketball. He loves it for the right reason.”
>“He did a really good job the first day I was a Warrior, “Podziemski shared. “Just reaching out, FaceTiming me and talking with me — he just kind of opened that relationship up to start. He’s been a great vet toward me. Anything I’ve ever needed on the court and off the court, he’s been there to take care of me. So, I’m super appreciative and thankful for that.”

Steph Curly FTW!!
Steph = Naruto
Podz = Konohamaru?
Steph’s successor
Podz gives off the impression that he shoulders heavy burdens. The future success of this team is not all on him though.
Another one of those Podz quotes that’s gonna get taken out of context when media start using the headline “Podziemski says he will succeed Steph when he retires”. Just like they did him wrong when he said he’s like a mini Draymond.
Steph a real one and Podz has a real role model with him!
Nobody believed in him, makes sense to me. Obviously Steph went first round but there was a lot of slights towards him.
I expected this mindset and outlook of Poole, real shame how he’s doing now.
I’m all for Podz taking the reins as this franchises next point guard.
I’m really excited for this kid. The way he speaks, the way he carries himself, it really stands out to me. Even more so than his actual play (which has been great). There’s just something different about this guy.
He does not need to be Steph
Nor should he be Steph
He needs to be Podz. And he will succeed
I’d take Podz over Kuminga (or any player other than Steph) any day.
