As far as just Andrew an update is everybody everybody’s good or is there anyone everybody’s good uh I’m curious and I meant to ask you this after the game lineup you had at the end I know they brought you get the lead but is there any thought of putting maybe Josh

In on the defensive trip yes okay yep um he had mixed up a few switches and we had a game a couple couple games back where Eric switched out and uh got a stop on the last possession so we felt good with the guys that were loose and

In Rhythm Jo hadn’t been in and in 6 minutes or so um so we went with that curious when you look at just voice and I didn’t get a chance to ask you about how he how he looked in terms of when you go back and look at how he fit in in

Terms of considering yeah really good you know couple possessions where you still got to you know figure out what we’re you know learn what we’re doing and you know get acclimated to our system and his teammates but um you know a strong for showing any other uh

Situations in terms of these last two how big are these last two and then the first two out of the break in terms of what you’re trying to put moment yeah I mean every game matters you know what I mean we’re we’re definitely trending in the right direction I like the way we’re

We’re playing uh we did not play our our best basketball game and and still you know had a chance to uh you know beat a team like golden state that has a championship pedigree for the fourth time in one season which is very difficult to do so um if you can do that

Without playing it your best you know you’re going in the right direction and um you know every every game is going to matter going forward when you add a new guy to the roster go through his crash course right before the break how those conversations been with Royce and how

Has he been kind of absorbing yeah he’s a he’s a a true Pro you know what I mean he’s a respected vet he he understands he’s been with a few different teams and um he’s been wonderful in terms of uh you know just coming in I thought he was

Really communicative throughout the game the other night which is something um you know our team needs you know we we can we have a tendency to be too quiet as a basketball team overall and you know I like to you know how how he led you know even though it was his first

Game with our group you know so that was a positive thing and um you know he continues to uh you know have a high IQ and understanding of of picking things up Brad was telling us about how he was you know leading and telling guys to be

More to in his first game how reassuring is that that when you bring a guy in and you expect those types of things day one he’s ready to yeah he’s an intangibles guy you know you know all those things matter you know it’s not just about making shots and playing defense it’s

You know how can you help to group uh you know move forward and and help win games so um you know he does all that was learned from the Sacramento game with the comeback last time they were here and was not at all a confidence boost the come back yeah you know every

Success like that is confidence boost you know I think that the number one lesson is that you know this team is never out of a game with the fire power that we have and certain lineups that we can throw out there when we’re fully healthy um but we got to play better up

You know up until that point where we we had the deficit and uh you there’s definitely some things we can do better against this basketball team that we haven’t quite done to this point uh that we’re going to have to do tomorrow night to get this

W how much more potential does this team have now that Royce and David are added on to the Rost yeah def both of those guys definitely enhanced what we’re what we’re trying to do and uh you know Royce in particular is going to have a bigger role you know than David right away

David provides our you know some dep and uh a young Prospect uh you know that can uh you know if we’re depleted we can throw them in there you know give us a spark up from time to time but Roy we see as a rotational player that can uh

You really help our push going into the allstar break uh what are some of the adjustments you guys are going to make to take your team to the next L yeah I mean we got to continue to grow in all areas you know uh I still think we have

Uh another gear another level we can reach defensively I think we’re ranked 16th we were two days ago 16th in the NBA defensively and uh you know we definitely have we’re a team built build around offensive Firepower you know that has to to learn to compete uh on the

Defensive side of the ball because if uh you know if the offensive Talent we have plays team first offensive basketball and then really honors the defensive side of the ball as well we got a chance to do something special how important is keeping that level of communication with

Bryce and David through the allstar break to help get more acclimated to the team and what you guys we’re going to have a you know a crash course you know they’re they’re doing stuff today they’re going to do stuff tomorrow morning before the game and then uh once

They hit the break they they’ll be on break you know and then when we come back we’ll uh we’ll get right back after that that type of stuff the integration type of stuff and um you know hopefully those guys uh you know will be uh you know the the transition will be seamless

At that point in terms of addressing your two open spons you guys want to do what’s level that yeah those are questions really for our front off staner there’s been a lot of conversation guys that are available and uh you we’ll see how those things play

Out guys CL with the small ball line the guy already kind of looked at Roy and where he might be able to fit in with a group like that yeah absolutely he fits you know he’s another guy that you can put out there that can uh you can bomb

Threes and stretch out defenses you know so that uh those those guys have have that type of space that can uh you know really make them difficult to guard you know so he’s another guy um you know that we can throw in into uh our big

Three mix you know with grayon or and Eric um R is a guy you can throw in there as well go seeing Damen Le just at the game the other night you think wor he had in terms of getting back to head of schedule or on track on track you

Know hopefully at some point towards the end of the regular season you know we can start talking about uh you know where he’s at in terms of getting back on the floor he been able to do any on cour work at no you’re getting to that point where obviously Allstar breaks

Coming and then make that fin o vacation any idea are you going just I know you said you going to do some work but I didn’t know you were going to take any kind of time uh a little bit of both a little bit of both I definitely got to

You got to take a little reset you got to recharge the body recharge the brain now get ready for the second half it’s always a snap of a finger and it’s gone uh but at the same time I’ve missed a lot of time early on so I feel my body

Feels good I just want to keep keep it where it’s at um keep working on my game a little bit too curious just when have these last two and then the break and then you get that that that final push what are you looking to see maybe closing this little section out before

You guys go on the uh obviously get two wins you know uh we got to take a game at a time first but sack is tough opponent you know we played him very tough last time here I think that’s the game KD hit the game winner so you know

It’s a that was a really tough game really fast-paced game we we seen what pace looks like uh so we got our hands full tomorrow night for sure sabon has been playing at an elite level um so we got to make sure we we contain them slow

Them down try to get to this break with with two more wins and keep us at a good five what you think of Royce in his first kind of just thrown in the fire he’s a pro you know like you just say we threw him in the fire but uh you know

He’s you know when you you’ve played on multiple teams who you know have success and guys who can who are successful have playing with other stars like he he knows what what to do he knows what his role is and uh he even came in yesterday

And Challen I mean in the Golden State game and challenged us to communicate a little bit better than where we were you know so uh you know it’s just a testament to him being around uh and being a true Pro what the biggest part in terms of integrating a new guy and

Getting him kind of up to speed with that sort of Crash Course yeah I mean obviously it’s the the plays and the system and kind of just how we how we uh how we run things and how we you know defend sets and things of that nature

But you know for the most part it’s been a smooth transition everybody kind of has a similar you know copycat League we all steal each other’s plays Concepts and stuff so it’s probably more or less just terminology and things like that I think conceptually he’ll he’ll just it’s

It’s a free form like it’s a easily flowing and understandable Concepts that we have on both ends so think it’ll be okay how much you enjoy the process I mean obviously you know Royce and getting to know guys on a more deeper level now that your teammates like him d

Uh it’s always cool man I think it’s it’s also crazy for me because uh they make me realize how old I really am you know uh I think Nas had a birthday yesterday and he’s only I said are you 25 he said no I’m 24 I said

Okay well yeah I’m still old and I think Drew just turned 27 I’m like damn I thought Drew was a little bit closer to me he’s still young so I think it just kind of it’s putting some unnecessary years on me uh but it’s always fun man

To just learn guys you know and just develop relationships with guys I’ve been around a long time man so it’s it’s always a joy on to share the floor with guys this is everybody’s dream you know we’re all living it out at once on Saturday we saw Roy uh his ball movement

Just start kind of helping facilitate things like what do you think about that part of this game and what it what it brings to the team well it’s great cuz he’s not onedimensional you know he’s not just a Defender he’s not just a shers and I just you know he can put the

Ball on the floor uh he like I said he understands Concepts and kind of what his role could be and obviously they get better as you know we got more time and we we Implement him more but I mean he’s a like I said he’s a pro it’s just

Having a feel for the game we don’t try to complicate things uh but it’s just versatility that’s some that’s just another box that we check that that helps us he’s known for his pump pick I think that’s how he got his first three the other night did he ever get that one

With you probably play against probably has I mean that’s it’s definitely definitely in his in his Arsenal that’s a tough shot to make too so uh I mean he his ability to shoot is something we need uh we love and his tenacity on defense is is excellent so that’s he’s

Doing everything we need him to do you had a chance to go back and look at that last play and how close did you now see that you were to get this uh yes uh I uh we we didn’t guard the last play the right way uh but I still shouldn’t

Have went for the steal as close as it looked uh I probably still should have stayed solid and just forced him to shoot if he made it over me you know he he he makes it I mean that’s what he does you know so I rather him have a

Contest over hand versus no contest and a wide open look at the hoop so I mean hindsight of it I mean we can I hun I know I won’t make that mistake again for sure uh but I think we’ll be a lot better uh in the games for sure going

The bre how much more potential does this team have now that D and to the that’s the beauty of of trade deons you know you kind of let your hair down you can relax and like okay this is the team you know I’m not getting traded I’m not

Going move you know you can let all the worries go and anxiety or whatever you know now we can focus on this is our team this is what we’re building and we can hit the ground running you know and uh we’re excited about the two guys we

Have Davis is going to be an awesome to I think just his versatility his size his ability to guard multiple positions just like Roy like that’s everything that we need you know um and so hopefully we we Implement them the right way and uh it’s a smooth transition form

But we need these last two before the break is that last Sacramento game at all confidence buildall how much did that do for you with the come back and kind of spring man I feel like there was a lifetime ago but um I think those are definitely got us

Going for sure um just trending in the right way especially beating a team of their caliber a team was one of the hottest teams in the league at the time and then uh just the pace that they play with you know I think they were number

One in Pace at the time and they just play extremely fast they get a lot of Threes up um def Fox is a is a handful um Sab B is Malik mon Kevin herder Murray’s got a lot better you know everybody HB he’s good their whole

Team is dynamic you know we got to you know we got to make sure we understand you know Personnel um and take them out of their out of their actions we know they’re heavy DHL team with a bonus initiating so we just got to be physical I think we

Got to be a lot more physical than we were in Golden State game on that last play of the game where the ball got in Kevin’s hands you were slipping was that was that Draymond who called that out not to switch that that’s what you guys looking for

Right uh yeah it was supposed to be a lot for me just like get them to like get cause some switch confusion and if they both ran with me K was going to be wide open for a little like touch shot at the elbow um but draymond’s smart you

Know he’s going to lean on K and didn’t didn’t want to switch unless he knew he wanted to switch so I mean it was it was just a smart heads up play you guys have a back to back uh tomorrow and Wednesday how do you guys as a team kind of want

To build some momentum going into uh I mean we understand how important it is for us to get a win and important for us to stay at five and continue to move move up uh we’re in a really good spot but you know we could be in a better

Spot for sure we got to get these last two and uh you know after break we all know that’s that’s downhill after that but you know it’s we’re confident where we are um our energy is great our focus is where it needs to be we know we got a

Tough last tough two to ones for the break always everybody’s just looking forward for to just getting on their flights and going wherever they’re going but you know it’s we want to be a championship team we got to every game matters you know especially the last two

And the two after break as I always do the the first one obviously no practice really I working with coaches and did being thrown out there how did you feel about the way it went for uh yeah felt good I mean uh of course you know he

Wanted to win but uh I mean just you know getting that first one getting my feet wet um you know seeing the way I’m help help the team out and just being impactful any way I can be curious um Bradley just said that you challenge the guys to communicate better uh during the

Game how much was that just you being you that regardless of being on a new team what you were want to voice your voice that uh I mean that’s just me being me I mean uh I feel like you know in this game being you know as team

Communicate more you know helps each other out be more alert you know uh that way you know we all on the string and working together curious just even overall just you playing what thing did you see okay next game I can do this here and once I get more familiar with

The guys uh I mean just you know uh doing the little things like you know whether I got ini initiate the offense you know playing defense uh rebounding um you know being that leader uh talking more you know just helping guys out and you know learning my way around the team

You guys a practice practice or was this more of a uh yeah we got a little bit of practice uh I mean it was good you know get up and down you know go through the game plan and you know just C right you know getting to know each other more

What have you been focusing the most on Sunday since Sunday in terms of getting the system down most guys tell us it’s more terminology than schemes is that right uh yeah for sure I mean a lot of stuff you know kind of new uh you know principles that you know learn from

Previous teams situations uh and then uh you know terminology uh seeing how you know guarding different things and you know just reading the game how do you enjoy getting to know when your teammates I it’s only been a couple days so far but just uh being welcome

Inviting you guys uh I mean it feels good I mean trying to get to know everybody you know um I mean learning more about them each day you know seeing you know the way they play you know where they want the ball and stuff like that then off the court just getting to

Know them as people one of those conversations with Frank been like in terms of getting down to terminology like you were talking about things uh just I mean it’s been good I mean communicating you know day by day learning more and more watching videos film you know asking a lot of question

Questions but uh I mean him just allowed me to be myself and you know being a player that I am is this a is it a rush rush job to get all this done or is it more just slower than what I’m thinking this this feels like this is sped up

Like they trying to speed this up for you uh I mean you think so I mean uh first time been traded you know deadline uh you know new team new situation fast uh you know but uh I mean still day by day so it’s really a slow process I mean

Uh got two more games to the break so you know then come back you know get acclimated more and you know be ready to roll even though you feel like might be a lot at once coming in after the trade deadline do you feel like it’s a perfect

Time being that you could have the opportunity to watch more film during the allstar break uh for sure I mean uh you know learn offense more defense more uh you know games seeing how they played you know teams previous and uh you know going further just watching film seeing

How you know get an advantage how much more potential does this team have now that you’re add to the Lost I mean uh you know uh I mean a lot more I mean I feel like you know bring the glue in you know keep bring everybody together you

Know just be myself and not try to be anything that I’m not I know you’re relatively new to the team but what adjustments are you guys going to try to make uh where you’re at uh currently uh going into the all uh focus on you know

These two games uh and then going to the break you know feeling good and then come back after it and be ready when you get traded midseason does it feel like you’re on the endless Road trip now from now until the end of the year uh no not

Really I mean uh you know I kind of just make you know a focus on basketball have my people you know taking care of all this stuff you know so I don’t have to worry about it and then the people here you know been welcoming helpful you know

Anything that I need so making a transition real smooth Royce what do you think of Arizona curious I mean I like it you know uh I like this sun you know I might I might get a few Shades Darker but uh now I mean you know just to environment

Um I mean I never really spent time here so me get to you know move around and you know figure out the city I know you got to play a little bit less than your usual minutes against the Warriors just what was it like for the first time being on

The I mean whether I play 1 minute 5 20 40 I mean doesn’t matter to me play you know the same way as hard as I can but uh I mean it felt good just to get the first one out the way and then you know build on

It what does it felt like the a lot of establish uh it means a lot I mean guys that know the game you know been around uh you know uh you know been to the playoffs and further you know so I think you know that’s going to being able to

Learn from each other day by day seeing how each other you know motivate each other and then you know be able to hoop you see other players from Baylor that were in the NBA like Damon Mitchell you see where they’re at help get to that national title you what’s it feel like

Going up against guys that come from where you were I means a lot I mean uh you know helping you know recruit those guys uh seeing the things that they established throughout their career and then you know building a career for themselves in the NBA so I mean you know

One big family like they say and uh you know just happy for all those guys
