This Changes EVERYTHING… | New York Knicks News

The Knicks are set to get back two key rotational players to their roster this week in Dante de vinchenzo and Isaiah hartenstein OG and anobi is progressing well but that begs the question what’s going on with Julius Randall when is he going to return for the New York Nicks

This season and when he does eventually return is he going to need surgery this off season on that shoulder we’re going to break down this and so much more today if you’re not already subscribed to the channel go ahead and hit that subscribe button and now and make sure

You have notifications turned on so you don’t miss a second of the new content and now let’s get started Julius Randall might need offseason surgery to repair any lingering issues he has with that shoulder and here’s the thing with Randall he plays a bully ball style of basketball especially this year and when

He does that he takes a lot of contact down low the problem is with that type of injury that he has a dislocated shoulder the risk of reinjuring it and dislocating it again is extremely high and the only way to prevent that is to have surgery he’s not doing that this

Year because obviously if he did that he might be out for the rest of the year so the reason he didn’t get surgery is because he wants to be available for the Knicks for the rest of the season and also in the playoffs and potentially he can come back very healthy with little

Pain in that shoulder and be able to do all the things he was doing before for the New York Knick but he might still experience pain there that’s going to still have a lot of rehab that he’s going to need to do and eventually at some point in time I

Absolutely believe he’s going to need surgery that’s likely going to happen this offseason and according to NBA Insider Steph Bondi he helps give us some insight into the New York Knicks the players that are out right now when they could come back including Julius Randall according to Bondi hartenstein

Divan chenzo and bachd donovic are expected to return right after the All-Star break according to Tom thibo unknown for Julius Randall OG and Mitchell Robinson however he stated he’s expecting Julius to come back before the other two then he updated that take and he said he’s going to amend one part of

That original tweet by saying there are differing opinions on Julius he wants to get back ASAP others think it’s better for him to wait it out though we look into this further with NBA Insider Ian Bagley and he gives us the following information per Bagley the Knicks and

Randall are taking this time frame to see where he can go and what he can do after two to three weeks of rehab after that both parties will reconvene and make a decision on whether Randall will come back during the season how much he

Can handle if he does come back or if he needs surgery and will he be out for the year however with the way Randall has progressed in his rehab thus far the latter regarding surgery may be unlikely although nothing is certain as of yet he continues by stating range of motion and

Stability are two elements that will probably factor into the final decision Dr Neil Roth a veteran orthopedic surgeon who specializes in shoulder and KNE care sees a pathway for Randall to get back on the court during the regular season if he is stable in his range and doesn’t have instability symptoms he can

Resume normal activities said Roth who is the founder and director of the New York Sports medicine Institute Roth who hasn’t treated Randall directly notes that a basketball player dealing with the shoulder dislocation can be particularly vulnerable while rebounding that’s something worth keeping in mind as the Knicks and Randall move forward

Randall has been a key to New York’s successful rebounding this season and that’s exactly what I wanted to mention Julius Randall always good on the boards for the New York Knicks bullying down low trying to draw contact making sure he takes contact goes to the rim goes to the free throw line when

He’s running down low or he’s running up Court he is a freight train trying to take contact sparing his way in down low and still trying to make the bucket what I’m trying to say is Julius Randall his style of play him playing that way and given what the doctors are saying here

If he continues to play that way he could be at risk for injuring that shoulder again and dislocating it again so the Nicks and Julius Rand are going to have to be very careful for him returning when he returns but not only that what he can do after he returns cuz

I don’t know if he’s going to be able to do the rebounding that he was doing before and taking the same type of contact that he was doing before because if he does he might be out again for a significant amount of time and if you’re

The New York Knicks I don’t know if you can risk that and all of that is going to be factors playing into when he returns for the New York Knicks according to Dr Roth if Randall returns to the court this season and has surgery in the off season he could be back to

Work in late fall the Knicks obviously would benefit greatly if Randall returns during the season and there you have it and in my opinion that’s exactly the route Randall is going to go right now rand’s going to avoid surgery he’s going to try to rehab as aggressively as

Possible and make sure he returns on court for the New York Knicks as healthy as he can possibly be playing his style of game making sure this Nicks team gets better while while he’s playing for them cuz he’s not going to want to return and make them worse let’s get that right but

Here’s the problem with this entire thing and we just heard about it Julius Randle likes to follow an offseason routine he normally has that he likes to train he likes to play pickup ball he has a couple of things he likes to do last year he couldn’t do that because of

The ankle surgery and now it seems this off season he’s going to have the same issue again because now he seems like he’s going to have shoulder surgery if he has that according to Dr Roth who we just heard from he’s likely going to miss the entire off season and come back

In the fall probably for training camp same thing that happened this past off season and if that’s the case we kind of know what’s going to happen slow start to the season again before he picks it up and becomes an Allstar again so it seems like that’s the type of trajectory

He’s on but at least as of right now for Julius Randall it seems like he’s on Pace to be rehabbing properly and to be coming back for the New York Knicks very very soon it seems like he’s hitting all of his Milestones according to Tom thibo

And if he’s going to come back this season it’s likely meaning that he’s going to rehab the right way to avoid surgery just so he can come back to help the Knicks in their playoff run that’s why he’s doing this but then come this off season he is absolutely going to be

Scheduled for surgery to make sure that shoulder is not a problem moving forward and it doesn’t get dislocated moving forward as well too that’s the main reason he’s going to have the surgery but here’s something to think about now last year in in the playoffs everybody was saying about Julius Randall he

Didn’t show up he wasn’t there because of the ankle what are they going to say now are they going to blame his shoulder are they not going to give him credit for it are they going to cause issues about it are they going to go on social

Media on the timeline everywhere you can think of and start dogging Julius Randall because he’s not playing up the par it’s going to be very interesting to see how the fan base treats him and how he progresses throughout the season for the Knicks is he going to play the same

Type of basketball ball is he going to settle for more threes is he going to take contact the same way all of these things are question marks right now for Julius Randall and the thing is when you’re playing with an injury like that a dislocation in your shoulder and you

Know at any time if you take the wrong contact it could get dislocated again it might make you hesitate in some of the moves you normally make and if that’s going to happen to Julius Randall is he going to be the same effective Julius Randall the same impactful Julius

Randall that he was for us before the injury I think that’s something to consider and something we’re going to have to discuss and talk about because for me if I’m not going to get that same type of bully ball Randall that I had in the beginning of the Season I’m a little

Bit scared I can’t lie because that Randall was very impactful he was drawing two three Defenders and being able to find other players around the wing finding other players around the perimeter finding Jaylen Brunson whoever the player may be he was able to find them because he was AB absolutely

Reading what the defenses gave him and he was taking contact at the same time if he hesitates while doing that will he hesitate to pass will he hesitate to do all of these other things that’s the concern I have right now with Julius Randall and him coming back but here’s

The good news the good news is he absolutely wants to come back Steph Bondi the NBA Insider that we heard from at the top of the show said the following if you missed it Bondi expects Julius to be back before OG an anobi and Mitchell Robinson and and the reason

That’s such an important statement is because that’s saying that Julius Randall himself is rehabbing aggressively and he wants to come back and clearly that’s been the consensus around everybody around the New York Knicks organization right now Julius wants to return with a Vengeance he wants to return right now but the

Medical staff wants to make sure he hits every single Milestone and comes back healthy because again the nature of that injury is significant and scary if he takes another hit and he can dislocate it again randle’s initial time frame has him getting re-evaluated basically this week I assume he’s going to take on

Court activities in terms of basketball activities maybe some practice I’m not saying he’s going to be doing one-on-one anytime soon but he’s definitely going to be getting some practicing and getting some shooting done if he’s not already doing that already sooner or later after he hits all of those

Milestones gets done with full court practice he will return with the New York Knicks I anticipate Julius Randall returning early March o and anobi maybe mid to late March and if Mitchell Robinson even returns this season he’ll probably return at the end of this regular season going into the playoffs

The playoffs is where I think you’re really going to see Mitchell Robinson come back shine and have an impact but the good news here from Bondi is that help is coming hartenstein Dante D vinchenzo and boan bakd donovic they’re all set to return for the New York

Knicks on Thursday and that is music to my ears because I honestly guys the Knicks need that help we absolutely do we cannot keep getting injured missing a number of key players and think to ourselves we might have a chance we are always going to have that punchers

Chance but I can’t Bank on that I can’t keep hoping for that the Nicks need to get healthy get our players back get our depth back so that way we can be exactly what we were when we were healthy before one of the most deepest dangerous teams

In the entire NBA it’s only a a matter of time before we take that title back and all it takes is for the New York Knicks to get healthy once we get OG back once we get Julius back once we get Mitchell Robinson back and we are

Playing with a full house again Watch Out League watch out NBA because the Knicks are here we’re ready to stay and we’re ready to be a contender not only for this year but for many years to come but what about you guys what do you think about Julius Randall his injury

And potentially him needing offseason surgery on that shoulder let me know in the comments Below guys because honestly I would love to hear from you but that’s going to do it for this episode I hope you enjoyed it and if you did go ahead and smash that like button leave a

Comment below and of course guys please subscribe to the channel until next time Nick fans peace

The New York Knicks are still missing a few key players from their roster and they’ll be without key pieces when the team returns to action this Thursday. But thankfully, help is coming, the only question is when. Well thanks to NBA Insider Steph Bondy, he helps give us some insight on when key Knicks will be returning, including Randle. While Randle will be back for the Knicks this season, it does bring into focus the nature of his injury and if offseason surgery is needed for the 3x All-Star power forward. Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

  1. Well, no trophy this season for us, it seems🤔. I hope he watches more tape this offseas.

  2. ESPN player page for Julius Randle list his status as GTD but OG and Mitch are listed as OUT. Something tells me Julius is close to coming back and has met his rehab goals. We may see him soon on the court and suiting up for the Knicks for the playoff push.

  3. I’ve been watching your post for quite some time. I just subscribed today. I genuinely appreciate your enthusiasm, clarity and passion for the New York Knicks. You do a great job Bro.

  4. He should sit out to protect himself. Him playing through injuries doesn't help him personally. He'll be blamed for diminishing production just like last year. That first year in the playoffs is the only year he should have received some level of criticism. The team was too dependent on him to get shots for himself and others on the 1st playoff run. Thibs is terrible at offensive adjustments during the playoffs
