Unexpected Positives Coming For The Jazz
As I was pouring over the information since the trade deadline has come and gone for the Utah Jazz and just trying to find slivers of Hope and glimmers of daylight in this dark path towards the end of the season as it seems like we are prepared to tank I came across
Something that might be a little bit interesting now of course it is something that isn’t the most anticipated but it is something that potentially could serve as an unexpected positive in the facets of three specific players live by the end of the season thanks for tuning in this video it’s your boy Ray
Tubes go ah and smash that like button subscribe and turn on post notifications if you’re a Utah Jazz fan and you want to know more about the content if you have another NBA team you want me to cover go and follow my main Channel and suggest some videos in the comment
Sections that being said let’s go and get into this one now we know at the trade deadline we sent away Simone fono Kelly oen and oashi effectively depleting our reserves and the bench that had so often came in clutch and just performed up to standard to a allow
Lowry marinin Colin ston and the other guys to get things going on offense and to hold their own and maintain leads when they were able to fight their ways back into games as well as get ahead out the gate trading for several expiring contracts and a late first round pick
And an eventual second round pick didn’t seem to be the most enticing thing we’ve said that we understood that this is likely means that we’re going to be moving down the path towards switching into that rebuilding phase even deeper and once will hardy said in the press conference after the Warriors game that
Starting K George is going to be a main State for the remainder of the season with 28 games to go it just all but concluded to us what we already were unfortunately fearful of occurring basically we are going to go ahead and forego this season and just focus on the
Development of the younger players which while it is a necessity you would also like them to play in meaningful games and play in tight games and I believe that with Keon George at the helm it’s going to be a very significant period of time before we actually see some close
Games where meaningful minutes are played by him and Taylor Hendrick Bry sensal seems to be on the back burner at the moment because again we just saw tht get minutes even though Bryce was active now Bryce has been dealing with a couple injuries I believe they’re both hip
Injuries as of late but he was active and available to play and just didn’t get to go ahead to get some burn in understanding that though uh the biggest piece that I think has something to prove during this 28 game span is going to be Keon George we’ve seen him start
For a span of 6 games earlier on in the season and that did not go well he was paired alongside Jordan Clarkson so that might have had something to do with it but even in this most recent game going against the greatest shooter of all time he suffered on offense and defense and
It was abysmal to say the best quite horrendous to say the worst if I am to be quite Frank however the Silver Lining is it quite possibly can’t get any worse than that game we just saw him play we know he has been at times an up and down
But overall capable playmaker he does tend to hit timely shots when he was coming off the bench now now in the start he’s going to have to find a way to create his own Rhythm and get the job done and also facilitate for guys like Lowry John Collins and Walker Kesler who
Do most of their damage when somebody else provides them with the ball now originally of course this was more of a Kelly o linic or Chris dun or a Colin ston job but it’s going to fall more so on Keon George going forward for the remainder of the Season though Chris D
Will still get minutes they’re relegating him to the bench roll where he’ll still be playing roughly 15 to 20 minutes on a nightly basis this is going to the time where Keon George either proves it or loses it he has the chance to go ahead and show them exactly why he
Was worth being selected in the mid teens of the NBA draft this past season and just genuinely showing that he is the future point guard for this franchise that should be paired up alongside Walker Kessler and Larry marinan and has the ability to lead them eventually to the promised land or
Develop into of significant peace on a roster that will end up taking the Utah Jazz to the promised land the the biggest thing right now has been his shooting percentages because he has tended to be mostly streaky more specifically his ability to shoot threes off of the catch and then defensively
Just being in the right spots properly communicating and not getting absolutely annihilated in simple pick and roll actions or just an offb actions where he sometimes gets caught sleeping I believe that over this 28 game span he’s going to have a significant amount of time especially if he ends up playing 30 to
33 minutes on a nightly basis to get those necessary reps and while it might be a little B of force feeding him and he might be drowning a little bit it’s going to be a sinker swim situation either he’s going to have a Kevin Kno kind of situation in New York where he
Just ultimately has too much on his plate and just can’t eat it all or he’s going to go down the route of other NBA greats who were given a lot of opportunity at the very beginning and though they weren’t prepared he will eventually go through an exponential
Growth period where he goes from being a guy that’s just on the court to a guy that’s genuinely affecting the game with every play that he touches the ball ball I believe that he can really take strides in that direction but it’s only a matter of time before we genuinely see
It moving forward on to Taylor Hendricks who is the other prioritized rookie and the highest drafted rookie for this team obviously we know that he had been stashed in the G League the best way to describe him as green though I do brag on his defensive capabilities and his
Abilities to be a very strong helps side Defender he still doesn’t completely understand a lot of defensive schemes and the types of zones that the Utah Jazz actually implement though the SLC Stars g-league affiliate team runs similar systems they’re not the exact same and Taylor Hendricks has to learn
How to adapt at the highest level of basketball on the globe I believe that he is capable of doing it but I think it might take him a little bit of time to get into the role and genuinely not look lost on the court because there were times against the Golden State Warriors
Specifically where he was a little bit rough he did show that green behind the ears factor and on offense he just has to round his game out more I think that 28 games is a very significant sample size especially if they have him playing roughly 20 minutes hopefully I can see
Them playing him closer to 25 minutes on a nightly basis and then at that point you’re just stacking days and he has a lot of time to make a lot of mistakes but also get significantly better with those same reps again 28 games over a quarter of the season and now that he’s
Had his time in the G league and though it wasn’t the most impressive thing you know averaging 14 and a half points but shooting 45% from the field and roughly 35% from three we know his shooting splits are okay we know he can scor the
Ball but he didn’t stand out in the G league and usually when you have a player that was drafted really high in the NBA draft or just a guy that’s supposed to be really good you hope that he goes to the g-league affiliate and he
Really Cuts up a rug BR sens the ball from a scoring standpoint did that but defensively he’s leaving a much to be desired Taylor Hendricks has played decently on defense and played decently on offense but hasn’t really done anything to jump off the page which has
Been the main problem for him and the reason why a lot of people aren’t high on him and also think that he’s a bust though he hasn’t had a genuine opport opportunity to show what he’s actually capable of I believe that now is a goodest time of any and with this 28
Game stand coming up it’s time for him to really just face off against some of the League’s best players again the Utah Jazz do have a top five toughest strength of schedule and I believe that it’s going to be a great test of character for him obviously I said Keon
George before but Taylor Hendricks because he’s had less reps at the NBA level whereas Keon George was majority on the roster the entire time and then started for a 16 game stint and then got benched and just recently got reinstated but he’s been playing in almost every single game bar injury teror Hendrick
Hasn’t had that luxury so he’s going to have to do a lot more learning on the Fly and I think he’s capable of it but it’s going to be a gargantuan task that he’s going to have to undertake and genuinely show that he wants it if he
Does manage to pick up the way that I think he will his size length and just physical Talent will help carry him just a little bit to allow him to really get acclimated to what all is going on with the team I believe that he will
Ultimately end up being a key cog in the machine but if by the end of this season he or Keon George don’t show enough Improvement we could see some mumblings behind the front office doors of them looking around trying to see if there’s another Young Piece that they could go
After or somebody potentially in the draft that could show more immediate upside as opposed to some project player that’s going to take five six seven years to get things done because again they plan on keeping LW Market in but he’s 26 right now going on 27 so he
Can’t really afford to waste six or seven more years of his life it’s bad enough that they are going in the road that they are going right now because the locker room is not happy with it I.E the guys that were on the team previous to the trade deadline and lost some of
Their brothers instead of getting some more pieces back to help them and make a playoff push the last and final piece but arguably the most important for obvious reasons is lry marinan now we know that Larry marinan has been the most consistent scorer alongside Colin ston he’s been the most formidable Foe
For other teams to scheme out of the offensive sets for for the Utah Jazz and just try and force him into difficult situations now it becomes easy at times because he does do most of his damage off the catch or off of one dribble we’ve seen him try and create a little
Bit more over the past 10 or so games you experimenting with a couple more behind the back moves a couple between the legs just trying to get a little bit more acclimated to doing stuff with the ball in his hands and while it hasn’t been the most superbly looking thing and
The shooting percentages don’t necessarily jump off the page in his favor it’s still a step in the right direction and I believe over this next 28 game stint it’s going to become harder for him to come by a bucket because he no longer has fono who was a
Scoring Outlet he no longer has Kelly lenck who was a hub and he also no longer has oai abaji who admittedly on offense wasn’t doing a significant amount but was still a piece nevertheless as you restrict the rotation and add more rookies into the mix and give them more minutes you’re
Going to find a world where Larry Markin has to do more for this team to be competitive in the games that they play now admittedly we understand they’re going to probably lose most of their games but you want to look like you deserve to be on the basketball court
And Lowry is a guy that likes winning at heart and hates losing so tanking last season wasn’t something that he loved taking this season is something he’s definitely not loving but at the very least I think that the one thing that he can definitely approve on is his own
Individual playmaking and his own shot creation if he can take those two things to a new level over this next 28 game span Lowry coming into the off season and then coming into next season will be an entirely different animal many people had the question and I even beg did on
My channel in a previous video is lry Markin in a first option on a championship caliber team and a lot of us said he’s a 2A 2B maybe even a terrific 3A type player on a championship team because of his skill set he’s really tall he’s arguably the
Tallest best shooter in the league if you want to go Carl times I can understand but to me L marinin shooting affects the game significantly more he’s also a solid Defender though he could take a step up in that department as well and the thing that really holds him
Back is the fact that he doesn’t shoot off the dribble very well and he doesn’t playmake for others very often if he can get up his assists to like 3 and 1 half maybe even four by the end of the season and consistently be getting anywhere from three to six assists that’s going
To be a huge upgrade to what we’ve seen out of him and if he can put the ball on the deck and get to his buckets a lot more often like we’ve been seeing him try a little bit if he can try a little bit more and also get really good at it
By the end of the season this might actually be a sneaky smart decision by Danny a because he’s ultimately forcing growth out of these guys through the situation of stress as the saying goes weak men make hard times and hard times Force the creation of strong men and
With strong men likely these three if things pan out well they will create a world of Peace in the Utah Jazz nation and ideally that is what ends up coming of this along with the help from the draft Capital that we do have as we all know we have a significant amount
Roughly 13 picks over the next 6 years and just a multitude of options for things that we can really get done as well as a significant amount of cap room space to resign L Markin resign Chris Dunn and also perhaps if there is a player that makes sense to trade for or
To pick up in free agency we will have a little bit of change to go ahead and spend in their Direction I believe that it’s going to be very important that we make the right decisions going forward and I believe that this one could be a particular positive that a lot of people
Aren’t putting enough emphasis on obviously I don’t think con section benefits most from this because his game doesn’t really change much he’s an efficient score he can’t really become a much better Defender because he’s so small but the best thing he can do is probably Mentor George and help push him
As a more efficient scorer since he isn’t exactly the most tenacious defender in and of himself though he is an impact player in his own right but with that being said you guys let me know what you think in the comments below let me know if any of these three
Players that I mentioned before should take a elite because of these Dire Straits that we are currently in or if you think that all three of them will roughly stay in line with with who they’ve been the entirety of this season as always I’m interested to hear you

In this video we discuss the positives that could come in the immediate future by the Utah Jazz players despite them having an inevitably harder time competing after the trade deadline. Lauri Markkanen, Keyonte George, and Taylor Hendricks now have time to truly experiment and see how they can either get acclimated to the NBA level (Taylor) or improve their games and individual skills to better suite the future needs of the team in the event of its future championship aspirations arrival.

Some agree with the management, some don't. Doesn't make either right. Just perspectives. Some may have more info to add to their take, some may be just based on their being fans of the team. Either way, we are all Jazz fans. We can agree and disagree without tearing into each other.
No doubt Ryan and Danny look at all perspectives as being part of being a fan. They win either way.
Makes sense regarding Lauri and his recent issues.
Appreciate the optimistic take–I'm curious to see how well coach Hardy+staff facilitates the team cohesion. Here's hoping the Jazz have another rabbit in their hat, 🤞 Great vid Wraith!
Thanks for the positive message🙏
Why are people so upset by a tank. If you want a championship you have to make sacrifices. ALL TEAMS DO! It’s the way the NBA is. Quit crying and be patient. It’s no different than any walk of life. If you can’t see that then you’ll never be elite in your own walk of life. Cmon people, it’s a process!
Purely speculative tinfoil hat is either the scouting and managment suddenly found someone they must really want in the upcoming draft or they are planning to consolidate the picks for a veteran
Before i jump Keyonte train, he need actually start show some development in defence end. Shooting comes and goes for every player, but defence you can always trust. He have no defence at all. That makes him very unrealiable, some days his offence is good enough to make up his lack of defence. Some days he have troubles in both ends of the floor. So, he is not very playable in any decent team if he stays this level of defence.
I havent see Hendricks enough yet to say much, but so far he is nothing special. Barely deserve place on the bench. However, he need more time to show what he got. Same i can say Sansabaugh. All rookies are bad first couple years usually. We cant say yet are they good players, rotation players or out of the league in few years. All possibilities are still there.
What comes to Lauri, we already see how much these trades did affect to him. There is no much future for him to stay in jazz. That may be Ainge goal whole time, trade him in the summer when his value is still high. And especially make Lauri wanted out by being bad team enough and nothing good coming in seeable future.
I really hate this whole situation utah, they bet everything on chance if some of they coming draft picks will be superstar. Its possible, but chance is very slim to make that happening. Jazz best asset atm is Will Hardy, that tells how bad they roster situation is right now. Yes, Sexton is good, and Lauri is good if they guard play improve a lot. Now they cant use Lauri as much than they hope for. Its easy other team defend him when there is not much passers in the team. As we have seen last couple games. This GSW game today show how it gonna be rest of the season. They simply defend Lauri and let Keyonte and Sexton beat them if they can. They will win some games, but not many.
Here is a suggestion for an NBA topic (with applies to tanking). Take a look at the last 10 NBA champions, how many tanked to get a title….OKC may well be the next, but an example close to home for me, the 76ers look like they have failed, as Embid is too Fra-Gil-ly…
IMO George is the most likely to significantly grow as a player. The other 2 rooks look to my eyes to have a lower ceiling and Lauri has just about reached his. I do think that the floor for all of them is solid rotation player. No busts in the group
If Utah wanna be a top 5 team in NBA only way is buy playmaker who is same page with Lauri Markkanen and he is really good.. I really hope Utah finally try be a top 5 team in NBA.
