(@DerekBodnerNBA) 1:30 pm injury report: For the Sixers, Robert Covington (knee), Joel Embiid (knee) and De’Anthony Melton (back) are out. Nic Batum (hamstring) is questionable. For the Knicks, Randle, Robinson and OG remain out. Bojan Bogdanovic and Isaiah Hartenstein are probable.

Guessing meltons back didn’t respond well to practice which sucks

it’s pretty clear DeAnthony and Batum are just going to aggravate their injuries when they eventually return. Sixers will be shorthanded the rest of the way.

i feel bad for melton. he was in line for a nice payday this summer, have to think his back has cost him a good chunk of change

No one should be counting on Melton being reliable in these last months. Back problems last year, now he’s out for a month+. Love having him but who knows what were getting

  5. This fucking sucks. How is melton been out half the fucking season

Better to be extra cautious with the back. Hes important for the rotation and he currently has a precursor to a stress fracture/minor stress fracture. Explains why he doesnt dunk as much like he did in Memphis. If it actually develops into a stress fracture, he’d be out for months more and definitely miss playoffs. Its the right decision as much as we hate it.
