POSTCAST – Golden State Warriors and Utah Jazz play a stirring game to the whistle

Insanity at Delta Center to close out before the All-Star break Warriors score the most points ever in franchise history against the Jazz and then we go to the wire and the Jazz fall short but a great one we’ll talk about it coming up on postcast you are locked on Jazz your

Daily podcast on the Utah Jazz part of the locked on podcast Network your team every day David lock along with Ron Boone as the Utah Jazz and the Golden State Warriors wow wow so if you just caught the end of it the Jazz LED after one 3936 then it was

8471 Warriors at the half the Warriors 84 points is the most ever scored against the Jets the end of three it’s 120 102 clay Thompson at that point has 35 points in 18 minutes the two teams are combined shooting over 50% from three on like 70

Attempts this is still for a game with 93 three point attempts I I’m we’re 42 of 91 from theot three I’m not sure there’s been a lot of games with 93 Point attempts with a higher percentage and the craziest thing about it is that Steph Curry wasn’t a part of it like we

Have the greatest three-point shooter in the history of the game and had one of the greatest three Point shooting nights and ever and then we have just a million plays to talk about as the Jazz bring it all the way back outscoring the Warriors in the fourth quarter 3520 Colin seon

Gets a wide openen three on I don’t know how they got it wide open on the right side it’s not truly his strength to make that shot off the bounce and he missed it it’s hard shot John Collins In The Jazz offensive rebounding was incredible late Collins had the ball on an

Offensive rebound down below suffocated by three guys but we’re within one and couldn’t get the ball out of traffic with 4 seconds left and threw the ball uh into the fifth row and the Jazz oh my gosh all right I’ll stop so much to it

I’ll stop so much to it that that play at the end of the ball game with Colin seon getting the it was a excellent play Rant to cat to get Colin SE in shot in the corner but if you watch the rookie from Santa Clair he jumps and runs right

By him right and then all of a sudden SE has plenty of time to find the seams and it just didn’t fall really and you know Jazz really battle and I think maybe the most important thing is we go back to what will hardy said the first press conference after the trade done

Like Hey we’re it’s gonna be a little messy and it it was messy but maybe they found a little soul tonight and a little texture to who they are uh because that they battled a really good team and they battled them hard yeah um they trailed by as many as what

19 uh you know a lot of times with teams like this to give up you know there some fight but they usually don’t get back in the ball game give themselves a chance to win you just have to give will um some kudos to that fourth quarter I mean

He just left certain guys out there on the floor and and the momentum has swung and he went with it got back in the ball game gave himself a chance to win all right the headliner got to be keante I got bunch of guys other guys I want to

Talk about but keante has a monster night tonight he finishes with nine three-pointers he takes 16 which actually is a really special talent he has 33 points tonight he had six rebounds he had or two rebounds he had six assists he went he just went at

Steph Curry I mean battled he that’s the hardest game we’ve ever seen Keon play like that’s the hardest we’ve ever seen him play out there 40 minutes he put in out there very well balanced and and very much under control except for you know a shot or two you’re going to run

Into things like that but you spent 40 minutes out there on the floor and you’re productive that’s meant that the coach he he didn’t want to take you out he had you knew he had something going what do you what do you see ad him tonight tonight goes against one of the

Greatest in the NBA two not very good defensive guards and Curry and psky takes advantage of him he obviously had the three just flowing but what did you see him in the in the in the 40 minutes like how he evolved throughout the night

Th this is what I saw David and and you see it when when a guy gets hot when he makes a couple of shots now you’re starting to feel it uh your defense picks up because you’re you’re feeling good about yourself we saw Kay Thompson it happened to him and he’s been a

Veteran in this league for a long time he had it going uh and just start start to play better your energy level picks up the confidence goes and and with a young player like like keante uh I tell you he’s feeling very good about himself right now does not like the fact that

They lost but he’s also he’s feeling good pretty good about the way he played uh Deon has his career high tonight with 33 obviously had the three ball going ran the offense a good deal lots of really interesting aspects to it um I I actually Lowry had a brutal start to the

Night he was uh at the end of three quarters I don’t have it in front of me here he didn’t score in the third in the third quarter he only had five points at the half and he finishes so he has five points he finishes with 20 so I think he

Had 15 in the fourth quarter like I I’m super impressed by that like he was having a miserable night I mean it’s not only that he was I think he was like one for 12 or 1 for 13 I have to look it up um I just thought that like a little bit

Of the guy to me that exemplified the fight the most was Lowry he’s having a terrible night it’s the night before the All-Star break he is really struggling he wasn’t very efficient last night and then he answers with a a marvelous fourth quarter he does Miss a big three

That would tie it he came up short on it late we just missed a bunch of shots late that could have and made a bunch of plays late that could have done it um but I I was really impressed by I I thought his play was emblematic of the

Jazz overall fight yeah 15 points there in that fourth quarter for the most part and uh he ended up knocking down what four threes in the in the quarter um well yeah four threes for the ball game but you got to go with guys like that

That’s your star I mean you got to figure that he’s going to he’s going to get hot he’s going to you know make some things happen out there on the four you got to you have to go with him he he responded in in in the in the ball game

Ended up with 13 rebounds there as well so his aggressiveness didn’t change he just wasn’t knocking down shots I I just want to try to make sure that like everyone’s got what this game was it’s like you can say I I’ve been one I I I gotta like I

Guess I’ll like play my card and then give my thought so I think this complaining about the offensive explosion that’s going on is really ridiculous like I I find it absurd what’s happened in this league is that Steph Curry came in the league 15 years ago and changed the way the games played

And now every single player in the game can shoot and the amount of space on the floor is so astronomical it’s impossible to defend okay so the scoring through the roof it’s impossible to defend and tonight to me is actually one of the greatest examples of this we had the

Best shooter in the history of the game on the floor doing nothing except for taking so much gravity that everyone else is able to get and every other guy could make shots the only guy on the floor tonight who couldn’t make a three was Walker Kessler and V Looney

Everybody else could do it through like three and a half quarters the two teams were combined shooting 50% from three and had taken 80 of them they’re growing up mindblowing they’re growing up shooting the three-point shot I mean 12th graders I’m watch the 12th graders

I mean 12 year olds play look at Taylor Hendricks his only offensive skill is at 69 he can shoot a three yeah they’re growing up shooting threes the range is is is unbelievable um you know that used to be a very tough shot where it some

Guys forcing it to the basket now it’s just a shot that’s easy and so they taking them tonight was just bedum of offense now as it got late close the Jazz kept rolling and they started missing a little bit and I mean but it was just a bedum

Offensive night tonight I just I’m just blown away but I watched it was incredible and I do I know it’s a jazz show but the storyline that Thompson gets benched for the first time in 728 games it was March of 2012 the last time he came off the bench 35 points in 28

Minutes and seven for 13 from the three-point line and that’s his answer that’s pretty incredible yeah wow all right there’s a lot to talk about Saxton was actually the one guy not shooting a ton of Threes went to the free throw line 13 times

Um wow I I we have to go back through the playby playay but obviously late game just quick late game thoughts Lowry misses a three to tie it Collins the Jaz do incredible job they just dominate The Glass late they just pounding all of them going after glass late game offensive rebounding

Super important and way up in the league I mean great Hustle by all of them Lowry’s hustle on the boards was insane then John Collins gets I think maybe the offensive rebound off the Lowry Miss and he is suffocated like there’s a ton of guys around him throws it into the

Third row and then Colin gets a wide open three and doesn’t hit it like so wow Keon George blue like the one mistake Keon made tonight he kind of blew the offense tried to force it went left-handed which is preference and then traveled and turned it over I I think

Thorough hit it correctly and it’s far as what he thought John Collins was feeling in the 3se second Zone a little bit too long and I had to get rid of it um well and add in there was only four seconds left in the game and there’s no

Chance he knew how much time there’s zero chance John Collins knew how much time was on the clock in the sense that in the rebound going for the rebound the play is happening the shot goes up you’re thinking it’s late there’s not much time right when this when the shot

Goes up you’re thinking there’s not very much time left corre now you battle for the rebound and you have it and you’re in traffic you don’t have any idea there’s four seconds you don’t have any idea there’s one second and the only thing you’re thinking is dear God don’t

Hold the ball with the horn goes off right that’s that’s what you’re thinking I’m gonna I’ll give John Collins a total pass on that yeah wow fun night some great I gotta tell you what there’s a guy in our chat room every single night and I

Love him because he’s in our chat room every night which means he’s a fan I’m not gonna criti him but he literally is the most negative person I’ve ever seen he literally found a way to criticize Kon me like he’s you literally have to be so negative to be like criticizing Keon

Tonight I just love you for it I actually got to be honest there is a part of me that is that same person that’s that critical so I do kind of love you matw for that but that’s crazy crazy stuff right it’s 48 minutes of basketball it’s a long game all right I

Don’t feel like we should stop because and I don’t know even feel like I’m actually so flustered I don’t even know if we did a very good show here um I usually know when we finish show like oh we covered everything I have wow lot of progress made tonight for the Jazz

Incredible game and on the level of like you buy tickets so that you can be entertained you it have to be a static and if you went to that game you’re a fan yeah um Ron Boon can we can we take a couple about a minute and so talk

About Draymond Green yeah you see the importance of of a player like that on on a team uh that and and Steve cerr has to be like you know I got a six foot6 center that runs this basketball team passing rebounding and as he says he thinks d m is the best defensive

Player in the league physical doesn’t block a lot of shots but you don’t beat him off the dribble uh and he’s not afraid to mix it up picks up two quick fouls in the first quarter Boom the other night we played and picked up three first Pils in the

First quarter and ends up getting one for the rest of the ball game I mean it’s just it’s great I mean and you know everyone’s writing the Warriors obituary he was gone for a month yeah like he’s really important he was gone for a month so and now they’re fighting back yeah

Now they’ve won eight of their last 10 yeah funny how that works all right I think it’s easy Tonight line yeah without a doubt you’re looking at what 21 uh 40 shots that’s unbelievable yeah 21 or 40 between the two Jazz fall tonight 140 137 in a great one thanks for tuning in

To postcast I’ll be back with you for lock on Jazz it’s an Ask LJ Edition so if you have any questions about the Jazz send them to me on X or uh at delock 09 thanks very much have a great night we now send you over to the first ever 20

The Golden State Warriors held off the Utah Jazz 140-137. Klay Thompson and Keyonte George dueled throughout the night. The Jazz battled to the end and missed an open three late and a turnover stalled the comeback.

  1. When is Hardy gonna lose his shit on the refs? They mugged Laurie over and over. No whistles. Touch foul on Jazz whistle after whistle. Bias fir the refs? Perhaps. Im objective but a young team and the coach diesnt get a T to stick up for his guys? Its hard to play 5 on 8. Our guys showed heart but defense is indeed lacking. The backdoor cuts are killing us. Every team is doing it to us. I would be surprised if we win 10 games the rest of the season. Enjoy the break worshipping King James ughhhh

  2. Perfect tanking game, exciting in the end, great rookie performance. Sells tickets and we're still losing…😅
