Woj on Randle: “There’s not full clarity on this yet…Last season…ankle…there was a lot of suggestion…have that surgery during the season…he didn’t…His inclination’s to play hurt…put anything off til the offseason…But that’s not been fully decided”

He’s got that dog in him forever
Some nice needed context to all the haters who keep trashing Randle for his playoff performance last season
And he and Brunson had the highest +/- on the team in the Miami series. RJ was -37. Obi was something like -20 something. Grimes was a – as well.
He is full of dawg, obviously he wants to come back and not leave us to hang and I hope he can keep his shoulder healthy upon return… if he does return
And fans will blame him and say he’s a shitty playoff performer
Most heart on the Knicks. It’s undeniable at this point.
It’s awesome that he wants to rush back, but there are three major problems with that. One, he will not be 100% for the rest of the season. Two, he risks re injuring and making it A LOT worse. Three, if he waits until the off season to have major shoulder surgery, he most likely will not be back in time for the start of the season next year.
Not surprised to see because they have to see how Randle responds to rehab nothing new honestly
So glad that the leader of this team is Julius. He had his emotional moments but it’s clear that all comes from the love of competition. Hope he does what’s best for his health, we need him back at his strongest next year
He’s going to want to give it a go, and if pops back out of place, it pops back out of place
Just needs some quack to eventually clear him for contact
Damn, this front office is zipped up. WOJ not having any extra information than whats been already said publicly.
Fuck Miami
All the clowns on this sub and in the media now that Ju is hurt are like “woah Knicks need him back he’s pivotal!” But before the injury “eh he’s alright. Knicks can’t win with him though”.
We’re obviously a better team with Thibs coaching.
I hate to say this, but is our ceiling that our players will give their all, and be hurt for long stretches of time, leaving us just outside the elite teams.
(It feels really good to have the Knicks in the descusion of one of the best teams in the NBA, but I want to temper my expectations of this is our ceiling)
He’ll play, but it’ll be injured Randle like last year IMO.
Still. anything he can give is appreciated and needed
I really respect how much this guy loves playing
