Frank c'mon man. You need to have an elite player. Look at all the top teams in the West. Every team has monster players. The Rockets are just not at that part of the rebuilding process. One of these young guns needs to become a star otherwise we will never get out of this mediocrity.
Either Alpi or JG should play in the top 5 but not together. It would be more effective for the Rockets.
Rockets lead 73-69 when Alpi out at 3.rd qtr and when he got back to the game on the 4th qtr OKC was leading 99-85. I don't say Alpi was playing super good but at least

All the issues mentioned by Space does not necessarily to bench Fred imo. He arguably has better value when he does not dominate the ball. Both him and Sengun are perfectly comfortable with taking a step back and letting others cook. We need another guard next to him who can garner some attention as PnR ball handler, and create some rim pressure. I was hoping for Jalen to take that role, but it doesnât feel like heâll become that guy.
i will be honest to u guys. i am not a huge Huston fan. i watch huston and basketball after 10 15 years again because of ALP.
But right now the team is in a big struggle. the reason for this is very easy actually. it is not rocket science. the team can not switch adjust into diffrent situation of the games fast enough. sometimes u see it in the face of the players. they have a bad run and they look clueless. they dont now whats happening. like my little son when he plays soccer. he looks at my face like “i do what i do and we still loose, what else can i do“. esspecially Sengun give that looks to me. but thats a turkish mentality. he gets overwhelmed from his feelings positve or negative to much. they need to empty there minds and be more cool in certain situation.
Take the OKC route and like Chet, play bari at the 5
It looked to me Ime gave Jalen the OK to just dribble around and try to get a layup somehow. That was a poor example for the rest of the team. I don't know why Amen and Cam had poor 2nd halves. Maybe whenever Stone has Ime give Jalen special and undeserved attention the other guys are like, "okay, we are not going to play with that stuff going on." So sick of watching Jalen Green play. Sick to dead of Stone being our GM.

Ime kinda bad with in game adjustments and really stubborn on not giving Amen and Cam more minutes. Not sure why they didn't pass the ball to Jabari more when he was hot from 3.
Space you sound devastated. Three words…Tillman, Stone, Udoka. I don't think the running and gunning style 80% of the time is the way, they can't shoot, can't control the ball & game. They built bad point blank. All around fundamentals are still not there. No Offense. Been leaning on Fred, Dillion, and Jeff toooo much. Personally I don't have good feelings going forward…

Space, one thing you said that rings true! You don't like a SMALL PG! And I agree! The same reason you don't like small PGs is the same reason I don't like small centers, they tend to struggle against bigger players.
Frank is a fan of Sengun and I think its skewed his analysis of who to build around.
Additionally, this team does not have an IDENTITY. You have 6 or so players who want to RUN and 2 players who don't. You CAN NOT subject the majority to appease the minority, especially when the minority isn't to a level of worth building around.

Man the only thing Iâd disagree with is that you said OKC doesnât like to get out and run. They are the number 1 fast break team in the world. But what makes them so good is they canât beat you in the half court as well. They know how to adjust and arenât one dimensional so yes just from watching last nights game, they LOOKED like a half court team cause thatâs what the game called for. They beat you running up and down too tho.
