Are the cavs planning to retire anyones jersey soon?

I’m at the Cleveland Monsters game now, and there’s a new covered banner up in the rafters next to big Zs retired #11

I looked around but didn’t see an announcement anywhere.

I could see them retiring LeBron, Kyrie, and Love’s Jerseys all at the same time, or at least very close to each other. All three will most likely retire at close to the same time, and all three are easily the most important players in Cavs’ history who have yet to have a jersey retired.

Isn’t it usually customary to retire them after the player retires from the NBA?

It’s for the goose after last nights shot. Obviously.

Anderson Varejao, it is your time!

Seems a bit soon to retire Cesi Osman’s number but I’ll allow it.

  6. Cavs already stated that Kevin love and LeBron are getting their jerseys retired. Maybe Kevin love is gonna retire soon

My brother does maintenance at romofiho. He said they hung a Tacko Fall jersey for a big reveal.

Wait, you all retired Mark Price’s jersey!! How cool! Oh boy him versus Bill Self during high school were some incredible games. Absolute bedlam. Packed house. Loud as hell. Those guys were so clutch. People don’t know that Bill Self was an incredible player too, but not quite like Price. Great memories!

LeBron, Kyrie and Love for sure. I wouldn’t be surprised if they all go in together.

Other than those three? The only one I can possibly see is Varejao. I don’t think he put up numbers that would be “worthy” of a number being retired, but because he played for thirteen seasons with the Cavs and was such a fan favorite, I can see him getting the nod.

Other than him, I don’t think anyone else gets in.

Several years from now, we may start talking about Mobley, Allen, Garland or Mitchell. All four of those guys can play at All-Star levels and be impactful for many years to come. If Mitchell does resign, and continues to play like he has, he’ll hand from the rafters too.

I think it might be a banner of Nicks bow tie (dan gilbert’s son). I think that’s fair cause everytime he was at the lottery we got the #1 pick
