Kerr on his adjustments: “We gotten healthy. It took a while to figure out our team. We were leaning on what we were two years ago when we won the championship early in the season and that wasn’t working, I gave that a good long look. We eventually changed things up. Young guys taking a leap” (1:07)

He has been coaching well lately. Loon & Saric minutes have been reduced.

Everyone’s said to use the young guns long before Kerr started too. Glad he finally let go of that.

Give Kerr credit for finally creating a Reddit account

Finally. We’ve all been screaming about this for long enough. Better late than never but hopefully it’s not too late.

Excited to see how the younger players handle the postseason.

Im not gonna say I told you so but…

It took you half the season to make adjustments

We kill Kerr a lot for the rotations and waiting too long to make moves, but from a long game perspective, he gives a lot of the vets chance after chance after chance so that when he ultimately makes a move, it’s kind of inarguable. Might take a little too long sometimes, but probably great for overall team buy-in.

Basically what lot of ppl in this sub have been saying.

We sucked bc team was too old. Rotations too slow.

Thankfully the young guys have really stepped up.

Shout out to Moody. This MF was on the bench since coming back from injury. Gets to start and is doing a stellar job!!

Super random observation: Coach Kerr really seems to be looking better lately. Have we had any updates re: that nightmarish back condition/leaking spinal fluid thing? IDK, he looked pained to me for years now, but he seems more comfortable lately.

That’s 13 of 16. If GS flukes out and wins in Boston, that’ll make the Denver loss fade real quick. GS would be viewed as a dangerous team in the West. If they can find that extra gear at home, maybe they’ll be up for making a credible playoff push despite Wiggins’ lack of availability.

Unusual behavior, requiring an NBA team to provide the same player open-ended leaves of absence, during the playoff race, in consecutive seasons. Not sure I’ve seen it before. Wiggins is in the dream employee situation — Kerr will tolerate the behavior, both bc of who he is, and also bc AW is an irreplaceable asset on the books.

    Sucks for the Dubs tho.

This is so refreshing to hear, took him longer than it should have but it’s finally paying off.

I mean it was kinda unprecedented to go from our starters with from the highest +/- in the league to the lowest. Alongside the worst bench to the bench (early on).

Over the course of one summer, somehow Klay, Wiggs & Loon forgot to play basketball for the first half of the season, & Dray was going ballistic. I think any coach would be a bit out of their element.

Why did it take you 2 years to start Kuminga

  14. candyman58

Sure took you awhile to figure it out huh

Absolutely love Steve Kerr, most underrated coach of all time

Funny how when we look at Kerr’s track record this season, he’s basically gotten flamed for not making dramatic changes fast enough. Now he’s made all those adjustments: benched Klay, reduced Looney’s minutes, featured Kuminga and let the young guys carry. But because of the internet’s prisoner-of-the-moment blinders you’d think that Kerr was the exact opposite of dynamic and flexible. Turns out that in the real world there are inherent constraints to making radical changes overnight, and indeed Kerr was wise to take his time.
