[Andrews] The Warriors didn’t come up with their defensive game plan until about 15 minutes before leaving the locker room to try something different and try to find weak spots, Draymond said. “It didn’t work, oh well, we move on. I thought it was fun to try.”

Sometimes a coach needs to coach and not let players try dumb things

Idk what to feel about this….

On one hand, hey it looks like we didn’t take the game seriously so it wasn’t a true reflection of us at all

On the other hand, why aren’t they taking games seriously when every game matters and when they’re in a very tight playoff race?

But they had injuries and were super gassed so ig they deserve a pass

This game quite clear they didn’t see the point of it.

I’ll be annoyed if they get rolled by the bucks next.

Maybe the offensive game plan was 15 minutes after they got back to the dressing room

Whose idea was it to leave Brown completely wide open.

I mean, we really are not a serious team at times, are we.

No way that this wasn’t a Draymond idea 15 minutes beforehand and the coaches said that it was ok to give it a try. But, it didn’t work and Draymond is smart enough to know to adjust but didn’t.

Whatever, I understand. You’re not gonna prep for the last game of a roadtrip against the best regular season team, you’re gonna prep for the ones that are more winnable.

They were giving jaylen brown the ben simmons treatment

  10. I feel like this has to be paraphrased poorly lol because there’s no way the coaches went all the way up until 15 mins before without a game plan.

Wiggins is their best wing defender. Life is going to be very hard without him. Front office needs to put in work this summer to put a reliable wing next to Steph.

If anything you leave Tatum open, not Brown

Typical Kerr n Dray playing 5D chess. Not giving Celtics any game plan video that they can study and use against us in the championships.

I said this on another thread but I think the coaching staff (rightly) knew that we weren’t going to beat this team straight up with the injuries and missing players at the tail end of our roadtrip. This strategy was a gamble to see if we could get in Brown’s head and have him miss some open looks, knowing that he can spiral at times. Obviously it backfired but I imagine they knew that was possible and went for the gamble play with nothing to lose.

Tbh I’d rather us get blown out like this early and be able to rest our starters than die a slow death and lose by 18 at the end while burning out our players.

This is the kind of lost that make me avoid the r/nba for a whole day lmao

This isn’t a team we’re trying to climb over, so, in the grand scheme a L here is the least painful L to take. Sucks that it’s on a big stage but the silver lining is Booker’s ankle.

If that’s true why didn’t they change it up once they figured out it flopped?

One thing they have to get better at is adjusting in game.

It’s also the kind of game where they should have just told the young guys to have fun and ISO. Let JK and Moody go off. Lester on the other hand, I just can’t with that chucking on 3’s like he was burning possessions on purpose.

  18. Chess not checkers. You will see unusual or different defensive schemes against the better teams. Remember, for Kerr and Warriors, the regular season is the testing ground for strategy. Most of the season the team has been trying to figure out how good they can play, they know they can compete now. Now it’s time to strategize for the playoffs. There are layers to how they operate. The key will be if they have enough juice to make a deep run…last year, the juice ran out after Sac series.

When have we beat a team with decent size . Small ball is dead.

  20. He better not say “oh well” in the play-ins.

It is disrespectful to fans paying money to see them play, isn’t it?
